  1. You'll drive through Indianapolis on the way there, Can I tag along? Seriously... I live so close to IB but have yet to go!
  2. Nice photos, but why no photos of Pilgrim's Plunge?
  3. Well Last November I started a park. It was called Embassy's Worlds of Discovery. It was owned by Embassy Hotels (similar to Marriott's Great America.) It was located in between Savanah Georgia and Hilton Head Island. When you entered the park it there was a long midway with a big fountain in the middle, similar to KI's International Street. There were many shops, a few rides, a theater, and a couple restauraunts. At the very end of this area was an Observation Tower and a TGG Woodie Very Similar to Voyage at Holiday World. The first section of the park was America. It featured the Parks oldest Coaster Riverside Runner (Donau's was named after it.) Also in this area were classic rides like A Whip, A Carousal, A double Armed Ferris Wheel, and the main attraction in this area... Double Loop. It was similar to Geuaga Lake's but this one also featured a Corkscrew. Conquistador at Donau was inspired by it. The next section was Caribbean and it featured the two biggest coasters at the park. A Custom Vekoma SLC similar to Kumali. The other was a mini B&M Hyper like Goliath at La Ronde. There was a pirate ship, Top Scan, a custom Intamin River Rapids, and a HUSS Top Spin. There was an underground tunnel that lead to Europe. There was a Parachute Tower, a CCI Woodie with Gerstlauer Trains. A Festhaus style restauraunt with a theater in it. There was also an Intamin Bobsleigh Coaster. I never finished anything else but there was going to be a Vekoma Mine Train, a few flat rides, and a China Section with a small B&M Floorless. And a hotel was planned for the park but never started ground breaking. I never got to post this park cause it got a corrupt file the night I got my Graphics Card. I'm thinking about restarting this project since Donau is now on hold til' I get more RAM. Here you can see the B&M Mini Hyper and a few other rides. The side of the tunnel with the Parachute Tower was Europe, the other side was Caribbean. Notice the maintenance roads? Here is the Top Scan with the Vekoma Custom SLC in the background. I tried to make unqiue landscaping here at EWoD Here is the odd looking station for the CCI. This is the CCI. The reason for the tunnel is because the B&M Mini Hyper and the maintenance roads. This is the Landscaping Sheds located in the back corner of the park. Another View with the Gravity Group Hybrid in the background. This is Double Loop. Here is the Intamin Bobsleigh. Many rides at Donau are inspired by rides here. Theme. More theme. This was the backside of the Main Midway, it featured many restaurants. The Dodgems were not completed yet. A Building in Caribbean. Overview of the park. I'm thinking about remaking this park, what do you think?
  4. ================================ February 1991- Construction Tour I was talking to Mr. Heiznorg about the new Kid section and how it's coming along and he took me on a backstage tour. Here you can see some of the Miniature Train Ride. The Vekoma Custom Kid Coaster's track work is complete but the station isn't finished. The train is parked on top of the lift hill for now. Here is the coaster's layout, looks pretty fun! I like how they set up the new area, looks great! From Double Looping's Lift Hill you get a nice view of the new area. There are alot of trees in the area that will provide shade. I'll try my best to update more often, but My computer is very low on memory and can't run Donau Park Ridge that much and when it does I can only be on it for about 10 Minutes. And When I take photos, very few of them actually show up on my Computer.
  5. Diamondback splashing at night. Diamondback splashing at day. Backlot splashing at day. Entering last helix. Double Corkscrew. I hate when people walk infront of the camera when they know I'm taking a photo! Paul took a similar photo (his is better though) so I copied him. SOB Fail. Flight Deck Bridge. Slingshot was only $5 so why not...? Which one is better? If you look at my Opening day PTR, I took photos of these same geese when they were just a few days old, now look how big they are! Skloosh! Trying out my zoom, and these people are at the top. Old FoF Trains. TG. Amazing structure. The trains look sooo tiny! Exiting the MCBR. Getting close to the final brake run. ♥ Old loop footings. Airtime! Blue train. Look at those amazing curves! Would be better if it was brighter. Yes everyone, I DO love Son of Beast! Adventure Express. Most likely Vortex wheels. Congo Car. Invertigo. Another Invertigo Photo. Took over the fence and saw a Test Seat. Took from WWC's exit. My favorite-est photo. Out of the MCBR. WWC. Thanks for reading!
