Knoebels was a blast, especially if you like throwback parks. But if they want more modern things to do, go to Dorney. Waldameer is a nice park, too, and it has Ravine Flyer II, but it's not really an "all day" park.

^^Is the ride cycle 5 minutes? Forgive my ignorance on Star Flyers, I don't really know much about them other than they're Wave Swingers on steroids. I gotta think that MaXair (especially with loading time taken into consideration) has similar capacity to what this ride would have. -

I'm being told it will hold 64 people. Depending on how long the ride cycle is, it might not be that bad for capacity. -

Just found out (you know I'm not going to tell you how, so please don't ask), that it's going to be a Star Flyer for sure, and it's going to be 300 feet tall. Kudos to whoever called that one first. -

Epic! Awesome job! -
While it may be true for some, Skycoasters are as absolutely failsafe as they come. They are, unequivocally, the safest rides in the entire industry. The set of circumstances that would have to happen for a serious injury and/or fatality would have to be so ludicrously absurdly off the wall. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning while simultaneously being attacked by a shark and being sat on by a whale with legs. I could list the reasons why it's so safe, but that would take too long, and you should just take my word for it. Now back on topic, I hope the girl makes a speedy recovery.

^The rides are rated 1-5. They aren't rated based on comparison to one another, but probably by criteria set forth by the park itself. If it's a high speed ride, goes upside down, is rough, etc., it will probably be a 5. -

^The photo eye that I was referring to earlier in the thread is the fail safe. There's a photo eye that detects all seven pedals (which have reflectors on them) leaving the station as the train is pulled up the first hill. If the photo eye doesn't detect seven pedals, the ride e-stops itself. -

I'm really not playing the "I know something you don't know" game, I'm just making a point that regardless of what I know, I have a contractual obligation to not share that information. I can tell everyone it's going to be a while, but that's about it. Patience will be key on this one. It's nothing horribly wrong with the ride, it's just going to take some time. In the mean time, enjoy all of our other coasters that don't make you feel like you're having an aneurysm . -

^If it's anything like Zoomerang, it has a photo eye detection system at the exit of the station to make sure all foot pedals are in the upright and locked position. If any of the foot pedals is down, the ride will e-stop itself. In fact, Robb experienced this first hand last year when TPR was at AA (one of our operators wasn't too bright). -

As do I, but I wouldn't exactly be a model employee if I shared confidential company information with the world.
