And for all you McDonald's freaks, check their website for goodness sake: http://www.mcdonalds.fr/ A Big Mac is a Big Mac...but when you say "a Big Mac", in French it's "un Big Mac". Or when you say "the Big Mac", that becomes "le Big Mac". -

Whose PSP is that ? Don't make all the Europeans jealous. And to all the "Balder ain't a woodie" peeps: a coaster with this design has more wood in it than something made by CCI, GCI, RCCA and all the older companies/designers... The reason it doesn't have "layers of wood" is because the track is lasercut out of wooden blocks. Very precise...and that's why it's so smooth. "Normal wooden track" can't be made out of blocks, you can't bend it. So they use fine layers instead. Finally...as always...fun entertaining trip reports ! Keep 'em coming ! -

Bandit is very rough indeed. But at the end of a day, preferably with a wet track, it can be fun nonetheless. Bermuda is very similar to the ride in Australia, but has more smoke and effects along the course...yet no "giant head" or near the final drop. And the general quality of the rides is twice as good in Australia...seems like an unlimited budget down under. Looking forward to a Phantasialand report. Very old & classic rides combined with ultramodern exclusive stuff. No "never-in-America" things though...maybe the "Michael Jackson Thrill Ride" name tag. Hehe... 8) -

Dragster is a coaster...it doesn't have an engine, or a chain, when it goes up the "tower" does it ? -

If it's totally, or mostly a ride on rails and goes up at least once without the aid of a lifthill or an engine...then it's a coaster. -

That wave swinger is actually 280ft. high (tower)...with the seats reaching 230ft. Speed nearly 45 mph. And a fun fact: Hansa-Park originally opened as the first "outside-of-Denmark" Legoland in 1973. Quite a failure however and the park closed only a few seasons later. It was rethemed, renamed to Hansaland in 1977...then Hansa-Park in 1987. Lego had more luck in 1996, 1999 and 2002 with the opening of parks in London, California and a second attempt in Germany. -

Ignore him. Colossos and Balder actually have more wood than a comparable ride by any other company. Surveys in parks have shown that guests like to have a smooth ride, both wood or steel. And parks want their rides to be smooth too, as well as safe and with low maintenance costs. Stengel didn't design Colossos to annoy a small percentage of "rough woodie lovers". That says more about the Dutch. :o -

Try looking at other tracks as well...and try to modify them. Good way to learn. -
It's part of the theme...African killer bees.

Walibi -> Six Flags -> Walibi Six Flags improved the park ALOT though. It isn't...only Pizza Hut and Quick. 8) European tripreports are always good on an American forum. 8)

Mission accomplished everyone. Good work!

There's a Pizza Hut nearby. And a Quick, which is the Belgian equivalent of McDonalds. (http://www.quick-restaurants.com)

Danish Coaster Enthusiasts Please Help
BDG replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you can get a car with GPS navigation, it shouldn't be a problem. Denmark is a safe country. Oh, and you have to drive with the car (head/tail)lights on...24/7. But I'm sure there are busses to the parks. It's a very popular city, tourism is important. There's also a subway if I'm not mistaken. -

All new consoles can be put horizontally or vertically. Less than $300 ? Why don't you ask them to give it for free...these new consoles have more power than a $3000 PC out there. And the price will drop after a year. Games for consoles are already $75 here in Belgium. Expensive country. -

But with all those retrogames, it should be named Evolution instead of Revolution. So far, nothing that made me go "wow, I want this" contrary to the huge improvement in physics & graphics and the total multimedia-package of the xbox360 and ps3. Still waiting for information about the Revolution controllers though... There should be an E4. Electronic Entertainment Expo Europe. 8) We already have the HUGE CeBIT which focusses on electronics, gadgets...in general: hardware. But a big software/games exhibit is missing. -
