  1. Ahh yes I remember those times well. Wait, no I don't. I was born while PCW was still under consturction. Though really at that time the amusement park business in general wasn't all that booming. Cedar Point definetly wasn't the blockbuster park in 1980 that it is now.
  2. It's really only one hater. The rest of us have more realistic expectations.
  3. I've been somewhat trying all year to get out to La Ronde. I was really hoping to go this weekend, but haven't been able to find anyone to come with me. Not sure if I want to go that far just to go to a park by myself. Going to be a boring long weekend now.
  4. Well, I've seen both used. Extended Ride Time is more used to describe ERT with a large turnout. kind of like some of the past coastermanias, where there's so many people there that it's not really exclusive at all.
  5. It was dying because there wasn't anything to talk about. And really still isn't anything to talk about. That reference was really no more obvious then the signs that everyone's been arguing over for 100 pages.
  6. Rcdb has a glossary : Link And found this one via google: Link
  7. ERT is Exlusive Ride Time. It's time that typically is during off park hours when a park opens a ride for a certain group. For instance on the UK trip a park would bring us in to the park an hour early and have 1 or 2 roller coasters open for us. That's ERT.
  8. ^ You're reading into things too much.
  9. ^ Not too mention that PCW is run much better then SFGAdv. SFGAdv just has the better ride lineup.
  10. You're message is lost unless you have about a million freinds. As long as Wonderland is getting 3+ million people a year nothing is going to change. Sure, CF might end up giving us a decent coaster at some point, but Wonderland will never be in a position to get a good ride constantly like SFGadv,CP,etc. That is unless a park worth of competion is built closeby.
  11. Price increases aren't going to be related to what each park is getting. If they think they can get more, then they will raise prices. I wouldn't be surprised to see $60 season passes at Canadas Wonderland go away. I'm sure they could raise the prices and still get the same number of passes.
  12. Hopefully firefox can turn itself around. I reverted back to an old version because I found the newest version to crash too often. Haven't bothered to try upgrading since.
  13. ^ Lightning has a tendancy to fry circuits. It's quite common to have to completely rewire the electrical in a house after it gets hit. So if a ride is hit by lightning it can quite easilly take otu sensors, computer control systems, etc.
  14. ^ Take the wait times Twister II posted and divide them by half. that's probably roughly what you should expect. If you go in September MF and TTD should be the only rides with a real line.
  15. A lightning rod won't make something imune to lightning though. It'll help yes, but lightning can and will get around it from time to time. Mother nature's a bitch, a little pole isn't going to stop her.
  16. Lightning protectors are never going to protect the ride 100%. Lightning hits rides all the time, quite often causing damage that has to be repaired.
  17. I think I esimated about $3500 Canadian total that I spent. $2100 was roughly the cost of the trip(add in included). Quite a few meals and such were included. Though how much to forcast for future trips depends on the specific case.
  18. Dreamweaver is just another HTML editor with a GUI side to it. Think of it as a gloriphied text editor. It's basically like frontpage except it generates cleaner code. I gotta be honest though that getting Dreamweaver or Photoshop is NOT going to make your site look more profesional. Thes are just tools, you need to know what they're doing in the background to really get the most out of them. Making something profesional looking requires you know what your site needs to look like, and how to make it display that way. Probably just gives you more questions than answers though.
  19. ^ Of course I know that, I just called it Pleasurebeach because it sounded better. Yeah, that's it. Ahh, crap. Oh well, the majority of people who read my blog won't know the difference. Pleasureland, Pleasurebeach, Pleasurewood, it's too hard to remember.
  20. lol I did that when I was a teenager. My parents never asked me to trim the hedges again.
  21. I've gotten the problem of the chat locking up before. Basically it stops refreshing and you have to close and re-enter chat. Haven't seen it the last few times I've been in chat however. (And I haven't been in much lately)
  22. ^I'm guessing La Ronde must be an exception then. As it's not a Six Flags branded park, just a Six Flags run park.
  23. Is that specific to SFGAM? I checked out La Ronde and they have a $50 mid season pass, and it specifically states that it's good at all parks. Link Thinking of heading up to La Ronde, and if I got that pass I could use it at SFOG if I spring for that.
  24. ^ By worry about parking he means paying for parking. By staying at an on-point resort, or staying at Breakers Express with a room packacke that lets him not pay the $10 for parking.
