  1. ^^ A TPR event and take over of Terminator is going to be fun enough that I know I won't need any other coaster open. Anything else the park throws in is Icing on the cake to me! I already thank Robb and MM for putting this together given how amazing WCB was this year. I have high hopes of a crazy fun day! I'd be even more thrilled if we got night time ERT with lights off on terminator.
  2. Just Registered! Please oh please let the next month go by fast!
  3. All this excitement is getting me way excited! I curse having to work all weekend, Ill be dreaming of Monday when it's my turn to join the resistance! Any one else planning on going Monday?
  4. Raves on Paradise Pier is clearly the major part of Phase 2
  5. While me and a friend were walking out to Paradise Pier at DCA a lady asked us if we knew where Zac Efron was. I looked at her funny and said "what?" And the she replied with "Well I saw the High School Musical thing going on." I guess the goth and the rocker are supposed to somehow be friends/know Zac Efron???
  6. Thats sad news, but I can understand its crunch time for them. None the less I'll be up there opening week to take a ride or two or three~
  7. ^ Does that mean any sort of prepublic opening campout/event is out of the question for us?
  8. I took a brief hop to the park today and Mickey's Fun Wheel is now open to the public for those of you who might be heading there this week.
  9. #76 is me Supershawn. Real name Shawn. And Big mike treated me awesome. I was lucky enough to ride Big Mike's (and also my) Fav. Coaster X2 in the front row with him! And also help him escape the confusing park to get back to his car. It was a pleasure talking with you Big Mike, do let me know when you are going to visit the northwest and I'll do my best to make some good suggestions of things to do and see.
  10. I don't think Ill be sleeping much, I'm way too excited! Still no sound of rain here in Hollywood. Here's hoping for the best! See ya'll in the morning!
  11. I'm interested in how the fire will interact with the trains traveling towards it. Since on X2 you are traveling away from the flames.
  12. Pony Express at knott's. It was a fun experience the first time, the second I was falling asleep on my pony.
  13. I feel so lucky I got my tickets when I did! This is my first WCB and my first TPR event. I'm so excited to meet everyone and have a great day at the park no matter what the weather is like!
  14. Any one else ever have the joy of a chocolate cake, with peanut butter frosting, and bacon bits through out it???
  15. Does this mean Xcelerator is a make believe coaster that I only dreamt I saw? And since its always closed it will always be imaginary?
  16. ^ Amen to the Schwarzkopf love! At one point in the day the brakes failed to catch the train and it almost got stuck in the loop. What a ride that would have been! At least you guys caught that sign... the only one I saw didn't have Silver Bullet listed. When we took the train ride round the park, the oh-so-happy lady said that as part of this Rehab on Xcellerator it would be getting a paint job. Not sure if there's truth behind that. Any one know anything beyond that?
  17. I hadn't been to Knott's since I was 8, I am now 22, so much has changed and been added, I thought I had much to look forward to... Driving up listening to Highway to Hell, only seemend appropriate given other TR I have read and the blah kind of day I was about to have. I had watched the park website making sure Ghostrider was the only coaster listed for rehab. Which it was up until yesterday morning when Xcelerator was added to that list. First strike of the day. It's listed to be in rehab till the end of March for now. We arrived purchased our tickets and waited inline surrounded by masses of elementary and jr high students there on Physics day field trips... The gates opened and this is where the park gets strike 2. Camp Snoopy and Ghost town where the only area's open until 11am. Thats fine except Ghost rider was closed. And Pony Express wasn't going to open until 11am either. And to top it off Silver Bullet was blocked off for the filming of a commercial! Which was probably planned quite some time in advanced, and had I known I would have opted to wait a day to go to the park. So everyone was either waiting for Sierra Sidewinder *running only 1 train* or the Log Flume. I was instantly irritated I was there so early, the only accessible coaster had a long line and basically no other rides where reachable except kiddie ones that no one wanted to ride. How ever we went straight to and got right on Sierra Sidewinder before the line was overflowing. I ended up riding it 4 times through out the day, I liked the ride I only wish the cars had spun more, if at all on some of my ride. Screamin' Swing had a good deal of $5 dollars for 2 riders