  6. My uncle took me and Mitch to KI this weekend for Ride Warriors. He didn't take us til' Noon Saturday so We missed All Saturday Morning ERT, and Beast tour. The park was pretty crowded Saturday but I didn't care. We didn't get a whole lot of rides in on Saturday (Minus Dback ERT.) Q&A Was fun, but Beast's Birthday Party wasn't that great so I left it early. At about 9:20pm. I got in Line for Beast. But it closed from 9:50-10:05 because of the fireworks so I didn't get off til' 10:10. I than went to Diamondback ERT. The queue wasn't that full we waited 7 Minutes for Very front. After that ride the line kept getting smaller so we Just kept getting on and alot of times staying on for up to 8 Rides without leaving the station! It was great, at about my 28th. Ride I started to not feel so good. A skunk sprayed in the woods, the on ride photo hurts my eyes, and all those G's were starting to get to me. So I got off on my 31st. Ride (ERT had just ended.) I went back to the hotel and fell asleep. I set my alarm for 6am. but my ride turned it off and woke me up 9 hours later, so I missed all the ERT on Sunday! Luckily the park was dead and I got a walkon on Delirium, Drop Zone, Invertigo, and SOB (Stayed on twice without leaving the train.) But I missed Racer tour by a few minutes. SOB Tour was amazing, loved it! We left around 7:40pm. I took over 200 Photos, but I'm only posting the more unique ones. We started our day at Son of Beast and waited around 100 Minutes, took this photo of TG's track. Happy people on Delirium. Had some Skyline Chili and took this from Skyline Patio. Than we went to Diamondback. I think they just built this fence around the pumps a week or so ago. I took this photo from Diamondback's queue stairs going into the station. I hadn't ridden Beastie since April 2008 so I decided to ride it again. Than went to Drop Zone and got a second ride on it. B&M Arrow Tree Crypt is now a B&M Mega Coaster Not too good of a photo cause it was night and I didn't have a tripod. Random stuff in Crypt.
  7. It was originally going to be next weekend but since that is Cedar Point's opening Weekend they moved it back one week. Why didn't they have Cedar Point open this weekend, and Ride Warriors Next weekend?
  8. I count relocated coasters. I count Dueling/Racing Coasters as two. And I would count heavily modified coasters (Steal Phantom-Phantoms Revenge.) But when it's nothing too major like Son of Beast, or Bizzaros, I wouldn't recount them since they are the same coaster, just different effects/ new trains.
  9. Another reason why uploading to TPR is the most awesomist idea ever. Somewhat true... But I post PTRs on about 10 other sites. Then upload the pictures to TPR and embed them in the other Photo TRs you post. At any rate, great TR. Oh, I didn't know you could copy and paste them, I thought it was more confusing. And in those photos, they added the new Cedar Fair logos to them so They did of course notice them. Thanks, LSHoF? Thank you! Can you tell me which ones you like best?
  10. Lagoon looks like a really great park! Be sure to post a PTR. Also there is this really cool somewhat amusement park in Logan Utah (I think thats where it is) and they have some neat attractions. Also, I believe S&S Is centered there and they sometimes have rides and coasters set up for people to ride, but I'm not quite sure if anyone can go ride them or if they even do that anymore.
  11. Nice photos, You seemed to like KI alot! I think it's really under-appreciated on TPR... Can't wait to see more HW photos.
  12. Canon Power shotSX110 with 10 optical zoom, 9.0 megapixels, and 40x total zoom. Great camera!
  13. No I was not being sarcastic whats so ever. I bet almost every Coaster Enthusiast who has ridden SOB Actually liked it a little, they just don't want to admit it since some people hate it, and they think they'd be considered noobish if they said they liked it. I haven't ridden alot of wooden coasters (20), but SOB is my favorite. I haven't gotten to ride Voyage yet cause Holiday World is about 3 Hours and you have to take state roads to get there. I have been to HW, in 2001 so I only got to Ride Raven and Legend. I have Not been to IB cause no one will take me (Can't drive yet.) But SOB is actually a great ride, you do in fact get loads of airtime on the 214ft. drop, and out of the MCBR if the trim is light. I'm sure Voyage, El Toro, and alot of other woodies are better than SOB but out of the wooden coasters I've ridden, SOB is my #1.
