  1. I have never been to Japan so pardon if this is a stupid question. Is most signage in Japan in both English and Japanese? Is there a large enough population/tourist economy for them to put it in English, too? I find all of this fascinating. Thanks again for sharing, Robb.
  2. I read each one of them. It helps me catch some things I may have missed during the week.
  3. Agreed. I rode it once the year after it opened and it was enough for me. WAY to rough. I love Raven and I may have to say I enjoyed Legend about as much. Close call for me.
  4. Wheelie was over 30 years old and I'm sure had maintenance issues. This is an entirely new ride with little maintenance costs.
  5. I honestly wonder if making all of the announcements for the entire Six Flags chain is really the best idea. For those parks who get less, the local folks are going to come across as majorly ticked even if they get something the park really needs. Maybe start small and build up to the big announcements or just let the local PR folks determine the best time to make an announcement based on their local market.
  6. That stadium is a HUGE area for a Tilt a Whirl and Mega Fireball. Surely it is someplace else.
  7. Pretending that he's riding Skyrush. Judges? *ding* You are on the board.
  8. Judges? *buzz* I'm sorry. That answer is not acceptable.
  9. What is that guy in the back doing?
  10. It looks like everyone is having fun! There is one thing I don't get. The Jungle Racers attraction looks like a ton of fun but after riding it at Legoland Florida it seems more of a novelty and gets old after a while. Maybe I'm just missing something.
  11. I am so excited to be going to a conference in Louisville in late July. This is something I'll have to do at the end of the day. I have all the other credits but this one is worth admission I have a feeling.
  12. Agreed! Not addressing the situation only makes the situation worse in the general public in regards to aggravation, rumors getting out of hand, etc., Are we really surprised though? It isn't like I would call this park the most "professional" in the world.
  13. ^ I know it wasn't fair to compare it to something like Soarin' but UGH!!!! Curse of DarKastle (while wasn't on the same level as Spiderman) was still enjoyable.
  14. I hope to post my trip report this week after visiting last Friday. Thanks to Chuck for recommending some local eating establishments while I was in town for the week. A few quick notes/observations: BSW has got to be one of the best parks in the country to place flat rides/attractions that kids can ride while the adults take their turn on the thrill rides. I was floored by this. They are doing it right. Europe in the Air made me want to puke. I have NEVER gotten that motion sick on an attraction but that did it. The coaster collection is awesome. I agree with Chuck. The sausage sampler at Festhaus is worth every penny. I loved this park!
  15. My gift arrived about a week ago and I decided I couldn't wait until Christmas to open! I MUST EAT BEFORE SANTA EATS ME! Hello, happy box! What wonders do you hold? Oooooo.... I love to pop these things. Fancy gift wrap. I'm not worthy, Secret Santa! I love it though. I am sooooo excited! I will share more images from my adult coloring book very soon! I HAVE ALWAYS wanted one of these. Now I have to train my brain to tell time backwards. Darts are always fun! Thank you for my stash, Santa! I love it!
  16. Got mine over the weekend. I will open tomorrow and post pics. Thanks, Santa!
  17. Got mine out today. My elf also sent a special package to Elissa.
  18. Hmmmm....what could I share as likes? Well obviously I am a theme park geek but Disney nut even more. My tshirt size is XL. I love Big Bang Theory. To be honest, I am an easy guy that just likes to have fun. I like the odd. I will admit that. I haven't been to many parks outside the SE so the world is your oyster.
  19. FLORIDA! I haven't visiting SoCal and I would like to in the next few years, but nothing will be able to compare to the wonderment that is Central Florida in my book!
  20. How many DVDs or Blu-Rays do you purchase each year? About 10 DVDs. How many digital downloads do you purchase each year? Hardly any. I am old fashioned too in that I like being able to play my media on different devices.
  21. I am in again. It was so much fun last year!
  22. Elissa, I'm convinced that since you and Robb give people an outlet on theme parks, coasters, etc., everyone automatically thinks they are instant experts. I get annoyed with it pretty easily, so I can't imagine how you and Robb deal with it. And I am posting this claiming fully that I am a theme park enthusiast but do not in any way consider myself an expert.
  23. I'll be headed there on Friday for my wife's company picnic. My 5-year-old daughter is looking forward to this. As mentioned, this is a HUGE deal for local families as a couple of plans for a water park a few miles from Lake Winnie fell through. It always made sense to me for Lake Winnie to be the ones to actually pull it off.
  24. A summer without Big Mike hitting the theme parks across the country isn't a summer in the USA!!! Mike, why must you schedule things within a few days of missing me...AGAIN!?!?!
