I consider train design to be the gimmicks and track design to be unique. There are some exceptions like inverted which is half train, half track. For instance Vertical coasters the uniqueness is in the track, enhanced by a widened train to make the drop and holding brake more exciting. Putting floorless on Griffon was a gimmick no question.

The tower kind of looks like Speed at Oakwood but it might just be launched. I have no idea what this has to do with the Perfect Ten. Don't rule out ride scale as a surprise. Looking at the picture I'd expect the tower to be 200ft but if it was 400 it suddenly becomes a different ride

Guess you don't notice small details like some of the things listed but its an eye-opener for sure.

When did you first know you loved coasters? First sight, first ride, where did it happen? When did you just realise you love theme parks? Which park sparked your addiction? I remember being told we were going to Alton Towers. Being the ignorant child I was I believed this was a wet old castle and gardens (I was half right). When we arrived I discovered my mistake and always want to return.

That's really sad he never got to ride the one coaster he wanted to ride above all else. You'd never expect anything so tragic to happen to someone you've ever heard of or met but when it does it really catches you off guard. From pictures of him I've seen he seemed to joke a lot and enjoy life, he will be sorely missed for a long time

My rant for today is this guy I met. He read through half a book on Japan and now thinks he knows everything to do with the japanese culture. People who think they're really sophisticated because they know the smallest details of another country's culture or language annoy me.

One more on topic question though, does riding at the back make much difference, I read somewhere that the front seat is best for the view (well duh) but the back is best for G force because its being pulled along by the rest of the train. Does it make much difference at all? I never really do front and back just front or back and then midle place rerides