  14. Last set of photos. As I was about to take a photo of Drop Tower, it dropped. Empty Diamondback queue and station. The splashdown is still. The only life in the splashdown was the waterfall. It was sad seeing no train go down this drop... So we rode Beast! Backlot Stunt Coaster got new photos in it's billboards, again. Why would you want to carry this giant stuffed animal with you All Day long!? It now dark so we rode Top Gun. Sadly I didn't have enough time to ride SOB that day because Adam texted me saying Diamondback was about to reopen so We had to get there fast before the queue got too big. We rode Diamondback twice during night. Thanks for reading!
  15. Wow, You didn't seem to like Beast too much; it's a great ride. I can't see how people don't like it this year. SOB is amazing, Best woodie at KI. Firehawk is pretty good, Wayyyyy better than any B&M Flier I've ridden. it has something called Force, unlike Superman clones.
  16. For you people who haven't ridden Diamondback yet, The lift hill is extremely quiet, the anti roll backs are silent, and you get up the lift in a matter of seconds. It's like a cable lift! Airtime! About to dive into a pit of awesomeness! My friend Brian is on the very front left seat. More airtime! The splashdown is very noticeable in every seat, and in the back you get wet! On the count of 3 how loud can Green train be! 1,2,3- Ahhhhh! Why are no trains coming!? Thats why! An air compressor went out I think... So they got to evacuate. Lucky people! They pretty much got a backstage tour that I haven't got since it was underconstruction. Lucky! This is what the train did for a few more hours. So I got inline for Beast. KI did infact get something from Geuaga Lake besides X-Flight... More soon!
  17. Thanks! ---------------------------- Flight Commander's old queue. Being Renovated. Nice detail for this building, even though it's not visible unless you look over a fence. First of all, King Cobra? And secondly, why would you want a photo strip with Congo on it? Face/Off.. Whats that? Adventure Express, trees got in the way though. They painted over the green. No more Fire-Flight/X-Hawk. Awesome element. Egg-turn. Neat looking bird under Eiffel Tower. I told the elevator op. they need to fix this, but they didn't even notice anything wrong with it.. Looking down. Up they go! I can see my house from hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I liked the hammerhead best in row 8, for some reason it's most intense there. In the back seat you get great airtime here, but not on the rest of the small hills, but in the front you don't get airtime here but you got airtime on the little hills. Backlot and Vortex, 2 Trains in 1 photo. I never noticed you can see Firehawk from here... Nice guy, I've seen him multiple times this season, and he's really cool. Scorpion I think. Neat shot glass. Race shirt! Coming soon, more Diamondback photos!
  18. Another reason why uploading to TPR is the most awesomist idea ever. Somewhat true... But I post PTRs on about 10 other sites.
  19. Well I've been having some problems with Photobucket so I just now got some of the photos uploaded, there will be alot more btw! Woke up at about 5:45 Saturday and left my Dad's house around 7am. We got some McDonalds 1 Exit South of KI. By the time I bit into my sandwich we were getting off the highway and onto Kings Island Drive, so I just threw it away since we got to KI at about 8:55 and I had 5 Minutes to get to Diamondback from the parking lot! I made it to the entrance at 9:01. ERT Was amazing, I got 7 Rides on Diamondback, and I could of gotten 9 but I waited for Back and Front. So at about 9:50 I was on Diamondback's lift hill, I turned around and noticed the parking lot was empty. So Instead of going to X-Base before the parking lot opened, we just kept riding Dback til 10:05. Than we went to X-Base and wait 10 Minutes for Firehawk, and 20 Minutes for FoF (longest we waited all day.) Firehawk was as good as it was last year and they fixed the green paint, it's now Back to Red. FoF now has music playing in the spaghetti Bowl and brake run, and the ride seemed alot more intense minus the strong MCBR. After FoF, we went to Adventure Express and got 2 Rides in a row on it, had alot of fun! We than decided to ride Viking Fury and, wow.. it changed. Last year it was great, I loved it but now it's ride cycle is slower, you don't swing to far, and it's just boring... We were