  1. Holy crap! I'll be eager to see more pictures from better angles, that's nuts!
  2. So I guess it's safe to say you won't be there with the rest of us with a can of gas and a box of matches?
  3. ^We got Junior And you got Zack Morris.
  4. No doubt that it's a smart choice to charge extra if it keeps a 100+ year old ride in operation.
  5. ^No lie, the new GCI and now this latest GG creation are just about enough to convince me to abstain on any of the 2011 trips and save for China in 2012.
  6. This is very exciting news, indeed. Now I'll have to go get a shovel and start digging to the other side of the Earth to ride it!
  7. ^Appreciate it! If only we could get guests to not be....well...........unintelligent, we'd probably get another 3 or 4 cycles an hour.
  8. ^Come by Nighthawk, there's a couple of TPR supervisors there.
  9. Quoted for absolute truth. First thought that crossed my mind while reading it.
  10. ^Hammer, meet nail. Why fix up the rusty old truck when you can get a shiny new Camaro?
  11. I just think it's not your traditional Kennywood type coaster, which is why it looks so out of place (or at least it does to me). If you had told me Kennywood would ever get a launched coaster, I probably would have laughed pretty hard. Still looks like it might be a solid ride though.
  12. ^Well I suppose it's related to whatever re-profiling is going to happen then. Either that or they just saw it as a nice opportunity to do some structural work, since they're ripping down half the ride anyway.
  13. Ok Caps, time to close the series out tonight. Really don't want to think about yet another Game 7 for them.
  14. ^I could be wrong, but I'm sure the structure needs a little more bracing with this heavier track going in.
  15. It's no worse than people calling rides ridiculous nicknames like Timmy, Termy, Maggie, Millie, etc., yet nobody gets an atomic wedgie from their panties being in a wad over that.
  16. ^I wasn't serious at all, I was actually being quite sarcastic. Apparently using the "X" spelling is a small step below mass murder around these parts.
  17. ^Don't use the "X" spelling of exciting! Every time you do, a kitten gets thrown into a wood chipper, a bus full of nuns careens off a cliff, and a panda bear eats a midget! IT'S THAT SERIOUS OF A PROBLEM!!!!
  18. Don't remember the Silver Bullet crew doing anything obnoxious while I was there during WCB, but 1. I was exhausted and delirious, and 2. it may have just been a good day for them. Honestly, if you go to SFOG, you won't leave a single station without having been annoyed to the point of suicide while waiting. I can't even begin to imagine another park that's worse than how they are on the microphone. Not to mention the time they waste asking riders if they're ready to ride when the train is ready to dispatch.
  19. That's Xtremely Xcellent news to get Xcited about, I'll be Xtra sure to make an Xtraordinary effort in the future to return to KBF and Xperience Xcelerator.
  20. ^Yes it's just before the turn around where the existing trims are. They just have to make sure the brake pads contact and line up correctly with the brake fins on the train.
  21. This photo was apparently taken in the fall, not recently. We placed a car on the track to install a new trim brake. Did I mention we have a new water ride this year? It's pretty sweet. Well that's rather boring considering some of the more outlandish theories we had.
  22. I rode in the back car a few times during WCB, and while it wasn't the smoothest ride in the world, it was FAR from the roughest I've ever been on. And it's one of the most intense wooden coasters I've been on, too. Maybe I'm just used to the Rampage back row punishment.
