As much as I hate to agree with Jow (and believe me we usually disagree on such issues), I think in this case, he raises SOME good points. And he actually didn't miss the main one for once (only kidding honey ): Being gay is not a choice, and therefore, as much as the teenagers sent to these camps may or may not be miserable, if the kids are gay when they're sent there, they'll be gay when they leave. I'm sure many of the kids are miserable while at these places, and that's bad, but hopefully in the grand scheme of things not too much long-term damage is done. For a lot of parents, learning their child is gay is a difficult thing to go through, in some cases more difficult than the realisation of the child themself, and unfortunately some of the ways they find of dealing with the situation may cause pain to their kids. The only way to stop this, yes, is to close the camps, but I think it'll take a long time for that to happen.

UK Photo TR: live2tell75 (the other Eric Johnson)
Louise replied to live2tell75's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great pictures so far Eric! I keep hearing about people cutting branches back on Treetops... I take it this was AFTER I got hit in the forehead with a branch. Jay rode the train before me and warned us as he got off that there were leaves and stuff to watch out for... Leaves would have been fine, but that thing HURT! Also, the more I hear about it and see pictures, the more annoyed I am that we missed the Megafobia walkback. Stupid Jeff and Clint leading me astray! :: -
Industrial strength Meat Slicers!?!?!?!

That stall was hilarious. Most random prizes in history. Who wants to walk out of a theme park carrying a microwave?! -

^ Sleep. You guys have put enough work in over the last couple of weeks to last a lifetime, we can all wait another day or two for the new update. Go and get a Vodka Windex and chill. -

^ It's raining because I'm not there and the sun has apparently been following me these past few weeks. Forget the fudging hammer, did they let you keep the coasters?! -
If this actually happens..... :)

^ Haha, I was just going to post pretty much the same thing! Yeah Daron, Jeff has an extra three (hundred) years on you, you were one of the young uns! We had so much fun with you, even if Elissa hated us by the end of the trip... Unfortunately its not a very uncommon sight in Norway. I cant give you any answers to why it is like that, but it feels a bit embarrasing that it seems that the spitting is what made the biggest impression on you in Norway. Sorry, I should have made it clearer that this isn't something that really made a huge impression on me or affected my opinion of Norway or its inhabitants, it was just something that was noticeable as it is so different from what I'm used to, and seemed worth commenting on. If I'm honest, I really don't have a very strong view on Norway, as we were only in the country for just a few hours, all of which were spent inside a theme park! The employees were very pleasant, the park tied with Thorpe for the number of queue jumpers, the food was expensive, and the countryside and views were some of the most beautiful I've ever seen... Apart from that, I know nothing! I'll come back and visit for a week sometime, see how I feel then. -
Ted, that was awesome! Kinda cool to have a few photos from each day like that, I just relived it all! My eyes are way too tired right now, but I'll be sure to read the full trip report in the morning. Thanks for not posting any heinously bad pictures of me, much love. Was really nice to meet you guys!

The spitting lesbians were hot, but... They spat! As did all the men! We have Norwegian members, right? Why did people spit so much?! -

^ My day was mixed. The rain made me peeved, and all the spitting lesbians scared me, I had to keep jumping out of the way to keep my shoes dry. But Thundercoaster was good in the rain, and watching the crazy dragon show without the English translation was pretty fun! -

We had fairly clear weather most of the day, but it started raining pretty heavily around an hour or so before our ERT started, and yes, it was INSANE in the back. There were tons of cameras around so I'm sure there's some pictures of us all being thrown around somewhere on people's computers and in Norwegian newspapers. -
Hi Ryan!

Dan was just telling me last week that he wishes people actually used the links Robb posts to email him. He gets maybe one every couple of months but I think his ultimate goal is to receive several per hour.

Just got home, am miserable, bored, and lonely already, just want to add a few thoughts: Trip was so awesome for three reasons: 1) Robb and Elissa putting vast amounts of effort into ensuring everybody had a great time and got to do everything they wanted to, many thanks and much love guys; 2) the parks doing so much for us with ERT and other stuff and making us feel so welcome (kinda linked to 1 as I'm sure some of the stuff they did was because Robb and Elissa are so popular and well-respected); and 3) the insanely fun bunch of people. I'm kinda tired, covered in bruises (trying to cram 6 people into scramblers, waltzers, log flumes, etc etc, not a great idea) and this house is way too freaking quiet, but it was TOTALLY worth it. Also, I did not have a hangover ONCE on this trip, everybody stop implying I'm some kind of alcoholic, I think you're getting me confused with the Aussies. Not sure what's going on with my face in the Southport update, probably just tired, that morning felt really early for some reason if I remember correctly. I miss my Aussie bitches, Ryan is the dude, only two lifts allowed, "we don't have to ride with you"... Looking forward to seeing everybody's pictures and the rest of the updates. -

I would just like to point out that I hate everybody who had anything to do with the invasion, video, photo of me with my belly out, and buying me singing toilets and genitalia confectionary. That is all. -
LOL, so "pretty tame and slow" may have been a slight understatement?

I thought you were gonna try and DEcrease the size of your boobs after the half-naked photos of you and Robb, not eat and photograph as much as possible! I have no clue where you went. And very original idea by the way. -
Nice pics Nicole, glad you found somewhere to up your count after a disappointing morning. Plenty of kiddie coasters over here for you next week! Any snapping on the flyers?

Nicole, did you read this?? Another one to add to the list of possible ways we're all going to die on the trip.
