  7. Well here I am back once again. I have taken some of the advice offered up from my Phoenix Park project and been working on Countrytime park. I am very early on in this one so hopefully I can incorporate everyone's thoguhts into this park on the fly. I have based this park off of a contest layout that "the ghost" had sent me. so here goes.......... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Countrytime Park A small town in Indiana has decided to be proactive in bringing jobs and economic developement to the area. With the backing of the state they have set out on what will be the largest Parks Dept. project in the history of the state, Countrytime Park. They are hoping the economic impact on the region will help to revive a five county area. Early constuction work has consisted of Guest Relations, Restroom facilities, Papa Leone's Pizza, and a First-Aid Station. The first rides to come online are a Scrambler, Twin Ferris Wheels, a Carousel and a kiddie Coaster. The major ride prject early on is the Wooden coaster "Rolling Thunder". Enjoy!!!! 8. Though I never visited myself, many of my friends went on a regular basis and had a great time. It was also a cheaper destination for the chior and band trips for those groups around my area. About two years ago I was getting lost trying to get to a Kroger meeting and wound up driving past the old park. You could still see a few rides from the road, sad really.
  9. Like I said, I have taken this one as far as I can. Just wanted to get it out here for the comments. I have a second park that I have been working on using some things that I have picked up in looking at everyone else's parks. It had only ever occured to me to accomplish the goals set into the game. having a way to set things up from scratch has been really cool and the more I work with it the more I learn....... They have been as much fun as working on the parks themselves. Believe me I will look at what everyone has suggested and learn from it. Thanks again for the comments.
  10. Ok, here's a shot of the new Woodie and the Steel coasters at Phoenix Park as well as some of the work that has gone into revitalizing "Old Towne" which will now be an area of the new park. The Woodie and Steel Coasters at Phoenix Park
  11. Hey Thanks for the input guys. I will post some more from this park. I have gone as far as I can on it. I didn't set things up to well to start, but that is part of the learning process. I have started doing more with the stations in my second park. My thought for the pirate ship was ind of a sunken thing...... I have defiantely been working and praticing on things and hopefully my skills will get better.
  12. Here is the Entrance area to the new Phoenix Park also the "Midway" area. I will just tease with the coasters for now. Enjoy! Area to be known as "The Midway" Shot of the entrance area to Phoenix Park,
  13. Ok, this was my first attempt at a custom senario park. I have played RCT for a good while and have done great with achieving the "goals" in the pre set senarios. I picked up RCT2 a while back and had been working on it when I came across the TPR forums. I habve been amazed at what you all have come up with with theming and designs. This park includes my first attemps at buildings other than the stalls and stands and ride entrances that are standard........ So now on with the park.... and be gentle Phoenix Park Old Towne park was once a thriving local park, but ownership changed hands and the new owners didn't have the resources they thought they would have. The local community bought the land as it ajoined land that was planned for an entertainment complex. Local leaders got in over thier heads with the planning and the cost estimates soon made the project a burden on the taxpayers. During this time the rides at Old Towne sat and continued to decay. Three years passed and an entertainment company was brought in to make the project happen. At this point a grassroots effort was underway to save the Old Towne park rides in hopes that this new company would incorpoate the rides into the new venue. A community wide naming contest was held for the project and the name that was chosen was "Phoenix Park"....... Old Towne rising once again....... Another shot of Old Towne Old Towne Park in a sad state of disrepair
  14. Ok..... WOW!!! I live in Indiana and have never heard of this place. I was looking at the website and noticed that Afterburner and Zyklon look an awful lot like the Screamin' Demon and Bavarian Beetle from KI. ...... Lot of white too..... Sad, I hate to see rides sit being unloved.
  15. Top Chef and Secret Life and Mike and Mike in the Morning (when I'm not at work) are the only shows that I purposly make sure I watch. Semi-Regular Daily Show Colbert Report (usually the next morning repeats) The Clone Wars
  16. TO is out , ok let's move on. We don't need two days of coverage. Must be a slow sports news week...... No college hoops or anything else going on....?????!!!!!!!????? Odds he ends up in Oalkand?
  17. Cam is back up. looks like the trains have all gone to bed though.
  18. no, sleep is highly over rated. Have you ever done all six Star Wars films in one sitting?
  19. Money Making Scheme.............................. Disney.................... No?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?
  20. how about GreenSnakeForestEater?
  21. Nope, I prefer Iced Tea........ Have you ever lined up for a midnight movie release?
  22. No........ Have you ever see a sunset in Hawaii?
  23. I've gotta agree with Gregg. We were in that boat in our hosehold last summer, so we packed up the kids and a cooler and headed to KI for a day of fun and sun. MY sister in law and daughter came along. We found reduced admissions, had a great time and spent less than $200 for the whole trip (gas included). If folks can get to a park within a couple of hours drive, I say they will go that route rather than the big week long trip to the beach or something.
  24. Yeah the TRansformers teaser was nice. And it must be my age, but the carrerbulider one was the most annoying commercial EVAR!!!!! If I never see it again it will be too soon.
