Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Is it just me or do some of the males in the video look overweight? Are they trying to be that realistic? -
Small parks like this need to do what they can to survive and I support it 100%. Like Robb, I'm not a marathon rider, but I really enjoyed being able to ride HellCat once when I was there a few weeks ago. I was there writing a travel freelance story. My wife and I were able to play three rounds of mini-golf, ride the log flume and HellCat. All for $20 (with media pass). Not bad! Timber Falls also has something that Mt. Olympus will never have - charm!

I've been to the Smokies many times in my life, but you always seem to find something that I always forget about. Keep up the great work. You'll never run out of things to report on. When something closes, something else opens in its place. -
I just got back from the Dells. Here are my thoughts. You can do Mt. Olympus in about three hours (generous) if you are only interested in the rides and coasters. As the day goes on, it gets busier. Go first thing in the day if you can. HellCat/Avalanche at Timber Falls is worth the $6 to ride it. Knucklehead's has a kiddie coaster credit. It costs $3 and is actually fun. GoGator is at Noah's Ark. Go check out the Kalahari Indoor Theme Park. No coaster credits, but a lot of fun. It has an indoor ropes course that was fun.

It was a lot of fun contacting the media to get them to come see TPR at Lake Winnie! Next is Big Mike's turn!
-
I posted this earlier in the thread. I was the one that made the media contacts for you guys. Also, make sure you don't miss the video on the Times Free Press Web site.

Dollywood is one of my favorite parks of all time. Pete does a wonderful job attracting the right people to promote the park - especially TPR.
-
I also forgot to mention it was on the FRONT PAGE of today's paper. The Front Page of The Chattanooga Times Free Press - TPR getting the love.

Here is a story from the Chattanooga Times Free Press posted to the Web site this morning from TPR's visit to Lake Winnie. Here is the link to the text of the story. tiny.cc/gT0lP The reporter got a few things wrong. First I didn't help organize...that was all Robb and Elissa. All I did was contact the media. Second, I think Robb has ridden more than just 300 coasters. Here is the online video. tiny.cc/4CqNt It shows how much fun everyone had!

Robb gave me the honor of contacting the local media on TPR's visit to Lake Winnie. I'll be posting links to videos and reports over the next couple of days. Here is one from our CBS affiliate in Chattanooga - WDEF. tinyurl.com/kvh43u It was great to see TPR members having so much fun at my home park! Thanks again for bringing them here, Robb.

We visited Wonder Works few weeks ago and took pictures all over the place. No one ever said anything to us. -

Erik, thanks for posting these reports. I am from Chattanooga and have been to most of these places. I agree with your opinion on all of them. Can't wait until you visit Wonder World....I think that is what it is called. -

What kind of PR guy do you have by making the demanding media wait for video? -
Chuck, you do trip reports like no other. THANK YOU!
