  1. Though the posts talk about "magic technology" and reference Schlitterbahn, I still wouldn't quite call it a confirmation. We'll know soon enough. I'd be pretty happy to get that water coaster though.
  2. Good luck getting put on his insurance... Seriously though, what happens to her when the ride goes to the scrap yard? This will not end well.
  3. Okay people, I took the pics down. Sorry if I stole anybody's thunder. You'll just have to click the link to see them.
  4. At last, the fate of the red track is known.
  5. Just wondering if anyone here is participating in the Run Kings Island event. It looks like a scaled down version of Disney's Marathon Events. If so, I'd love to see a nice PTR on it. Wish I had learned about it sooner. I would have signed up. Maybe next year...
  6. I can only speak for Mamba on which I had a great time. That headchopper helix gets me evertime. I always find myself ducking on that last support! My only real complaint is that the train seats could use a little more padding. After 3 rides in a row, I felt like I had to "hover" so I didn't keep bumping my tailbone. But then again, I have no ass...
  7. Well done and you certainly do have more than a few HW exclusives in there. Very impressive. And I'll second that Lynn's Paradise Cafe is just insane...in a good way!
  8. I'd love it to be a Jintamin Jega Jite myself, but I'd bet the park would have some serious reservations about Intamin's reliability given Pilgrims Plunge's track record this year. Here's my guesses: Long Shots: Mega Lite, B&M (Invert), Sky-Ride, Another Full Sized Woodie. More Likely: Giant Wheel, Spinning Coaster, Mid Sized Kiddie Wooden Coaster, Water Coaster, Pirate Ship, Speed/Body slide complex for waterpark, Mine Train. Guaranteed: More Pepsi Oasis stands, Fully Paved Legend Parking Lot
  9. Nice report. Your captions are hilarious! ^ And FYI, that lady is Pat Koch, the owner of the park.
  10. In no way do I condone any kind of crime, but I thought it might be interesting to hear some tales of theft and thievery. Thief: As a kid, I would often swipe small candy items from the local convenient. Occasionally a pack of baseball cards. A few years ago there was a pair of sunglasses I liked at the grocery. They wanted $20 for them. I thought that was too much so instead I put them in my pocket and walked out with them. I can't really explain why I did it and still feel kinda bad about it. The ironic part is that they turned out to be kind of uncomfortable and I thought I looked dumb in them. Victim: When I was 12 my bike was stolen. This was a major event in my childhood. My bike (along with my NES) was my whole world. I can recall only a few other moments in my lifetime where I have been more upset. The silver lining is that we got an insurance check for it that covered the cost of a new Haro Sport. Old School BMXers will appreciate how awesome an upgrade that was. More recently, I had my Garmin Nuvi 350 stolen from my car. It was hidden away, but I left my doors unlocked and it was taken in the night. Apparently the thief was discriminating in his choices as he looked/rifled through all the glove boxes, cubbies, cds, etc, but all he took was the GPS. I contacted the cops and Garmin with the serial number but they both said I'm pretty much screwed. But I get the last laugh because in just a few months, the maps will be outdated. Outdated I tell you! Good luck getting to your correct destination in 2010 with 2009 maps! I've also been on both ends of the "infinite borrow" of books/movies/games/cds/etc with friends, but that's not quite in the same league. Let's hear your victim/thief stories.
  11. Way to bring reality back Adam. There go my B&M hopes. Still, that kind of money can build all kinds of awesome stuff. I can't wait to hear the plans.
  12. *Crosses Fingers* Custom B&M Invert please! (Will's mentioned he's a big fan of them several times in the past) Hell, I'll take a B&M anything! Has the red track been spoken for yet?
  13. Is this on purpose? While I'm hardly a GH freak, it's an awesome game that even non gamers eat up. If you have even a casual interest in music, you'll have a good time. My 65 year old non-gamer, non-musical mother was interested enough to give it a try. I'm not in the industry, but this video profiling a single day of the making of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance completely redefined my ideas of what designing games was like and definitely backs up what Robb said.
  14. Nice TR. And Spaced Invaders was terrible. It's one of only a handful of movies where I actually left the theater.
  15. Great Report! I didn't even know this place existed. I usually have to go to OKC once a year on business so you can just guess where I'm going to make a pit stop on my next visit...
  16. Loved this TR. Especially the arcade shots. They have some real classics in there...and a working 720 cabinet is near impossible to find! I've never been there and Hershey is definitely on my to do list. Would you say 3 days was too long, short or just right?

  18. These are great! I've never seen these "Hitler finds out about..." videos. As recommended, the Micheal Jackson is my favorite so far with EPCOT a close second.
  19. This report is simply amazing! Love that you gave your sponsor child the Royals hat. You might be 1000 miles away, but still gotta represent the hometown! I can't wait for more!
  20. Outstanding report! Can't wait for the rest. And Revolution is the only ride at HW I refuse to ride.
  21. ^^ Excellent guide. Though you really need to mention the Plymouth Rock Cafe in there. It's a toss up between that and Kringle's as the best place to eat. (Though I would send first-timers to Kringles first.) A shout-out to the fudge shop would also be great. But again, a spot-on analysis.
  22. And just FYI, the park is a good 30+ minutes from downtown StL. Double that if you hit the nasty rush hour traffic. And to whet your appetite: Here's a great St. Louis PTR!
