Slacking

Thurs. night was my final night. But, I found Home for the Holidays to be the house that improved the least as the event went on. I loved it at the beginning of the event, but it got worse as the event went on.

Colin, have you ever done Dinosaur World? I had free tickets a couple years back, and it is definitely cheesetastic, took me like 30 minutes to see it all. Not worth full price admission, but it is cheesy-fun enough to do it once.

Saw a TPR shirt tonight while working. Wanted to make a comment in character but by the time I realized it was a TPR shirt, it was too late.

That stinks! I got punched in the face last Thursday. And hosts are getting on my nerves. I have one that comes by like once a night and points out easy scares coming up, and another is fascinated by my scare and hangs out for a couple minutes at a time and watches my scare.

True, but the walls, the paintings, the costumes...I've been to several 3D houses at HHN in prior years, but this is the closest its come to HOS's 3D house. Ready for work tomorrow? I'm NOT! I get so TIRED doing my scare...I'm usually a zombie at work the next day. I'm not sure I am either, lol. My scare is also very exhausting. Plus, my hand is sore and kinda hurts to close from gripping my chainsaw all night long.

3D houses aren't that uncommon, so I wouldn't consider that ripping off. But Vampyr? Yeah, pretty blatant. I guess for a Saturday it was a bit slower than others, but I really didn't feel it until the final shift or two. Homer, you going to HOS this weekend?

Sundays are usually not packed. Saturday's are definitely the busiest, followed the Fridays, and then Thursdays and Sundays are usually the slowest. And this past saturday (1st post-Freaky Preview weekend) usually seems to be the slowest Sat. of the event. But yeah, it is definitely best to get there early. I remember when I attended my first HOS in 2003, it was a Thursday, and I was overwhelmed by how busy the parking lot and front gates were (I arrived around opening). It took me awhile to get in the park, but once I did, I was shocked by how empty the park was.

Yay Club Muse! BTW, I did radiation last night (crazy night last night), and I actually liked it much more than previous 3D houses. It was pretty fun! ZooBoo is cool, they have a couple fairly large houses and a couple smaller houses.

It's a Thursday, shouldn't be busy.

The 21st and the 28th are the Sundays this year (besides last Sunday.)

I don't think that 10/7 is an event night this year.

Sorry to hear that you were fairly disappointed by the evening. Did you experience any lack of scareactors in After Hours? I'm pretty sure it was fully staffed that night.

For me, Dead Silence = beautiful house with cool effects, but absolutely no scares.

I'm such a haunt freak, that I jumped at the chance to see the houses on Thursday night. The new ones are good, and have potential to possibly be great. I'll pitch in more once more people have seen them. Of course, I'm partial to AH. As for ZooBoo, it's great, but I'm probably not gonig to go this year due to not much having been changed.

The Thing house pretty cool, my 3rd favorite of the night. The sets were neat, and the actors were totally into it. could have used a few more scares, but I'm sure they will improve on that once the event kicks into full gear. The puppets were quite cool too.

Do they do streets during the Employee Preview normally? Since I've never been an employee, I have no idea. Yeah they do, it was a dress rehearsal for everyone. But, the streets were very sparse, here is what I saw: NY- a couple scareactors roaming, some on bicycles not really interacting, and one in a bumper car type vehicle. Underwhelming for such a large area. Hollywood- Granted, I did not see this, but supposedly they had motorcycles here. San Francisco- Chainsaw Drill Team Central Park area- an actual carnival themed scarezone. About on par with last year's Harvest of the Souls, maybe a bit weaker. That was all I observed.

Went to Employee Preview last night. Overall the houses were quite good, but the streets were barren and lacking. Saw no shows, but hit all 8 houses. Nightmare on Elm Street is amazing. Awesome theme, sets, and cast. In the second half, the cast was amazing. Psychoscarepy was amazing too. Fun theme, and the cast was awesome. Vampyr was boring. The first scene pretty much looked like Club Muse on a higher budget. Sure the women were hot, but I want more scaring and less dancing. Huge disappointment. Dead Silence was a disappointment. I am an easy scare and was able to walk through w/o even flinching. It was sad. Cool visuals and effects, but I'm sorry, the cast and their scares are what make the house. All the houses have potential, and I am looking foward to see how they improve by the end of the month.

I did ZooBoo last year, and I was pleasantly surprised! It was quite fun and had some good scares.

I hate trams with a passion, so I usually walk. I haven't heard about that. I would love to see the house, but I know in the past we haven't walked through other houses (besides our own), so I'm not sure whats up.

Yeah, tonight. I'm Shift 2 this year. I hate the garage, I normally just head straight to Tree Tops, its far but no hassle.

They should just make one of the nurses next year's icon. Imagine the billboards.......... (or the ads, or the entrance of the park)

Hey, I chimed in! Definitely ready for the event to begin, I'm getting restless! Oh, they need to get rid of Fiends! How long has that show been going on? I know, I know, everyone loves the hot nurses, but can't they just use them for a new show?

I'll probably be going to HHN a couple of the nights where HOS is dark.
