coastercub replied to cfc's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
hmmmm thats a bugger.. Will be at BGE on sept 14th, KD 15th and BGE again on the 16th. I'm on a mega tight schedule so have only those 3 days to play with. Could do BGE on the fri/sat and KD on sun I suppose !! Oh well I'm sure it'll be great either way !! Any ideas if Hypersonic will still be around then ? Thanx for the info though. At least I know what I'm in for on those dates !! -

Nice report. good photos ! Just a quick question for you (P)KD regulars/locals. What are the crowds like in september ? I'm booked in for a visit to BGE and (P)KD and was wondering if I'll be fighting the crowds off with a baguette or not ? ta -

Troy is looking more and more fun as time goes by... and there's still quite a bit more construction to do yet ! I feel a trip coming on ! -
Heide Park Discussion Thread

For the front part of the ride it's identical to Rita (which btw isn't worth waiting in line to ride) the only difference to Rita is the final little bunny hop on rita hits the brake and almost completely stops at least on this it doesn't kill it completely ! But saying that, it does look deeply disappointing and having riden Rita again this weekend I wouldn't make a trip there just for that ride alone !! -

You should come over to the UK to Brighton Pier, the seaguls there are enormous !! Still wouldn't want them pinching my ice cream though, thats just out of order !! Hopefully the seagul had a small sugar coma for a while and it'll put him off for life !! Really cool TR there Chuck ! Makes me wanna visit Florida !

The end of The Python: A Photo TR
coastercub replied to pianojohn's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Ahhh Rust In Pieces Python... can't say i'll miss it to be honest and next time I get there it'll be long gone, as I'm not due a BGT trip till end of next year !! But I certainly have enough chins to ride anything !! -
Those are some seriously pro shots of CP. Really captures the spirit and fun of the park in glorious colour. I'd happily pay for some of those high res shots ! Much Kudos to ya for that report as it's not a park a can get to easily being in the UK !!

The Official "TPR 2006 UK Tour" Thread!
coastercub replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There'll be no point going there if that goes.. although to be honest I wouldn't want to ride that thing again.. I don't mind a rough woodie now and then (ooo err) but the ultimate is beyond anything else (even Viper @ SFGAdv or Cyclone @ Dreamworld) Martin -
The Official "TPR 2006 UK Tour" Thread!
coastercub replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode The Ultimate a few weeks ago and I was shocked just how violent it was after the second hill. OMG it was so brutal and it doesn't matter where you sit in the mega long trains, it's ALL brutal. I can safely say I won't need to ride tha one again in my lifetime. I'm really curious what the TPR trip members thought of it ?? -
Ta for the critisizm, anything constructive is good as far as I'm concerned. The video was only really ever intended for me as sort of reminder of my day at the park but I decided to submit it anyway cos so many people said they wanted to see footage of G5. I had limited time at the park and as I knew I wold probably never get there again I concentrated on riding rather than filming so the footage is basic and the editing is simple. The choice of music suited what Kind of pace I wanted in the video and if "The Used" isn't your thing then I'm sorry but it's what I like ! I think I've made enough excuses now for what essentially is a poor video! BTW: G5 was VERY good due to it's location. The floorless was great fun too although not that fast. I got to ride the floorless B&M on my own too (a couple of times) but they wouldn't send G5 out with just me on it.

Couldn't have put it better myself.. so, erm i won't. I'm not one to shout all around the houses about my sexuality but I appreciate the struggle it took to give me the rights I have today and I'll support anyone who wants to change things to give us true equal rights

Hey NrthWnd, I'm hopeing to catch you guys at some point on the UK trip (probably Thorpe Park) as soon as the dates are released. Would love to do the whole trip but I've just moved house so finances are a little stretched for a while !! Ok back on topic.. I'm gay and I like bears !! (a token effort I know)
-
Lets face it.. if we were all sheep me and Shepp would still be gay !! Slight more fur of course and probably chasing each other around the field in between munching on grass... Shepp: I've not been to San Fran for a couple of years now.. maybe I'm due a visit.. you never know !! We could have a ride or two... on a coaster... Well I guess i can never ever complain about some of the places I've been to again after that report.. Wow that park really sux !! Quite alarming they had some decent flat rides there though. Would you risk your life on a credit with not a full compliment of wheels or a even risk riding the power surge !! The park definately did you a favour by not operating any rides... Classy !! Very classy !! -
I think from my own personal experience i'd say that although I sort of agree with Shepp I think it comes down to the fact that we are born one way or another (and degree's of one way or another) and the society we're brought up tells us how socially acceptable it is within our own situation. I myself prefer older men and it's obvious that most older men were born in a time when it was less acceptable to be gay and so most of them were married with kids etc so I think alot of it comes down to how honest you are with yourself !! I do honestly believe that you can't change your sexuality. Your just denying a part of yourself and I don't feel that's healthy. You have to question the society we live in today if people still have to deny a core part of their life to fit in or be socially acceptable. Anyway, what do I know.. I'm just a poof !!
-
Surely the only people qualified to answer the "born that way" debate are the ones "born that way" yet it's the str8 people who keep the arguement alive ! Whats that about ???
-
Hmmm, I DIDN'T choose to be gay. I think it's a VERY ignorant thing to pressume about something you clearly know NOTHING about, ONLY what you've been taught. Being a gay man and having many gay friends I know that NONE of them choose t be gay. It's the way they are born, not a choice or how they've been brought up. I'm proud of who I am, and I'm happy with my sexuality
