I am. Kind of... I still have 4 buildings to get (hopefully getting one of those tonight) and have now banked over a million dollars. Also picked up 120 doughnuts (so far) in this cash out of coins. I won't be impatient any more and waste them on getting buildings build NOW! Looking forward to what they may add, evn if it isn't much. I plan on redesigning my Springfield and that will take a little time. The ultimate would be Krustyland and the Tooth Chipper!

If you have 100 friends (w/Christmas decorations) plus the decorations you already have - you will hit that 900 by Thursday.

I have 10 deer randomly placed next to my prison. I'll probably make a gated park out of it soon. I'm building my town hall now, so I'll be redoing my whole city soon. I'm pretty sure they have to be active to get the bonus.

If you'd like to have SLH, by all means do it. It's just one of those fun additions. But, if you need doughnuts and/or $$$, then go for the stockings. As far as I can tell, you get either 1, 2, or 3 doughnuts or a reindeer for each stocking.

I've picked up 86 doughnuts so far, and 20 reindeer. (4100+ doughnuts) The reindeer can be sold for $500 each!! But I'm going to keep 10 of them, as it would add a total of 5% to all jobs. (Now that I think about it, keeping 20 wouldn't be a bad idea.)

I just checked, I'm getting $54 for every friend visited. So that's $5400/day.

I don't know if it's really a trick, but just harvesting the money all the times that you can. (Granted I have no life and I enjoy this for now, so I dedicate a lot of time to it.) If you're given a task like if Apu has to work an 8 hour shift, then make ALL your other characters do something for 8 hours. Work Cleteus's farm the same way. OR - give them smaller time tasks, like a 4 hr one, and harvest it twice (percentage wise it's more money) in that 8 hr timeframe. Collect all your shops and houses and stuff, whenever you get the chance. At home, I play on my iPad as it's easier. I collect my brown house "ghetto farm" quite often. Yeah, it's only a couple of hundred $$, but it adds up. I think when I visit "friends" I get $36 for each friend visited (plus the now useless coins). That right there is $3600/day. (The added $11 comes from the bonus stuff that adds to percentages of whatever you harvest.) The other thing is, before I go to bed (or whenever I decide my last log-on for the night is) I set all my characters to do tasks that will end before the next time I log-on. Example: My last daily sessions are around 8-9pm, so I set all characters to do 8hr tasks, so when I wake up at 5am, I get craploads of $$ when I harvest everything. Joey (Ray) mentioned a couple of times that he was at one million dollars, is that the cap?? I went over 800k this morning, and spent over 300k on new land, leaving me at 501k, and right now I'm at 549k, so I've done 48K today alone. (Like I said earlier, I have NO life) The more of the trees, benches and other crap that adds to percentage, does help. IIRC, the "Springfield" sign alone added 4% to everything. Hope that helps.

Ditto. As well as shrubs, trees and other crap. I'm actually going to redo the layout of my whole city, something similar to a Simpsons PS2 game I used to play. Still waiting to get the quest for the Town Hall before I start that. Currently building the Retirement Home. Oh, and went over 4000 coins this morning. (And to think I was worried about getting enough to get SLH in the time frame they first announced - Jan. 3)

Yeah. I actually bought that second stupid funzo because there's nothing else left to buy.

Just wondering - does anyone else have ideas for characters/landmarks they'd like to see in future updates?? For example: Carl Lenny Mr. Smithers Krustyland Tooth Chipper!! I understand that there are probably heavy liscensing issues with having guest stars that have made appearances (Robb can probably verify that). Anyway, what other things would you like to see in future updates??

Along this line of thinking- For those that were playing during the Halloween stuff, didn't you have to acquire candies to get those extra goodies? If so, what happened to your leftover candies when the Christmas update happened? I'm just wondering because I have over 1100 coins and was wondering what happens to them in the next update - like, do they rollover? I really don't want to buy the second funzo, just on principle. (HATE that stupid thing!!) wonder if I can store it?

I just got the update about 15 minutes ago. When I did, my Moe's was completed (getting Moe and Marge), so I sent everybody on tasks that popped up: marge, Barney, Homer, Duffman, and Cletes. Seemed like a lot of tasks, all were either 8 or 12 hrs. I did notice the Barney difference, but that was it.

^^ like E said, it's all timing and availability of characters. I just hit level 21, (due to having a crapload of "friends" that I don't know), have 1951 Santa coins, and over $450k. Yet, there are 14 building available to me (including the town hall, the church and Moe's), BUT, by quest only. I should have santa's little helper pretty soon though.

Thanks Hanno... and oh crap. That means 2250 coins minimum to get SLH. I only have 622 right now, and with all these EA meltdowns - Jan 3 is coming way too fast!!

I've been wondering if anybody knows this - I really want Santa's Little Helper. Do I have to get those damn funzo things first?? I mean, one is 50 donuts, the other 2 are craploads of coins. I want SLH, but no damn funzos. Is that possible??

^Yeah. Not letting me in the last 20 minutes. They said that there would be an update today (according to their FB page). BUT... I did get an 80+ mb update yesterday about 3pm. So I figured that's what they were talking about. I'm really not afraid of the random people, as there appears to be NO OTHER possible interaction.

Ditto. One week. Great. AND.... these dumb Christmas challenges. Eats up all your coins!! I want to get Santa's Little Helper, but to get there is going to cost a crapload of coins. I've maxed out at 100 friends. People I personally know from here, then filled from the "Simpson's Tapped Out" FB page by people at level 20 or higher bragging that they have Christmas lights. So at least I have a chance to max out daily on coins.

I'm assuming that this will be made for the PC. I have moved on to Mac (though I still have a PC desktop and laptop - which I never use). So my question is: Will this be available for Mac OSX??

Yeah. I just now found that out. Bummer. Now my town looks like slums. But, I'm going to leave them up for now. They generate lots of xp and $, if I can harvest all the time. I can live with that for now.
