I can confirm Batman is on FP, I hit it twice in a row Today with it. BTW, I finally got on the orange train of WC a couple of times towards the end of the day and I can confirm it does have a very odd strong vibration. The difference between the orange and blue train is significant. The blue ran much smoother and faster. I'll have a detailed TR plus some photos tonight or tomorrow.

From my understanding, all the wheels have been switched over, and the paint has pretty much all chipped away (apparently the paint was sticking to the wheels and slowing the train down the first few weeks). But yes, so far I have 3 more rides on it today, and the airtime has been equally as strong as it was yesterday. GAdv is my homepark so I have over a hundred rides on Toro to compare it to. Btw, back to 2 train operation today.

Took the 4 hour trip up from NJ today, which was my first trip in 11 years. We just spent a couple hours at the park as we will have an entire day at the park tomorrow. Some notes... -Wicked Cyclone was AMAZING!!! I got 2 rides on it; once in the 2nd to last row around 5pm, and once in the very front row around 9pm. After 9 years of being my number 1 overall, I think El Toro has finally been dethroned. The airtime on all hills was about as strong as Toro's RT crossover hill, the hangtime on the inversions took me way off guard, the transitions are a lot snappier than the POV's make them look, the pacing is rapid fire, and it is probably smoother than any B&M I have been on. Truly incredible. I remember Robb saying Outlaw Run was like the B:TR of wooden coasters...to me, that is the perfect description of this ride (I know, I know...WC is I-Box). There isn't really one second of rest. BTW, I don't know if this is new due to the wheels switching over, but WC has quite a loud roar that I didn't sense from any off-ride footage. -Having ridden S:RoS in its former glory, I must say Bizarro was running every bit as fast and intense as it did in 2004. I only rode it in the first 2 rows, which were my preferences 11 years ago, so I can't speak for how the back rides. However, the new trains do really suck. I did notice some solid rattles in a couple of transitions, the lap bars hit the thigh in a more uncomfortable spot than the old trains, and the audio is horrific. Very loud and very obnoxious. As I said, though, the ride didn't feel sluggish. I got ejector on every hill, and positive G's in the overbank and first helix. If WC wasn't down the midway, it would still be my number 1 steel. -Operations were piss-poor. WC was running only 1 train and Bizarro was stacking every cycle. Line cutting was apparent at WC despite security presence. On the flip side, I thought the park looked great. Very underrated theming and structural atmosphere. Of course the usual SF operations and clientele takes the park down a notch, but it is a pretty park with an incredible 1-2 coaster punch. Can't wait for my full day tomorrow with either a gold or platinum flash pass!

Hey guys, I'll be heading up to SFNE from NJ for the next 2 days. On Thursday, I will be purchasing a platinum flash pass to get on WC as many times as possible. I also am looking to spend a couple of hours at HH, and I was wondering if the flash pass is also good for HH, or do I have to buy an entirely separate flash pass just for HH. I checked the website and couldn't get a straight answer.

Since the first week and a half, pretty much every report I have read he said it's been running fast. I think the wheel situation has been settled and broken in. I have heard the blue train seems to run a bit faster with less squeeking, though. I will find out for myself in 6 days for my first trip to SFNE in 11 years...can't wait!!!

Roar has no strong airtime hills and in its current state doesn't hold a candle to ANY of the RMC's out there. At worst, a Roar transformation would be a top 5 coaster on the entire west coast of the country. There would be a high chance of it being a top 10 steel coaster in the entire WORLD, and easily the best ride at the park. I understand hoping for an El Toro-style camelback, but I just do not understand not being excited for what will be a stellar ride regardless. In the entire WORLD, very, VERY few coasters rank higher than RMC's worst. Northern Californianers would be incredibly blessed to have one in their region as hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts in other areas would kill to have even RMC's worst coaster within driving distance.

One of life's greatest mysteries. My guess is Intam8n's shaky reputation along with the price tag being high for a wooden coaster. Also, I do feel more would be added to SF parks had Premier still been in charge. Selfishly, in a way I am happy that more haven't popped up. Now, my homepark has something completely unique to this country and has won countless awards.

Still soooo grateful I have El Toro at my homepark. I remember the 6am announcement like it was yesterday. That ride alone has made up for the last 10 years of the park's coaster timeline. ^I know the question is directed at another poster, but the ride is about the same it was on opening day. A little rougher in spots, specifically the turnaround, but nothing to alter the experience at all. The only thing that's worse compared to opening year is tbe slowed down lift, which made the drop go from having insane ejector to slightly less insane ejector.

