I love the monorail! And at least your cat sleeps under the tree, not in it. Mine thinks he can still climb up inside like when he as a kitten.

Chattanooga to receive new waterpark
Flippero95 replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It sounds like a great idea for Chattanooga. When we lived in Nashvegas, we would drive down once or twice a year for the aquarium, or just to tour around, ride the carousel etc... I'm sure we would have made the trip for an awesome water park! -
Theme parks in Google Earth
Flippero95 replied to texcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can see both Disneyland and WDW on Google maps satelite. It's one of the many ways to cheaply entertain my kids. edit: I just checked and can see SFOT as well. -
You are doing an awesome job! Congratulations so far. From up the thread: I had no idea the snack bar at Target gave free refills. I guess next time I'll get my drink on the way in, instead of on the way out.

We are just staying in town, visiting relatives. We hosted Christmas at our house last year, so we are out of the holiday rotation this year. (yay!) All we are doing for Thanksgiving is cooking a side dish and showing up. We moved away from family right after college, and have only been 'home' for about 2 years. It is SO nice to not have to travel over the holidays.

I'm glad you decided to finish the TR, it's excellent! Don't leave us hanging on the rest of it! -
Good Luck! I guess you are lucky your daughter doesn't Trick or Treat yet. We always end up with tons of candy in the house!

A Day In The Life Of YOUR TPR Visit!
Flippero95 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What board do you read first? The Donkey one, then Random, Random, Random. Sometimes the Ask Alvey or Video one. How often do you visit? Almost every day. How many pages through each board do you read? Usually just the first one. Are there certain types of posts you read more than others? I like Photo TRs and park updates. The Random forum is good for a laugh (I'll never look at Spaghetti-os the same after reading "Cooking with Joe", for instance) Do you do anything else besides reading the forum (chat room, profile, searching, main site photos, etc) I occasionally watch videos. My son has watched the "What Not To Do On a Roller Coaster" cartoon about 872 times. Tell us anything else you want about your TPR visits! Thanks for entertaining me! -

WDW Castle Christmas Lights
Flippero95 replied to MagicSpringsGuy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That looks so cool! (no pun intended). I'm trying to convince my husband that we should just 'skip' Christmas this year and go to WDW instead. So far, no luck. -
I live in Texas and my first Disney park was Disneyland. My friend and I flew out to visit her Grandparents in CA. When my husband and I live in TN, we went to WDW, but Florida is within driving distance of Tennessee, whereas California is not. I think the whole WDW vacation idea is a bit overwhelming. Doing a 7 day Disney vacation is a bit of a "keeping up with the Jones" type of thing to do around here. If I just wanted to spend a few days in a Disney park, I'd just as soon go to DL, so I wouldn't feel like I 'had' to see everything. My kids have already been to WDW, and we plan to return, but we will also make a point of taking them to DL at some point.

I read this article this morning too. I'll miss the Wildcatter. Of course, in my day, it was just called the "Free Fall". We have plans for Fright Fest in a few weeks, I'm excited. By the way, I've been going to SFOT my whole life and I've been to SFFT exactly once, so I don't know that they get a lot of crossover traffic.

I geek out just going into the Hello Kitty store at the mall. I might drop dead from excitment if I were to visit Sanrio Harmonyland! -
Best And Worst Things Ever
Flippero95 replied to Manny In England's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst: waiting almost 3 hours to see Sponge Bob 4-D. (The things we do for our kids) Best: Getting stuck in the 1940s part of The Carosel of Progress at WDW. I was 6 months pregnant and happy to sit in the air conditioning for a while. -
Hi! I'm Michelle. I'm 34 and live in Texas. My home park would be SFOT, but the last park I visited was Sea World. I've been following the thread on the construction of the Boardwalk Bullet in Kemah. We went there last summer, so I can't wait to visit again. That's all for now. I don't have much to say about roller coasters, but I thought I'd say "Hi!"
