  1. And not use emoticons to show any kind of expression?
  2. That makes me want to go to CP right now! Now StR will be just a secondary visit.
  3. Some of those last shots look computer generated; this ride looks amazing!
  4. I got that awesome Gadget/RR Intamin Giant Drop ride, but I forgot which folder to put it in. Where do I put it, and which specific item(s) do I put in? Here's a link to the download website, so you can see what files it contains (and how freakin' awesome it is!). Edit: Fixed the problem.
  5. Sadly I don't think SF will try to change the 'ununiquity' of their rides, because quite a few of those cookie cutter rides are major reasons SF has the Justic League and Looney Toons sponsorships. I do agree that parks need more thrill rides and not as many new waterslides (except for parks where the waterpark needs expansion and has plenty of room for so). With this recent halt in operaton of SFKK, SF should take action to send those newly avaliable rides to parks that need them.
  6. I pray to God that they begin improving their parks now that they're out of half their original debt, even if the changes are minor.
  7. ^Wow, that looks MUCH better. I don't have cropping skills like that, just BatchPhoto.
  8. You're ok, just as long as you aren't linking to your own profile or blog on another website to TPR.
  9. ^^I just got rid of a few, I hope it looks better. ^The Bite is definitely an event that's worth visiting. Next time you're in around the time of the event, you should stop by and check it out, even though Fun Forest won't be there anymore.
  10. I agree with both of you. Sure, we're a community of enthusiasts, and it can normally be expected of some of us to 'rumor' a little bit, but to make judgements, assumptions, and blames, especially in light of an accident (big or small), is not acceptable.
  11. Part 2 'Member that one time when 'Frankfurter' joined the name of the 'Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys' forum for a while? Walking past all kinds of vendor stands, you abruptly run into these kiddie rides..... ...that are right the heck at the feet of the Space Needle! (you get this view if you look up from around the kiddie rides) How many Jeff Johnson Credits can you spot here? Heck, even Key Area may count as one because of the Zamboni used to clean it when it's ice! The Dodgems. Century Wheel.... I've always wondered what this little deck is for..... After passing through the kiddie credits, you reach this place. (I swore that there used to be a Turbo Force here a few years ago) Windstorm is pretty much a dirtier, older version of Hurricane at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Are these coasters just popular on the West Coast? Wild River, the Log Flume ride. SKLOOOSH!! (as Robb would say) For you lift-motor enthusiasts out there. Little flat stretch of track. High-speed bend. Do I see somebody trying to take a POV? This par's intense.... Another POV taker! Come give me the camera so I can take some close up pictu...... No, don't take a picture of me! I'll look like an idiot! Indeed, I do actually approve..... but now I'll have to go to California in order to ride it again! NOTED! They did put quite a few supports on this ride. Curvature..... Somewhat sexy curvature.... Z00M! We see you, Blue train! Why aren't you running today? More lifty stuff. Rules. More rules + ...... Ummm..... Foot? Looking up the Red train's skirt. It's getting ready to get to the part with the 'near inversion'. NOTED! Obligatory Reality Check. In this TR, it's the Space Needle (once again). This looks like the same kind of wheel that was on an old Mazda RX-7. Lift-hill-shot. Bolt Ultra-Close-Up! Lift-hill-shot + Train Gee, that chick has it easy! 2 buttons! Force-absorbing bumper. Couplings shot. "The credit that goes 50 mph, even though it's about as big as me!" Galleon, a Pirate Ship that actually has a bit of good airtime in the very back. Musik Express, playing everything from prehistoric times to today's hottest hits! Well, now that we're out of creditland..... ....I guess we're done. So, until next time, look for random pigeons on the streets of Seattle! Thank's for reading!
