Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
sspaz1000 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd say anywhere from 3-5 minutes maybe, it really depended if there lots of people using the handicap access. But even then if it was a bigger group they split it up. Being an op who has worked the bumper cars in the past, I can't possibly explain how frustrating this is on my end. I have people bring infants through the line and expect to ride with them, and then get angry because they had to stand in the line, which began at the measuring box! That's where the line started when we got in line too, and there was someone standing out there as well! -

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
sspaz1000 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was with Chris yesterday at the park, and while Skyrush was dispatching with empty seats, a lot has to be said for people not wanting to split up groups and what not. On all 3 rides, ride ops always said two seats here, and allowed people to get on if they wanted to. While lines were absolutely insane, I must say Skyrush gets most improved, while waiting through all of the switchbacks, it was still only a 30-40 minute wait. I am still disappointed in the amount of miserable workers at the park. Also parents, there are height checks and height guides at the rides for a reason. Don't hold up the freaking line having a hissy fit because your kid is 3 inches too short for the bumper cars. Then after they walk you over to the exit, you still yell at the poor worker. He doesn't make the rules, you just failed to comprehend them. -

Don't worry about Skyrush's line. They've seriously improved loading and dispatch times from earlier this season. If the queue for Skyrush goes outside the switchbacks, it still was barely an hour wait and that was yesterday with extreme crowds. The line that shocked me was the Comet. It was more than an hour and kept up all day yesterday. But during a weekday, I think it won't be as bad. Most other rides were about a half hour wait. As for food, I liked the wings place near the arcade towards the Kissing Tower ride. The fries, perogies, and wings were pretty tasty. -

A response that doesn't even begin to acknowledge the issues. Why am I not surprised. -

I have no problems boycotting places I have issues with. But it kind of boggles my mind that a place that charges so much for pretty much nothing can't use that money to actually take care of the animals and the park itself. -

^I think so he was the guy at the entrance to dragon mountain. He's also the guy that's been lobbying for bathrooms near Dragon Mountain for quite a few years now. I'm pretty sure if I hadn't been so exhausted from Leviathan Bash, I wasn't as upset as I would have been normally. Even though I did want to see if what I had been seeing from things on the internet were true, and from what I can tell they are, I have no desire to give that place money ever again. -
Marineland Discussion Thread

I guess I must have been the only one to notice things on the TPR trip. Most of the deer in "deerschwitz" had terrible fight marks and/or holes in their ears not from lets say putting a tracking tag in but antler sized holes, and quite a few of the deer had other gaping wounds and blood and stuff. Also the bears looked a bit scraggly and at this point in the season, shouldn't be shedding the way the one bear was. I heard the rumours about Marineland being horrible to animals, and my animal loving instincts told me I was going to hate what I saw and I was right. Even the worker at Dragon Mountain's entrance who started talking to me for like 10 minutes wanted the owner of the park to let's just say, move on so someone else can come in and make the park into what had been promised, with more bathrooms, better food choices, better practices for animals, etc. -

^You are so right Elissa, I kept thinking on the trip she looks like a young celebrity and that's who it is (though I really shouldn't be calling Suri a celebrity). Great TR Chad! Thanks for uploading your photos. Made me laugh at all the good times I had on this trip! -
^I'm pretty sure I did, I searched all around the area even asking people to move, and there was just lots of trash, so he may have been there, but there could have been trash on him? It really looked like that corner hadn't been cleaned a few weeks. Maybe if someone else can get to Coney they can check.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
sspaz1000 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
WHORE!!!!!!! Just kidding I've ridden it too. I'm not proud of it but I rode it. My last coaster was Dominator at East Coast Bash. I felt slightly dirty riding it, lol. But a credit is a credit. But I make up for it by saying tonight I rode the Coney Island Clycone, in the back section in a seat by myself. Holy insanity. -

Randomly went to Bowcraft this weekend, while the Crossbow was down, so I didn't wander that far in, I did get the ride sign of The Dragon. The Dragon -
So I went to Coney Island today. Saw that there was a ducky to be found, and I searched and I searched the area where the ducky was supposed to be but alas, no ducky. But what I did see was lots and lots of cigarette butts, and other icky pieces of trash, and I also noticed that beyond the cement area it falls down into more places where lots of trash is tossed. I can hope that someone on the TPR trip found the ducky before I came and haven't posted yet. But all I saw was a little area that needed a lot of cleaning up, lol. Ducky area, but no duck.

Just wanted to say I had a fabulous time at ECB, both days. Though I loved Busch I was a bit frustrated with some of the employees especially during that time after ERT and before they let the rest of the public in. I don't mind being stuck in one area, but the attitude of some of the employees who accused us of sneaking in even after explaining, that I was just talking to them during the ERT session, kind of rubbed me the wrong way. But I will say, the food at Busch was amazing. I'm still thinking about that mac and cheese. And I still had a blast throughout the day. Lots of fun, laughs and my first dive coaster. Kings Dominion, was awesome. Ended up not needing fastlane cause I got all but avalanche and dominator before lunch. Was able to relax a bit before night time ERT.

I'd skip over SFA honestly, while yes it does break up the trip from Hershey to KD, the coasters aren't that spectacular (except Ride of Steel). While SFA isn't horrible, it just won't be as nice as any of the other parks you have listed on your trip. And yes you need two days at Cedar Point, if you really want to enjoy the park. I mean you can purchase fastlane, and that will get you a lot of the coasters, but it's pretty big and will leave you exhausted if you only have one day, and then have to drive after that day.

I noticed. Kicking the car and pushing it to get it going as well. Conneaut is one of those places, that you just want to give it some TLC because deep down you know how awesome it could be. -
