  1. Anybody know what day they plan on opening Phobia?
  2. The Golden Kingdom when it opened was as the kid would say, "On Fleek."
  3. I don't think its a question of pride LOL. They made a big investment and had to market it. I mean that was its opening year, they had to be at least a tiny bit proud.
  4. Yes definitely, these rides age better at smaller parks where they can receive the attention they need. And in reference to those commercials, it was crazy that they were proud of Viper at one point.
  5. Hersheypark sure is into rides related to weather: Storm Runner, Fahrenheit, Lightning Racer. I heard the next coaster addition is going to be named: "Raining Sideways."
  6. Yes, thank god that never came to Fruition.
  7. According to rumors, the idea is being somewhat repurposed as a Donkey Kong mine cart attraction as USF. Very unlikely to be wooden though. We can only hope it is an RMC
  8. SFStL has a really pretty one we could send your way! Seeing how Six Flags has treated traditional woodies in the past, I'll take a hard pass on that.
  9. Yes but the coasters name is Diablo and not "The Devil". This is Six Flags they recycle names all the time. We have had numerous Batman coasters at one point. El Diablo being there would not deter them from using that name.
  10. If they go the "Jersey" route, I think we can all agree Jersey Devil sounds best.
  11. Take it with a grain of salt, but it is "Six Flags" news. Six Flags filed for the name "Titan" today.
  12. The new trains look fresh but he buzzbars being removed is a major bummer.
  13. Great story! I really loved that coaster too and to me it was iconic. A classic that dominated the park's skyline. It was so much better than Green Lantern (although I did like that one when it was still Chang back at SFKK). I totally agree....ever since they took it down I feel like the coaster lineup took a hit since pretty much every other large steel coaster is B&M (except Ka but that's over in 10 seconds). To me the B&Ms all kind of "feel" the same and GASM was a completely different animal. On paper we have one of the best lineups around and I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but the removal of GASM has always bothered me.
  14. Holy crap, this is one of the best looking coasters out there.
  15. Its looking reall awesome. I hope this pushes Morey's to add a coaster sooner than later now.
  16. I'm simply blown away. The theming and detail alone.
  17. Judging from the video I don't think it has the speed that Skyrush has, but I think thats due to the fact of the designers trying to create hangtime during the inversions (Kind of like you're on a plane. Get it? "Flying Aces").
  18. *double post* *Jumps off bridge*
  19. I never felt Skyrush looked underwhelming at all at first glance. Those of us who have been on Mega-Lites and other smaller Intamin rides know what to expect. They have the ability to pack a LOT of intense ride action into a small space. Yea I don't know if you were looking at the correct ride. Skyrush never looked underwhelming for a second. Also when you first encounter the ride at the park before riding it you can see it absolutely tear through the course.
  20. ^ A 1st generation Intamin drop tower like that would have been amazing.
  21. Looks awesome, Love the trains. Glad to hear it isn't slow and has good airtime...Is it normal airtime or "omfg" Skyrush airtime?
  22. I would have to say the Jurassic Park Safari at Universal Studio's Hollywood. It was eventually scrapped for the River Adventure after it was deemed to difficult to re-create the T-Rex chase. Too bad cause it would have been awesome. The second was the dueling raptor woodie's plan at IOA. This could be an idea that resurface's in the future.
