  1. Season Pass holders are also able to visit the park that day. Last year wasn't too bad. Although rather cold (which may have affected potential crowds), I was able to get some KK rides with about a 10 minute wait.
  2. Not anymore! Show's moving to L.A. for now.
  3. Does anyone know how strict they continue to be about the Miner Mike credit?
  4. Wonderful. Going to Atlanta next month, too.
  5. If it could be renewed online without having to "process" it things would be great!
  6. Thanks. I read somewhere about having to have an updated photo taken at the initial "processing" which obviously didn't occur when I renewed, so I was curious if that was just false information or if I would have trouble. Sounds like everything is ok for now. We'll see in March or April when I visit Knotts!
  7. Silverwood and Wild Waves will be one of my next trips to complete that entire corridor! Too much other stuff coming up in the Spring to worry about that for now.
  8. Tell me about it. I did Puyallup this year and got every credit in Oregon, Vancouver, and Washington except Wild Waves! (It was that ONE weekend they were closed in September!)
  9. I am not as concerned with the card not being renewed, but rather having to "process" it at Knott's since it will be my first official park visit for the year. If this was to assign Knott's as my home park, I'd be a bit upset since I would have to renew there next year. I don't know if what I did today was considered "processing" or if that occurs when the park opens in the spring and I enter the gate for the first time. If it's the latter, it's kind of craptacular since there are several CF properties which open in earlier climates before my "home park."
  10. Hi everyone, As most know, you won't receive a new Platinum Pass in 2010 for a renewal; rather they update your current card with your 2010 payment. I went to Dorney Park today to pay in person for my 2010 pass and I was told I didn't need to do anything else. I've also read that if you haven't been "processed," the first park you visit will become your "home park." So, did my "processing" take place today (I only paid a fee and they ran my card -- no photo) or will that take place at my first park visit? I asked specifically but was told "no, this is all you need to do." However, the person helping me also didn't know how to reenter my name or data, so I am a bit concerned with the answer I received. I am planning to visit Knotts long before Dorney opens this year, so I don't want to have any issues. I realize that this isn't the Cedar Fair administration website, but I was hoping someone here might know from experience. Thanks!
  11. Thanks. I've been to Disney and Epcot twice, but it's been a few years. Have the Space Mountain and Big Thunder credits. I thoroughly enjoy spending time exploring parks, especially the ones I've never been to...but I'm also fortunate to have a work related fully expense paid trip to Tampa and I would love to take advantage of hitting everything I can!
  12. Don't want to hijack your thread too much, because I'm interested too. I'm planning a large Florida coaster trip in March and I'm curious how feasible it's going to be to do the Orlando area coasters within 2 days? I would hope to get a park hopper pass for Disney and do all 3 in one day. Is this feasible? If I get WDW in one day, will I be able to do Universal and Sea World the next day? If I can do those large parks within 2 days, I would plan to hit the other 2 small parks early the next morning before heading down to Tampa.
  13. How are December crowds at SFMM? Thanks!
  14. Thanks! I did Scary Farm this year and got extremely lucky. I had done all 11(?) haunts in less than 2 hours, including multiple front seat rides on Ghostrider without getting up! I'm really interested in the idea of Merry Farm -- I was just hoping someone could give me some serious info on it. So thanks! Any more help is appreciated.
  15. Question for anyone who can help: I have never been to Knott's Merry Farm but will be in town in 2 weeks. 1. Is it anything special? 2. What are crowds like in December? Perhaps the weekend of December 11th? Friday night -- Saturday day -- Saturday night -- Sunday day -- Sunday night? Which is best? 3. I'm going to be fortunate enough (I think) to take advantage of their police and firefighter promotion (of which I am one) and I'm looking forward to free admission for me and a guest, even though I have my Platinum Pass. I'm also planning to do Castle and SFMM one of those days as well. If anyone has advice on crowds, and which days would be best, I'd be grateful! Any help is appreciated.
  16. I was there yesterday for the final public operating day. The place was packed. They were expecting 8,000-10,000 which for a park of its size is unreal. They were darn close when I left. The line in the morning was 600+ an hour before opening! Sorry to see another park go...
  17. If you're there for the open, get right to Bizarro for your ride (back seat!) you should have no trouble getting on everything else. From there, walk toward Mind Eraser and hit Catwoman's Whip on your way by. After Mind Eraser, Batman. After that, do Thunderbolt because it has low capacity. A tip for Pandemonium is to use the single rider line which will help you avoid about an hour line in general conditions. Getting on Flashback, Cyclone, and Great Chase after those shouldn't be bad at all.
  18. I've legally stolen numerous children.
  19. I was there on the 3rd. I would have liked to get some more rides on the Python but getting the credit was my biggest goal. I was told "waiting on parts which won't be in until at least late July" but I've also heard a rumor that they were retracking it. If "parts" = "wood" that might make sense. Either way, down for a while.
  20. I picked a busy weekend to visit, but the cost was only $6 a wristband I think. Got one ride on the Python (as far back as they would let me sit) and it was crowded. Cool place.
  21. Yes, the Sea Dragon is back up and running. I don't think you were trying to be mischievous, but your info was wrong. It is still down "long term." Took the detour to go ride it and was informed it will be at least till the end of this month.
  22. I can tell you that all SOB merchandise has been pulled from the KI stores as of this weekend. You can still find SOB stuff if it is packaged with other KI stuff, but no stand alone SOB stuff will be out.
  23. There is an ACE event at the Dells when you'll be there, so expect to see some coaster crowds.
  24. Has it been clarified how much it will cost to ride? (At Columbus) Is general admission still free + $6 for a ride wristband? I see that Coney is still a very reasonable $11.95 for a wristband. Any idea where discount coupons are and how much?
