^Two things. 1. Groupthink. 2. Don't let other peoples' opinions bother you so much. There are very few things more insignificant in life than other people's opinions on the internet. -

Look up the train colors to the other recent coasters like TTD and Maverick, they all have exotic names. -

^This is true. Come to think of it, I hope the max height isn't anything less than 6'5" for this one. -

^I definitely see your point, but I think this might have more near misses and foot choppers created by supports than the video shows. I know for a fact that Wild Eagle surprised the hell out of me with how many foot choppers there were that weren't noticeable on the animations or POVs. -

^CP has always taken existing coaster concepts and just supersized them. I think Maverick is the only example where they didn't. -

I'm sure they are pretty much used to Cedar Point one-upping them every 1-2 years after they put in their latest big installment. Shockwave begets Magnum, Batman begets Raptor, Raging Bull begets Millennium Force, V2 begets Wicked Twister, and now X-Flight begets Gatekeeper. This whole post makes me -

I'm going to go ahead and say that the left side of the train is going to be the place to be while riding. -

^I just remember the testing video from far away where you can hear it and the redneck guy goes "there's that B&M roar." I honestly don't remember from when I actually rode it. Edit: Just watched a couple videos of it, and it doesn't really "roar," per se, but it's not silent, either (silent like Hyrda, Talon, etc.). -

^^^Off the top of my head, Leviathan, Intimidator, and Wild Eagle all have the roar. I'm also fairly certain that Shambhala, Diamondback, and Behemoth also do, but I could be wrong on those. -

^Well they kept Maverick quiet for whatever reasons, so you never know. It's entirely possible they'll want it quiet to make it easier on the workers at the front gate, but we'll see. -

^It's all timed up to how long it takes a train to crest the lift hill. Magnum is a great example. Often times you'll see them dispatch a train as the train before it is cresting the 2nd hill, and there isn't another block brake until the very end of the ride. However, it takes well over a minute for the train to crest the lift hill after leaving the station, so they are able to dispatch it well before the train ahead of it ever finishes the course. Most hypers are timed up in a similar manner since it takes a while for them to climb the lift hill. -

It's only a parking lot coaster if a majority of the ride sits on the parking lot and the park doesn't bother to remove the parking lines (a la Scream). -

^^Wild Eagle is not that tall, it just happens to go up a natural hill. To me, lift height is the difference in height between the top of the lift hill and the ground below it. Otherwise, someone could just build a lift hill up the side of a mountain and have it be a wild mouse after that and still claim to have the "tallest" in the world. -

To clear this up, nothing about the exit of the tunnel was modified. Only the heartline roll was changed. -

I'm 6'5" and I love Maverick. In fact, it's my #4 steel coaster. Does it make my neck sore sometimes? Sure, but it's really not THAT bad. -

This whole "Gatekeeper" thing has me waxing nostalgic about an old hilarious board game called "Nightmare" we used to play.