before noon, so we hoped on. I had never been on one of these rides and didn't know what to expect, it packed a bit more of a punch then I expected. A swing on super steroids now gets my approval any day of the week. We killed time until the rest of the park was open and road Jaguar which was a bit rough but enjoyable. As well as Montezuma's Revenge. Then over to my worst fear... Boomerang. I'd never been on one, and was scared of what damage it might do to me. I rode in the back, and surprisingly it wasn't bad at all. Later in the day I rode in the front, and that was the mistake that practically killed me. I had a headache the rest of the day. Lesson learned. Making our way back to Pony Express I was excited to try out this style of coaster. As I got on my pony, I kept thinking this is awkward feeling. I never really felt securely locked in, especially on the first turn around where my body would feel like it was sliding right off the seat and out the side. I; like so many others, wish they had made it a bit longer, seeing as its over just as it starts. None the less it was fun and we rode it 5 times during the day. Killing time became a bit of a drag but at 5pm, Silver Bullet finally opened to the general public. I really enjoyed this more then I expected. It was an extremely smooth ride. The over banked turn was more fun then I had thought it would be, a real good lift out of the seat before diving down into the cobra roll. We were able to ride it twice in the hour it was open due to 1 train running, and basically everyone in the park running in line as soon as it became open to the public. I have to say the Silver Bullet crew was the only efficient crew paying attention and not goofing of or taking their sweet time with each train. Kudos to them. Silver Bullet is not my favorite inverted coaster, but it's still a good ride. In the end I got my credits; minus 2, however I'm not running to go back to Knotts any time soon to get them.
  18. I'm another victim of Goliaths Helix's. And sometimes Batman after the first loop if I've ridden too many times in a row.
  19. I spent at hour today trying to get tickets, the site was constantly full and experienced a lot of down time as well. By noon they were sold out. Way to go Disney with being prepared for a high amount of traffic on the web site. The Itineraries are viewable on the website just if your curious as to were all the events are going to be at and to get a hint of what they are doing.
  20. I feel like the TPR trips and Fuji-Q are destined to hate each other. Now my experience when i went many a year ago 2003 to be exact was outstanding. I went in early January, it was about 40 Degrees with snow on the ground, no one was at the park. I got 3 rides on Dodonpa, 5 on Fujiyama, all the other coasters at the time once, and Ice skated with friends for about 2 hours. ALl in all I had a blast with my day when I went, so I don't know if they've just let the park fall apart, or if its bad timing or what... But at least there's still that awsome view of Mt. Fuji right? Or did the park figure out how to ruin that as well?
  21. I have my guess, since I think that could be the kick off date of my 2009 Season as well. It kind of sounds like this is going to turn into some kind of event, party, or Bash. And what better to way to kick of my 2009 season then to meet the all inspiring Big Mike!!!!
  22. X2 for me. Its the only drop that has that "Oh *four letter word*" factor and feeling for me. *thus far*
  23. I'd have to go with the cages of death on White Canyon at Yomiuriland
  24. I was at the park on Turkey Day and had an interesting experience with X2. X2 had a 2 hour wait most the day, so we decided to wait until the end of the night to get a ride. at 7:30 we got in line after being told the ride had been down for about 30 minutes. by 8pm, they had it up and running again, and we had what should have been about a 20 minute wait... well.... the new computer systems were causing problems and by 8:45 the ride didn't want to work so we were told we were not going to be able to ride. Now here's where management comes in and says we can go down to guest relations for a comp of some sorts, or go ride Tatsu.... We went for the comp since we were tired and ready to go. We were lead down to the GR and for a comp they gave us a free day pass to the park. I thought that was a pretty groovy thing for them to pass out to everyone. Although our group all has seasons passes. But still. Also is there any word floating around if SFMM is going to put in some more flat rides to replace the ones they took out?
  25. Any one else find that this season was slightly on the disappointing side? I liked the finale with the vampire kids vs the goths, and a few select moments from other episodes, but I'm sad that this season seems to not be as strong as past ones.
