Yes, you can shop online and have stuff sent directly to your recipient. I know lots of folks did that last year. No, it does not have to be coaster related, and I think some folks probably prefer that it isn't. That's why you're encouraged to do a little research on the boards to find out about the person you'll be gifting to. And also it helps if everyone adds a little something about themselves in this thread!

I LOVE Shrek! The music is so incredibly catchy! If I listen to it I end up singing the songs for days. And, of course, Sutton Foster is A-MAZING.

It amazes me, too. I've heard so many people say that they're afraid of carnival rides because they don't think they're safe because they go up so fast. But the way I've always thought is that they take them apart and put them together so often that it would seem they'd be able to more easily spot a problem.

It's a beautiful place! If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit.

Earlier this summer we took our church youth group to visit Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, Alabama. I'm not sure if you're familiar at all with this place, but it's amazing. The pictures really do not it justice. The detail on these buildings is just incredible, especially when you get up close and see what all kinds of things he used to make them. Some things are just found items, glass bottles, etc. Here's the description from the website: If you're ever in the area and want a little side trip to occupy a couple of hours definitely check this place out. Lots of pictures! I'm uploading the first batch now. I'll add the rest when I get home from work.

Salt Rising Bread! I am too afraid to try it. For one reason, there's a million steps and it's a long tedious process. Another reason is because I've read that the potatoes smell terrible while they're fermenting to make the starter and makes your house smell awful. Danny would die if I stunk up the house like that! When done right it's supposed to taste amazing. I've never tasted any.

I haven't been on the board in a while so I'm just now seeing this! I'm so happy someone else is attempting baking, too! They look really good; even the poo frosting! A tip: I don't ever bother with sifting the dry ingredients. I just dump them all into the bowl and stir well with a whisk to break up the lumps. It's always worked great for me. (And I haven't stopped baking, either, but my husband just started night shift and I'm basically parenting alone on weeknights so time has been scarce. I'm planning on making a pie tonight though!) Can't wait to see you make more stuff!

That bug on the cactus is what my oldest daughter is allergic to! It's a cochineal. The coloring made from it is called Carmine, and it's in A LOT of makeup, and sometimes in food and candy. I have such a hard time finding makeup that I can use because I don't want to kiss her and make her have a reaction. Great pictures! Can't wait to see more!

I agree with Gregg on Cars 2. Definitely Pixar's weakest. I didn't think Brave lived up to the best of Pixar but still enjoyed it.

We went to see Warm Bodies this past Friday night. I loved it! It stayed very true to the book, which was great. Definitely recommend it!

I have heard the movie is great action with very little plot. My kind of movie to go zone out on. It was definitely one to zone out on. Just forget your troubles and enjoy the action. But a warning to any car enthusiasts, there are some cringe-worthy scenes, notably $11 million worth: New Die Hard movie wrecked 132 cars...

Danny and I had a Die Hard marathon last week leading up to seeing A Good Day to Die Hard on Friday night. I thought it was good. Danny said he had a hard time following who the bad guys were and what their motive was, but overall it was a good addition to the series. I didn't get up to go pee even thought I really needed to so that's a good endorsement!

I've done a lot of community theatre productions and just finished filming a local movie! Guys & Dolls is a great show! What role are you playing?

I was really impressed with him when he reached out to the City of Tuscaloosa in the aftermath of the tornadoes. He started a fundraiser site which raised $10,000.00 and he added $15,000.00 himself for the storm recovery.

I've been off the boards for a while. Busy with work, Girl Scouts, church, etc. I was happy to do it again and will be happy to do it this year, too. There's still a couple of snags we're working on to wrap this up. Hopefully Elissa and I will be able to get everything worked out with those folks.

I've sent a message to your secret santa asking if they have a tracking number. I'll let you know what I find out. Also sent a message to your recipient to find out if they've gotten a gift yet.

Guys, please check your tracking numbers and see where your presents are. It's possible that your recipients were out of town or something and haven't been home to post about their gift. Let me know what you find out, please!