going to meet up with some other people but they were on Delirium so we were going to Top Gun. Extreme Sky Flier was $5, so why not go ride it? Me, Paul, and Mitch bought our tickets and waited along time til' we got to ride it. Paul was going to pull the cord but the tallest person isn't allowed, so I got to. It was pretty fun. My Dad's Fiance's ex-husband's girlfriend called me and asked if we wanted to go to Picnic Grove for some event. We said yes and the food was actually really good! We got awesome lanyards, got some cool views of Diamondback, got to see the Diamondback model upclose, got souvenir cups, and great food! Me and Mitchell met back up with Brian and Paul at Blue Ice Cream Patio and waited for Ty. Than We walked to Vortex and waited 15 Minutes for 7-1. Got some great Arrow-Time (lol) and a smooth ride! I wanted to get some good pics of Racer so we went to Sponge Bob. Since the line wasn't too bad we decided to get in line. It was actually pretty fun and it was nice riding it, since I haven't gotten to since 2003. Ty than showed me where you could get some cool photos of Flight Commanders queue and we took some photos. Paul and Ty went to the arcade and Brian, Mitchell, and Me rode Blue Racer. It was a little rough, but the airtime made of for it. We met back up and went to Eiffel Tower for some Aerial Photos. We left Ty up there and He didn't know we left and so we waited at the base for him and refilled our cups with some Fanta. Than we all walked around International St. and than too Diamondback. I used the single riders lane while they waited in the main queues. I rode 2 times, once in the very back, and once in row two. Row two is great, you just hang on the main drop, than get amazing ejector on the second hill, same for the third. The hammerhead is awesome in the front, you can turn around and say hi to everyone! I was in line but than Diamondback closed, so I went to the Exit of Crypt and took some photos. After about 30 Minutes We got bored and We went to Beast. Waited 15 Minutes for Row 2. Had a smooth ride, but Mitchell hit his hand on the tunnel in the double Helix. After Beast I think I went to Drop Tower and waited 20 Minutes. Than to Top Gun and waited 1 Train for the front seat. TG Seems alot faster at night, you should try it! Than I got a text from Adam saying Diamondback opened back up so we walked there and waited 15 Minutes for Back Seat and got back in line again and waited about the same time for row 2. I had a great time, and can not wait to get back this weekend for Ride Warriors! I rode... Diamondback- 9 Beast- 1 Vortex- 1 Racer- 1 FoF- 1 Firehawk- 1 AE- 2 DZ- 1 TG- 1 Viking Fury- 1 Eiffel Tower- 1 Extreme Skyflier- 1 Spongebob- 1 Race not racing, but Blue Side was about to start testing. See. If you look close, you can see Racer is going up one of it's airtime hill and Vortex is Entering it's batwing! My best try at being artsy, I took a photo of the reflection of the park through a TV, showing Racer going on a hill, Vortex on it's MCBR, and Diamondback going up it's lift! Another attempt of being artsy. On the left is Ty, and the right is Paul and some random girl checking out Paul... Anti-Roll-Back System. The only part of Race that is actually Noticeably banked. Coney Mall Construction Update. My shirt, and I think I'm in Vortex's station... My cool lanyard. Arrow Track. I have no idea what this is... Bat footing. Vortex is infact a Terrain Coaster... Things under it's station. Detail shot. Race with SOB behind it. Diamondback going up it's lift, and Vortex entering it's batwing. Dipn' Dots? With The Giant Onion being gone, you get good views of Racer! I was taking photos of random people, and I actually think I know this woman... Mulch with no tree. Not that good of a photo, but there will be better photos of Diamondback soon! Same.. KI loves Diamondback so much they even put it on Pasta Salad! I have one of these in my room! Never before seen view! Almost looks real! Helix #1. This is what Dback's station really looks like. Stuck lens through hole in fence to see what was on the other side. More soon, Including... TONS of Diamondback photos, and more!
  20. Excellent photos as always JZ. Photobucket is being weird for me, so I can't upload my photos...
  21. When is that? I'm not gay, but I had a friend who went last year (He's straight too) and he said the park was empty cause everyone was in Festhaus watching some Drag Queen thing.