  12. I could go on all day about the things most people would probably think about doing when they visit Seattle. But here's one thing they might not think about doing; something that only occurs during the summer, something that's very..... tasty: the Bite of Seattle. For a long time, it's remained one of the largest 'showcasing' events in the state. Reminiscent to the classic street fair, the Bite Seattle offers guests a chance to sample food, trinkets, business offers, and other things while walking peacefully down the street. Since Seattle is a pretty darn big city, however, it would be incredibly inconvenient to hold a 'street fair' in the streets, especially one of this magnitude. Instead, it is held in Seattle Center, Seattle's equivalent to Central Park or Lincoln Park. Among the well-know attractions to visit in Seattle Center are the Space Needle, the Seattle Science Center, and the Fountain. One lesser known attraction (that is probably only known on this website) is Fun Forest, a small amusement park located in the Center. It contains a few small flat rides, a roller coaster called Windstorm (just like Hurricane at the Santa Cruz boardwalk), and a log flume, among other small rides. Seattle decided last year to get rid of Fun Forest because it wanted to add a different kind of attraction to the area. However, it didn't leave (in fact, it's still there right now, though not really open) before I got a chance to check it out one last time during the 2009 Bite of Seattle last July. This would be a good picture of Mt. Raineer.... if only it didn't have the date stamp on it. Same here... The only thing people not from Washington seem to know about or recognize in Seattle. Would Elissa also like this zoo? We see you hiding, Space Needle! Getting ready to walk under the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Building, steel, streetlight, and cars. Sculpturing. Balls of steel? No, balls of concrete! It was incredibly crowded today! My mom's favorite. She gets it whenever we're at a fair or theme park. Can you tell she's an Iowan? The Science Center Arches 'through the trees'. The Needle again. It was, and always has been, very photogenic. California Pizza Kitchen had a booth at the Bite this year, unlike year's past. Based on this pizza, I wish there were a few more CPK restaurants around here. Jones Soda, an unusual Seattle company that produces all kinds of flavors of soft drinks. Most are pretty unusual, but they do have the necessary 'Cola' flavor for people like me. They also had this stuff, which I don't really remember very well.... They had a lot of concerts placed throughout the Bite. The Fountain, very busy today since it was not only the Bite but also very warm. Panda Express also had a booth this year. POUND IT, Panda Express Bear! I'd also pound the guys with the awesome 'Go Orange!' T-shirts, but they're too busy preparing awesome food. It can't be.... Huckleberry Popcorn? At first we were hesitant, but we tried it, and we loved it! I'd totally recommend it to someone who wants to try something different. For TPR's Australian friends. Want to keep your chair from being too hot when you sit in it for a long time, and need a little back support? This thing'll help you. Dingleberry? See, this place IS full of things you've never heard of before. "I see a lot of green here, and I even see some green hair!" "Intiman? Intamin? Close enough." The common 'violin player trying to earn money for more lessons', today in duet form. "Does this dress make my head look small?" Yes, they even have colorful stuffed gorillas and snakes! NOTED! I did this at the Puyallup Fair last year, it's pretty interesting. Certainly works, my body felt cleansed after it. My dad really liked the Beef & Chees Piroshky served here. Mmmm..... Russian. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dippin' Dots..... = Epic Win!! Is that a Ferris Wheel? "Why yes, I do believe it is!" Part 2 to come..... well, immediatly! Thanks for reading!
  13. The quirky yet awesome culture of Japan seems to have an effect on their theme parks..... In a good way.
  14. Of the ones listed, I only went to DL and DCA. But I sure wish I could've gone to at least half of those others ones, because they're kick- parks!
  15. I'm glad nobody was hurt, but I hope this accident doesn't affect the airtime, speed, or general awesomeness of this coaster, or if I'll be able to ride it or not in the near future. Patrick "I finally get the chance to go to Europe, and NOW Expedition Ge-Force has an accident?!? " Carnahan
  16. I like the look of this park. It's got a great selection of rides, ranging from family to high thrill. I wouldn't mind checking this place out, so long as I can learn Greek easily! I have one question: was the Turbo Force/Spin Doctor upcharge or was it free?
  17. Sky Mountain would work if Cedar Fair bought out Disneyland and renamed Matterhorn.
  18. It was THAT rough?!?!? Jesus, now I'm really glad there is going to be something done about it! At the most, I'd hope to expect something on the same lines as the Texas Giant refurb. At the minimum, I'd hope that the track and trains were fixed to ensure that it was *NOT* blood-vessel-bursting rough.
  19. I recieved an unexpected Wild Waves Season Pass today. It has the same picture from my Pass last year, but the scheme is different (better, IMO). But we have to pay $69.99 to activate it... Still better than the regular $89.99 price.
  20. Also a missed credit for me, but really, was it that much of a loss? I've been questioning how long this would stay after the loop was removed because it didn't seem like something worth keeping, and I'm actually a little glad that it's been put out of its misery. I hope that Kings Island replaces it with a good GCI or something. Patrick "Granson of Beast??? Let the speculation begin!" Carnahan
  21. 4 words: German Parks Are Awesome! I know there's the nude women and awesome coasters and beer and pretzels, but there's a lot of other cool stuff I didn't realize was there, like great themeing, boat jump rides, and Sling Shot/Turbo Force rides that aren't upcharge there but would be upcharge here in America. Thanks for sharing, all these awesome TRs are making me even more exited to go to Europe!
  22. Ahhh.... Another beautiful weekend in Washington, and 3 weeks 'till Bay Area Bash!
  23. Great TR so far! That snackbox is actually pretty good, compared to most of the snacks I've had in the past on US flights. Dubai looks awesome, I agree with everybody who says it's amazing and unreal! My mom and dad lived an Bahrain for a while, but it was before any of the cool stuff was built. I'll be a plane flight away from it all soon enough, though, it would definitely be cool to check out!
  24. This is a great idea! I own a PS3, and our family will probably get an HD TV in Italy, so I think the Roller Coasters in the RAW series on Blu-Ray would work great for me. I don't own any of the RAW DVDs, so I can probably enjoy them better if I get them in Blu-Ray instead. Patrick "I'm gald I may be able to watch coaster porn in awesome HD quality" Carnahan
