Which one's older? The Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Boardwalk or at Belmont Park. One of those two are the oldest ones that I've riden.

I was in Las Vegas for about a week and I didi get a chance to ride Manhattan Express. It still had the old trains and it was one of the worst rides I have probably ever been on.

The rollercoaster in Final Destination 3 was Corkscrew at Playland in Vancouver. Revolution and Colossus from SFMM came out in National Lampoon's Vacation. Titan, Batman and a piece of Mr.Freeze came out in Spy Kids 2.

I'd help out all my local parks such as SFMM. First I would buy them out from Six Flags and make sure everything was still standing inside that park. I'd also add a few coasters as well.

Are thse parks still open while they're up for sale?

Here in SoCal, Belmont Park is open year round along with SeaWorld, KBF , DLR and SFMM. The parks just close earlier. SFMM usually closes around 5 or 6 on weekdays and 8 on the weekend s around Christmas and Thanksgiving.

I always wondered if something like that would ever be built on a rollerocoaster also.

If they do close this park down, they should at least relocate the rollerocosters to KBF or SFMW and keep them on the West Coast.

I don't get it. Now that SFMM has been sold, does that mean they're going to tear it down just like Astroworld or they're just going to be owned by Six Flags?

How crowded is the park on weekdays? We're planning to go on the 30th but I dont know if it will be 4 hour lines for X as usual. What do you think?

The closest parks near me are Belmont Park and Seaworld.

Why watch the making of the movies when you can watch the movie itself? Speaking of movies, I just came back from watching Tokyo Drift and all I have to say is "wow, that is the best one yet".

I've never been in that store but we drive by there a lot.

Everything was perfect in the morning. We beat all of the traffic crowds on the Interstate 15 yesterday. The drive from here in San Diego to Las Vegas was only 4 1/2 hours from San Diego to Las Vegas. We leave at 7:00 AM and arrive towards Buffalo Bills at 11:30 AM. We find out the Desperado is closed due to windy conditions. Oh well. This was the #1 reason me and my family drove out there. We arrive at the Strip. Manhattan Express, Speed: The Ride and all the other major attractions outdoors are all closed. We never found out if the Canyon Blaster was operating or not. The windy conditions seriuosely affected our scheduled plan. We were supposed to get all of our rides on the Strip, but that didn't happen. Instead, we were looking for any attraction that was open. We were at the Texas Statiion for a few hours. At about 7:30 PM we arrived at Buffalo Bills. To our surprise, they were testing Desperado. By 8:15 PM, it was up and running where we just bought half day passes and rode it as much as we could until midnight. Here I am today. We just arrived. Overall, this trip didn't go as planned due to the bad weather conditions.
