I'm wondering what all the new transformation will entail. It said the Greek Mythology theme is leaving, so new name as well? This could essentially be a brand new coaster to the GP (if they fail to see the X-->X2 change...) I'm glad my trip up there in September fell through! Can't wait for next year! At least the "Spider of Doom" was a good thing this year. When they put it on Chiller last year it ment goodbye. Griffon, may I ask is all of these pictures edited with contrast and I am guessing color curves and sharpened, or does your Cannon simply just make the quality so perfect? You have a AMAZING skill with photography man, and a good example of what I try to achieve when I take my own photos. Great work! And Dominator is such a photogenic ride, even if it is at such a.... park like itself.

After the first drop, Alpengiest owns any invert I'VE RIDDEN (before anyone starts yelling at me, I know their is better inverts out there I've yet to ride). But it's first drop is... heh. Even Great Bear is more intense! But the rest of the layout is pure genius! Though I'd like to experience going through the G-Roll with no MCBR...

You are correct about anticipating the turns but I was refereing to how it rides. I have heard the coaster overall has been getting rougher. I remember the coaster riding smoother than most steel coasters. I have not ridden it this year but have the past 2 years. Is it still that way or is it getting rougher? Truthfully, the front two cars still feel as smooth as the day they opened. The back row has a bit more of the "intamin feel" to it now but still is incredibly smooth and nothing to worry about. If people start complaining El Toro is rough, god knows what they think of all the other woodies out there (not counting Plug & Plays.. of course). LOL.

Yeah... we actually went to SFA except I forgot to charge my camera that day... The only thing I have against Alpengiest is its first drop. I don't know why, but its first drop to me does not feel any taller then Batman: The Rides. Then again, I really love Talon and Great Bear's first drop.... so heh it might just be me.

I wish Kings Dominion was good as the pictures suggest..

Beginning with the first ride with... a break down of Reeses and a rollback on it! With the lights on you can really see how the ride works and operates. WOOO EVAC TIME! Follow the exit signs! Except it's first drop completely owns it, even the front gives you sick ejector! Truthfully, the vertical lift wasn't anything special, just a good way someone made so a lift can take up less space.. Woahs, vertical! The Boardwalkers where entertaining them in front of Celsius!