Pretty much what I've been expecting all along. I do hope they reconsider due to capacity and REALLY wanting an RMC by the lake, but it would still be an awesome addition regardless. I am curious what effects they are referring to as well. Fog and strobe lights would be really awesome and disorientating at night time on the lake.

It really depends on what rides you want to go on at GAdv. A full queue for Toro is usually less than an hour, Nitro's line moves fast and is usually under 45min, Bizarro is almost always under 15min, B:TR is rarely over 30min, and GL's single rider queue can turn a 45min wait into a 15min wait. S:UF can get very long, and KK is very finnicky, but otherwise you can definitely get a lap on all the other coasters from 12-6. However, if you want to get on EVERYTHING with some rerides, Dorney is the much better option. But...Dorney doesn't have El Toro

Just got done with a quick trip to the park. Got the 2nd train out on Toro in the morning, front row, which was cool. Hopped on an empty row near the back without exiting the platform. Hit up Skull Mountain, Nitro and B:TR before leaving. All were walkons besides Nitro because they took about 15min transferring on the 3rd train/testing. KK was down still and I heard was expected to be down all day.

Go with it. In my experience the very best trips I've had have been with a bleek weather forecast. In 2004 I visited SFNE for 2 days with the forecast calling for rain both days. I saw some light rain the 2nd day, but both days the park was DEAD, with me getting on S:RoS 26x. In 2005 I visited BGE with a similar forecast. Once again I only saw spot rain, and everything was a walk on that day except for BBW (running one train I believe). The only time I was defeated by weather was a night trip to Hershey. The rain wasn't what caused tbe coasterz to close, but rather thunderstorms a couple of miles away that never hit the park. After 3 hours the coasters did open and I got on multiple coasters in the 1.5 hours the park was still open, but it did put a damper on things. I say go for it!

Very true, although I think it is 99% likely. Every park in the chain except SFSTL and La Ronde has gotten something new or maked over since 2011, when GAdv got GL. Before that, it had been 5 years since their last major coaster, El Toro. Some parks like SFGAm, SFMM, SFFT and SFNE have received multiple coasters. Considering GAdv is arguably the biggest cash cow in the chain, I'd say it is almost a given with the markings on the lake and in Old Country that something substantial is coming.

If people are taking it that seriously, I agree, that is ridiculous. However, I've found most people are taking SF's attempt at marketing in a more humorous way. Even Frontier City got in on the action! -
I always try to curb expectation and entitlement of a great new coaster due to how spoiled we were in the early -mid '00's, but I definitely think we are overdue. In the past 4 years 6 parks have received RMC's, some of those parks receiving other coasters as well in that time. I think it is time GAdv gets something substantial in the coaster department, especially after the removal of essentially 5 different tracks (2 a piece on RT and Chiller, and GASM).

Woolandmammoth, that's an interesting idea that I have considered (at least as far as the land is concerned, not a giga though). I only have 2 concerns, 1) I know much of the area in that strip of land is very swampy, and not ideal for a coaster. 2) That thin strip of land is 100ft wide max, which isn't impossible to have track that travels both out and back, but it is a tight squeeze. Overall, my money is on a free spin, with some overall redevelopment of that area. Best case scenario would be a RMC with a similar footprint to Goliath. I really doubt SF would spend the $20-$25M on a giga, though.
-
I think an RMC by the lake, especially with brown track like Outlaw Run, would look beautiful by the lake. I can envision an inverting stall like Goliath's being the perfect photo op along that lake. However, it is a very, very thin portion of land. Unless they rip up that entire pathway, I just can't see an RMC running along the lake. I know there is that penninsula near Fort Independence that could give them a lot more space, but I am not sure if it is too swampy to build anything major on. A bigger/more expanded free spin isn't my first choice, but it does fit that strip of land and would definitely add to the lineup's variety.
-
One thing that is very odd to me is that Old Country was marked up as well, with surveying and markings stretching over by the water tower. The new fenced pathway in Old Country/removal of Musik Express as well as the closed Fort Independence just fuel speculation for both areas. So, either these markings are HITP related or we will see some action in both areas next season. My best guess would be S&S freefly on the lakefront with a general refurbishment of Old Country.
-
Me too, however I definitely have preferences. I do think our lineup was more perfect with Chiller, though, which is why I definitely would embrace a new Premier launch . Ideally, out of the likely additions we could be seeing, I'd like to see;in order-RMC, an expanded S&S freefly, Premier, then B&M wingrider.

Goliath, FT, B:TR at SFFT and all the conversions aren't major coasters to you? They will certainly invest in major coasters, but for the foreseeable future I think a $22M investment on one ride is out of the question. I could be wrong, but I believe Tatsu was the last ride SF invested in that was that expensive.
