  1. ^Thing is the fact that Great America had the room to make their queue really not part of the box, while Great Adventure had limited room and really had to make their queue outdoors (as much as I rather have a indoor). The preshow and themeing looks the same on both rides, just differently placed. Though I love your guys media pass!
  2. In the morning, we waited around 45min in the line... though later on during the rain, the line was possibly 20min? Probably cause people didn't want to wait in the outdoor queue in the rain. Log Flume in the rain though is awesome!
  3. The rain in person when taking that picture was unbelievable. It was so strong that after it was taken basically every ride in the park closed.
  4. People: Gabe Morales Robert Molloy Jake Chris Notes: - Super Teepee's Top is now next to Medusa's Break Run - Best of the West is expensive but goooood. - The Dark Knight's preshow audio seemed lower. - The Dark Knight's flag has been replaced all ready! - New sign for the Wizards golf thing. Now to the pictures, of course! NO WAY?! Not like I rode it all ready on Thursday! The new dark light golf game got a new sign! OUCH! TDK's line which Gabe made me wait in. At least Nitro is lookin' pretty swell. At least it isn't a eye sore. Two Batmans? Which one is a IMPOSTOR?! Time to photo-whore everything I see! Gimme yo money, fool. We aren't even in the queue yet! Sigh. New speakers in the queue line which plays the Joker's laugh, car cashes, and occasion the theme song from Batman Returns.. Headquarters! Chica-chica wall waa! Breaking news -- the audio has been turned off in the preshow room! Evacuate! Cory has just laid a big one! Two flags! More Flags, More Fun! Turn baby, turn. Cory has been marked by the Joker! Every Photo Trip Report MUST NOW include this type of picture. Welcome back Mouseateers! Subway cars or Wild Mouse trains? You decide. Jake approves! And yum, Nitro goodness. Batman and Rocky Balboa! The peacefulness of The Best of the West. And yes, only us would be dumb enough to ride the Log Flume at 50-something degrees on a rainy day! Something is wrong with us, I swear. OMG! Cedar Fair bought Six Flags?! Nitro in the down-pour! The Batcave has been flooded. And the crowds head indoors! And we finish off with the Log Flume in the rain!
  5. El Toro's lift is still the same with the super fast oh my god wow speed till the top where it slows down. I do not see it changing back to the super fast speed to the point you have ejector how ever.
  6. ^Actually I found the Houdini at SFNE terrible compared to ours. You guys have a WAY better outside exterior and facade for sure, but the inside was the ugliest theming. Six Flags Great Adventure's Houdini kills with our indoor theming, and when the ride is running with full effects, it is quite awesome. IMO.
  7. You got no idea how much that means to me dude, it is one of my hobbies now. Actually my personal favorite is this one that I took at the park yesterday, and it was not edited. All in my camera. Used it as the header of my site, haha.
  8. Old Country closed due to Six Flags thinking that it would be a smart business decision, and possibly a future project.
  9. Date: April 5th, 2008 Rides: El Toro - 11x Kingda Ka - 4x Medusa - 4x Skull Mountain - 2x Nitro - 11x Batman - 3x GASM - 1x Superman - 1x RMT - 1x Big Red Cars - 1x Big Wheel - 1x Notes: - New Pathing on Fantasy Forest is from the Golden Kingdom... - Musik Expree's Canvas is torn - Batman and Medusa closed, but later reopened. - Skyride and Parachutes opened later as well. - Ka was running two trains - Everything else running 2 trains from what I saw - Every new restaurant was open except La Cacina - El Toro and Ka are smoother then ever! - Skull Mountain's Effects were up! - New Cabana's at Old Country's Old Entrance - Lockers at Every Ride from what I saw - Flash Pass at every ride in the park now? - New Green Six Flags Shirts - Fly Me to the Moon was open. - Houdini's signs, everything is GONE. - Teepee area been covered by cement Thats all I can think of for now, but I am sure there is more. Pre-show building looks to be near competition. New Creamery! The new refurnished Riverbank Cafe. Old meets New Still a great ride IMO! Nitro's trimming was off in the morning! Matt's evil smile. I still find this part enjoyable though. And we finish off with Bugs fighting Daffy! Who will win?! The world may never know. Was a good day though some things went bad, other things went good. First day so I'll cut them slack, but the park's staff is very eager and friendly, park is extremely well cleaned and such. Just loading times were a bit slow and such. I got to meet some new good people and reunite with old friends. Also got to talk to Mark Kane and like always thank him for that and the great day!
  10. Well since my site crashed and I still wanted to get the pictures out, I just felt like posting them all now! Well hope you guys enjoy, and even though my site is off line currently till April 5th, I am still updating it. But again, thanks to Angel, Mark and Jenn for the tour! It was a great day and we got to see alot and can't wait for opening day!

  14. Well I am new here, but no where near new to becoming a coaster enthusiast. I have been one since 2000 really, thanks to my first coaster which I rode with my papap then Lightning Racer. For the few that post on COASTER-net.com, I am a staff member there and have been since 2004? I own a Great Adventure fan site, http://gadvonline.com. It is a really great site and of course, Six Flags Great Adventure has always been my home park. I live about a half an hour from the park. I have rode over 140 different coasters, and I am fortunate enough to have Phoenix at Knoebels as my 100! My favorite coasters are El Toro and Superman Ride of Steel. I know my steel is a weak, but you can't bring down Toro! For other information, I am fifteen, love the boardwalk, been wrestling five years coming up, girls, Phillies, HUGE PHILLIES FAN, and thats about it. Great to be on the site!
  15. Hmm seems like a tight squeeze on where they want to put it. And I agree with Robb on it being a Maurer Söhne X-Coaster, for it does seem it. Ha, to bad that concept art is going to give me a seizure before I even ride it.
  16. Disney overhead is simply amazing. Also, I finally get to see the size of Aquatica to Sea World! They are judging from the pictures relatively the same size? Great pictures though, thanks for sharing!
  17. Great trip report! God prayers with who rode those water rides on such a cold day, aha. Looking forward for my Great Adventure visit next Monday for the tour! Till then, thats all the parks I'll be seeing for three weeks..
  18. Ha, I guarantee you the GP will think X is a entirely new ride. Nice pictures!
  19. www.coasterdom.com/gallery/image.php?d=/Hersheypark/Fahrenheit/Construction/03-06&p=03-06-05 I don't know what is worst, that nasty color scheme or the fact that a ride right next door has the exact same track. Yuck, though nice layout.
  20. Holy crap! That thing is definitely a Toro and Balder and then some! But also watching some other clips, it seems that first hill lags a bit slower then on Toro.. so I am still questionable if this beats Toro. Plus going fifty miles per hour into sharp turns... oh dear god. The MCBR looks to drain the ride, but still it looks freaken insane. All I can say though is the more Plug and Plays in the World, the better.
