TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index
larrygator replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Much appreciated. I couldn't remember if the ones at Cedar Point had logos on the sides of their station houses. I suspect that may be the case for many coasters on the list. I shall remove these from the list. If anyone knows of any more please let me know. -

Six Flags Profits Way Up

$50 million is a very liberal figure. In today's landscape SF would be lucky to get $15 million. However, it could be possible that there is a clause in the leasing agreement whereby SF is not allowed to sell park. -

Don't expect SFKK to be sold. SF only owns 20 of the 58 acres. Even if it was sold for $50 Million that doesn't really make a dent in $2 Billion of debt. -
Good synopsis. Initially, I did not agree with the bad location statement based on the fact that Myrtle Beach gets 12-14 million visitors a year. If all those visitors were potential theme park guests I would not pin it on bad location because once you have that many people relatively close to the park you should be able to execute a strategy to get 10% of them to the park. But how many of those people are out of the theme park target audience, such as golfers who have no interest in amusement parks?

Shameless plugs for the TPR Park Index should come first. Shameless Plug -
Why is this thread being locked? Because it is vague, senseless and doesn't belong in the Ask Alvey Froum. They are wise but can not answer this question.

Rideslover - Granite Park does not need two threads. It is the role of the moderators to assist Robb and Elissa in closing rendundant threads. Sorry your thread was locked but deal with it. Although TPR would prefer that you posts your photos, but if you want to take your ball and go home, then don't post them. That is your perogative. But please don't backseat moderate and whine about this any longer. You spoke your piece and Robb and the moderators know of your displeasure. Let's move on.

Purplepills - not wrong at all. I'm glad he hurt only himself versus a bystander. The last thing this industry (or SF) needs is another frivolous lawsuit.

Depending on the day of the week you are at the park Cedar Point is the only one that you can not be gauranteed getting everything done in one day. Although the month of May is the generally least crowded time at Cedar Point. SFGAdv could be a problem but buying a Flash Pass would allow for everything to be done in one day

Best coasters in Texas???
larrygator replied to thrillgeek's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sounds like the great unexpected experience I had on the Paechtree Express at Schnepf Farms outside of Phoenix. Back on topic - Roadrunner Express at SFFT will be a surprisingly good ride for many, it does look like much but is one of the best of its kind. -

^At present TPR is only looking for signs that are not in the database or if you have a ride photo that is not too similar to what is already in the Park Index. We don't need you to spend a lot of time downloading pics that are "similar" to what already exists. thanks -

Jakizle - I have also been seeking photos of Hustler at SFFT. One of the next steps is to add signature, unique or uniquely themed flats to the database. If you have any Hustler photos please submit them also. Much thanks from the Overlord -

Cool, I add it tomorrow. thanks, -
Thread from 2005 Dave - according to this thread from 2005, coasters did not operate. Don't know how helpful that is as times may change.

^Thanks, we got it. It's uploaded. -
Now people will be even more jealous of my polyester and leopard print shirt from HRPs Elvis collection. I'm no bankruptcy lawyer but if the ride manufacturers were owed money, they might have first dibs on reacquiring their rides before being sold for pennies on the dollar to someone else. I'll buy Nights in White Satin.

^thanks for reposting - We had posted it for a couple of hours and then deleted it from the submission area. Then the site went down and we lost all the work that the mods executed within the past 24 hours. But it's back now. -

^I think the ones you sent were too big (800x600 max), but I'll check again. If they were larger can you resize and resend.
