  1. ^Personally, I think it could have replaced Devil's Dive, or even be positioned near it, but that's just me.
  2. Yeah, it is Calico Mine. Is Calico Mine, similar to a haunted mansion ride, just a mine train? (In other words, is it an actual mine, goes underground, or is it covered in scenery). I've never been to Knott's before, however I would like to go.
  3. Well, I've spent about an hour custom supporting the 4D coaster, and I'm about half done. I also heard this on the news this evening... This gives me the idea that Stoks Co. could be going into debt. Even more supports.
  4. ^Check out my post on pg2 about the Blue Thunder coaster. Click on that link, and you will be on New Element, NE. Click on a little tab that says 'parks', then click on spotlight under that tab. They are all of the best RCT and RCT2 parks. Download any of them and you should be able to get some cool roofs.
  5. ^^ Thankyou soooooo much. ^Your buildings aren't that blocky, all you need is to download some custom scenery, check BRTeller's Epic Adventures park, as well as some of the parks over at NE. Also, try to add more shapes, and little awnings coming out of the building. Hope this helps.
  6. Does anyone know where I can an objdata going by the name of SECHAIRO? I've tryed searching for it in the RCT2 objdata database but can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I just started trying out supporting the 4D coaster, IMO it looks alright, I know they need a lot more work, I'm just wondering how they look so far and how I can improve them. Supports. More supports.
  8. Good to see you are back in 'normal' RCT2, lol. Looks great so far, but as I haven't been to KI, I can't really judge on realism.
  9. I've got a quick question for you all to ponder How could I support a 4D coaster, I've got all of Toon's B&M supports, but I'm not sure if these are the right supports to use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Might I suggest changing the name of the woodie The park looks good so far, I really like the woodie, however I do agree with Reon on the blocking of the coaster. The easiest way to fix this (this is how I do it, you may do it differently) is to build a bit of the coaster, then have some twisted track up to some brakes and block brakes, after that, simply complete the coaster and add brakes and block brakes just before the station. Again this is how I would solve the 'block brake problem' . themeparkman: I quite sure that Xizor_Racer didn't hack the roto-drop/pirate ship ride, it is a ride created by the amazing earl. It's not what the scenery is, it's how you use the scenery...
  11. WOW, it looks awesome so far. The cs used makes the ride look even better than it already is. Will this end up as a full-scale park, filled up with just recreations?
  12. Completely agree (about the new area not having a western theme). The western theme was in my original plans, but after I built the station for the GCI, it changed to a 'retro/desert-with-brick-walls' theme . I still have to touch up the area, but I need a new theme , any suggestions are quite welcome. By the way, thanks for all your comments guys, they are greatly appreciated.
  13. Nothing special, just some tests with supports (STILL ). I was interested to discover this in the local newspaper... Completed station of the Runestone, the GCI in the 'western' area of the park. The bridge, heading into the 'western' area. Concept art for new supports of Goliath.
  14. I've got a big problem - I've forgotten how to merge coasters. Is there somewhere where I can find a good tutorial, I can remember parts of it, but not the whole thing. I remember reading one before, but I think the site that it is from is down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: It's okay, I found the site. This is the one, if anyone wanted to know: http://www.coasterforce.com/RCT_2_Hacking_and_Trainers_-_Track_Merging
  15. I happened to have had the same problem with Excitement Point, I just built a footpath through the spire and it went away, I'm not sure if it will work for you though.
  16. Yeah, I know, but I forgot to select the extra parts that I needed to 'complete' the supports, my mistake.
  17. As a little side-project to Sunset Hills I began work on a park. I bring you Indiana Islands Adventure Park. The entrance area. The islands, all except one (the island owned by the family) are shown here. Construction on the first coaster has begun.
  18. I finally begun working on the park today, I have touched up Goliath (still testing support work) and have added a large river. A few pics of a testing Goliath, as well as key elements of the track. Comment and/or criticise. (If you want to ) EDIT: I just found out this was in fact my 200th post (AWESOMENESS) A new element that I added (don't know what it is LOL) Interlocking corkscrews. Pics are fuzzy, mainly because of an 'inclosed' testing day. Here you can see a small part of the river, as well as a testing Goliath ride.
  19. Can I join if it's not too late, I don't care who I'm paired with.
  20. ^ Download this roller coaster (see link below) and you should get all the supports you need, also check out BRTeller's Epic Adventures park, it also has some really good supports. http://www.nedesigns.com/design/blue-thunder/ To answer your second question, no , there is a limit to the scenery that you can select, e.g. you can select up to 128 rides, 252 single or 1/4 tile scenery, but only one water type and entrance. Again, check out BRTeller's Epic Adventures, there you will get the 1/4 tile land scenery, so you can make underground stations without physically lowering or raising the actual ground. This is the link to BRTeller's Epic Adventures park, just click the download, and check it out. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41979&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=110
  21. ^ Aren't you glad I made this thread Following up on TLM's pic of the station, using 1/4 tile land scenery can make rides and landscaping look extremely realistic, just look at BRTeller's Cavern Blaster coaster.
  22. ^^In my latest park I used the support blocker in BRTeller's Epic Adventures, I think it's the same as the one that TLM's link goes to, but I'm not 100% sure. Just another couple of quick tips that I sometimes use: 1) Sometimes it helps to make a park plan, draw out where you are going to place rides, food courts etc. it doesn't always work, but when you're looking for inspiration it can trigger an idea for what to build next. 2) Always try to select some sort of water themeing, I didn't do this in Sunset Hills, and I am regretting that decision. A small water feature here and there can make big difference on the look and feel of your park, brightening it up a bit.
  23. Remember the RCT2 Tutorial Thread that TLM made, in it you spoke about having everyone post something that helps them the most in RCT2, that was what inspired me to make this thread.
  24. Well, recently (since I found the 'search' button ) I have noticed that many people have posted RCT2 help topics. So I decided to make a whole thread, where you can all ask your RCT2 queries. And (thanks DBru) you will also be able to post any suggestions that help you the most when playing RCT2, e.g. double paths, queue lines, themeing coasters etc. To start this thread off I have a couple of suggestions for building coasters. 1) When building Giga Coasters, sometimes the longer the coaster is, the more intensity it gains. Instead of just building HUGE drops, try to incorporate as much twisted track as possible into the ride, making drops more un-expected. 2) Try to avoid building high excitement coasters near the entrance of your park. This usually causes a lot of crouding, making your park very 'peep inefficient' (a little term a made up ), plus, with a ride having low capacity, the queue line fills up, and you end up with heaps of tired guests. My solution, build the coaster, but before using any themeing, test the ride to gain excitement rating, very high excitement rating is usually boaderline. 3) The best way to get lots of peeps into your park is to build the majority of your more exciting rides at the back of your park, this means that most of your guests will move towards the back, leaving plenty of space at the front for more peeps to come in.
