You see those green tents that the boy scouts are using. I have had to sleep in those during rain and shine for 4 years, once a month. They are by far the crappiest tents ever made. Great PTR by the way.

To tell you the truth, I ranked MF's drop above I305's before the trim. My favorite part of the ride isn't the drop so while I'm disappointed this new development isn't awful for my ranking of I305. While I think it may drop out of it's #1 position I see it holding at #2 or 3. My favorite part of the ride is easily the twisties and supposedly those have smoothed out quite nicely.

Yeah, the good thing is that it doesn't really sway.

^^^The lift has a massive bend in it. Not vertically as you might expect, but laterally. It's clearly visible when riding.

The poster on Ultimatecoasters took the picture That looks very nasty, could it be a flaw in the car design?

It's sort of hard to make a comparison between some of these parks because you're comparing seasonal and year round parks.

Multiple successful parks have started out with a new GCI and have done quite well. I think that will be your best bet; however,I would look into other wooden coaster manufacturers such as Gravity Group (along the lines of Ravine Flyer II) or possibly Intamin (Balder)if you are looking for a bit more of a thrill. They repainted the trains on Back lot at KD. The pictures don't do it justice, they are shiny, nice, and new looking. They don't look to bad at all.

Hey brad, I'm pretty sure I saw you in line for getting into the park.

I just got home from the park. Not only does this ride crap Millennium Force all over Cedar Point, it's in a league of its own. You cannot even compare the two rides because I305 just slaughters it. I absolutely love MF but the only thing that gives MF any advantage is it's slightly better drop. The rest of the ride blows it away. The lift is extremely fast, practically a launch. You drop into the great drop and go through the flat turn which, as everyone says, is super intense. You burst up into the sustained ejector airtime hill and drop and turn into a nice ejector bump and slam into a turn and through the "twistees". I got a bit of a neck chop on the twistees but it really didn't effect the experience at all. They throw you around so much and it really goes to show that the OTSR's were necessary. Then the trimed hill. It really slows you down but all it does is make the airtime hill sustained ejector air improving it. The next hill is less amazing on the airtime but still twisty and floater. Then another even more intense twistee and into the breaks with a cool overbanked turn. This is my #1 ride.

Pagel just confirmed that Intimidator 305 is the second fastest gravity coaster in the world behind Steel Dragon and ahead of Millennium Force.

I'm going to have to say Alpengeist followed up by Batman at SFGAdv, then Talon, then Volcano, then Great Bear, then Raptor, then Mind Eraser.

I really don't like the restraints on Storm Runner but I love them on Fahrenheit and the I305 straps look like Fahrenheit's so I'm happy. See you all on opening day.

Most of my fears about the take over by Blackstone have been wiped away by this great update. I'm so happy to see that not only are they purchasing new clydesdales but they're also expanding on the idea!
