  1. Rumor is survey areas have been marked for the parks supposed new coaster next year. Speculation leans towards a Mack Spinner which I am not opposed too.
  2. Wow this coaster is going to be extremely disorienting, but extremely awesome at the same time.
  3. I've never been on a coaster with restraints like this, but I will say they cannot be worse than Thunderbolt at Luna Park's restraints.
  4. Im curious to see the theming they add around the ride/station. Busch tends to never disappoint in that area, maybe they will add other elements to ride to give it a twist of sorts.
  5. No OSTR's is music to my ears, this thing is going to be insane.
  6. I will be doing everything in my power to get out there this summer and ride this thing. I said it before and I'll say it again, sleeper ride 2015.
  7. This coaster has me really excited. It looks like a short, intense and action packed layout.
  8. I'm disappointed you haven't come up with a trendy new nickname for this coaster yet Robb. I need a trendy name for it.
  9. Wow impressive pictures. That inversion into the helix is going to be so intense. I'm excited for this coaster I hope I can get out there this season.
  10. This is definitely a front runner for best new coaster of 2015. It looks better and better every update.
  11. I'm looking to plan a trip with some friends once the park opens. I haven't been there in 11 years so it has been awhile, do they offer 2 day tickets or twilight tickets at the park?
  12. Hey also since they decided to give a freaking carnival flat, if the ride ever needs to change location they can just fold it up and move it.
  13. I think it's because we've heard it over and over and over and over again from selfish coaster geeks that Cheetah Hunt wasn't what THEY wanted. But seeing it have so many supporters is a nice change. Not me. I was actually VERY happy when Busch didn't build a "Maverick Killer." They already had three VERY good 54 inch height requirement rides, two nice 42" rides, a kiddie coaster and really nothing of quality for the middle ground. Cheetah Hunt was PERFECT. And I personally love it as I feel it rounds out their coaster collection and brings a near-perfect balance to their selection of coasters. And removing Gwazi will actually help IMPROVE the overall quality of the rides there. And just like with Cheetah Hunt, I actually hope that the park replaces it with another 42" or 48" coaster that is accessible to younger ages because I feel that is what the park needs. I refer to Cheetah Hunt as "Florida's California Screamin'" (and I love that ride, too!) It's long, it launches, it has one inversion, has something for everyone, and all riders gets off smiling other than grumpy coaster geeks, and it's overall just a kick-ass ride every time I go on it! BGT doesn't need a Maverick-Killer, it doesn't need a hyper coaster, it needs something for everyone, and THEN I feel they can build another "big ride." Maverick was the perfect ride for Cedar Point, and Cheetah Hunt is the same for BGT. And I love them both equally for different reasons.
  14. What theming? The abandoned and rusting Skyway towers nearby?
  15. What theming? The abandoned and rusting Skyway towers nearby?
  16. This. For what Cheetah Hunt was supposed to be it's a freakin Homerun.
  17. Cannibal - Lagoon Wicked Cyclone - SFNE ThunderBird - Holiday World I'm expecting big things from these coasters.
  18. ^ Tremendous pictures, thank you for those. So a few things I can take away from these photos: 1.) The ride is absolutely massive. With the other installment's of this clone the ride is in an open area. With the structure being ride next to Apollo's Chariot you really get to see how large it is. 2.) I'm a fan of the color scheme 3.) The ride looks really good with where its location is in the park. I was skeptical at first but I think it fits right in.
  19. On facebook Robb said its going to be a petting zoo You're wrong and so is he. This is clearly a launched petting zoo.
  20. I rode it last year, it certainly wasn't a bad coaster but it certainly wasn't a memorable one. It's a shame that this coaster never had Millennium Flyers from the beginning. It possibly could have been a whole different coaster if the PTC's didn't destroying the track and structure.
  21. By sitting there management probably means removing it very little at a time until the have the finances to do a large deconstruction. I hope in the future they decide to put an ass-kicking mega-lite or RMC there.
  22. That lift is massive. I feel more and more excited for this ride with every new piece of track being installed. This thing will literally dwarf every coaster out there it seems.
  23. Any word or news on Impulse? I'm curious about this project. It isn't getting as much publicity as I thought it would.
  24. I was actually at a water park one time and there were park employees with a radar gun clocking how fast people were coming down a couple of the body slides. Having worked at SFDK, I have been operating rides where this was going on. This was most commonly done on the Go Karts, but I have personally seen the results of more than one coaster. V2 and Kong both travel significantly slower than advertised, though I don't recall what their exact speeds. After its mishap atop tower 1, Superman now runs closer to 69-70mph, though it's still advertised as topping at 62 mph. That's all I know, but I'm sure the others are a bit off too. Anyways, forgive me if this was already mentioned, but isn't there a myth that B:TR at GADV is haunted? You're thinking of the defunct Chiller coaster at Great Adventure. It never was running due to it being cursed. It was cursed by the souls of those who died in the Haunted Castle fire in 1984.
