With FL you won't have any issues. The whole park is basically a circle, so when you get in, pick a direction and work your way around. I prefer going left initially, saving Fury for last, since it's easily the best ride there and others might seem disappointing after it. Edit: Forgot to say to do Ricochet first if you need/want the credit. Not on FL, and due to being a mouse at a CF park, runs with abysmal capacity. Kiddy Hawk and Woodstock Express are also not on FL, and I've always found standing in long lines with a bunch of kids as a lone adult to be weird, so you might want to hit these early as well. Also, don't skip on Scream Weaver. When I was last at the park they ran a pretty decent cycle, and the Schwarzkopf Enterprises are a lot more rate than the Huss models. -

As someone who just got home from a similar trip, I have a few tips: Stay at the DreamMore Resort. It's awesome, and includes basic Timesaver for each day you're going to the park. You can call them up and get a package rate as well that includes admission. You also won't need to worry about paying for Preferred Parking, since you can either ride the shuttle to the park or I believe staying on property gives you preferred parking anyway. Note that basic Timesaver does have restrictions on it - total of 5 uses, including shows, and only one use on Dragonflier and Lightning Rod (that come out of your 5 total). It is not valid at all on Big Bear "Mountain." I just spent a Friday and Saturday with beautiful weather at the park, and didn't encounter any sort of crazy waits (over an hour) except for Big Bear Mountain, which I saw peak at 90 minutes reported. Definitely try to get on LR early, but if it's down, I don't suggest sitting around waiting for it.... That said, you'll have two days. Most people will say this is more than enough time, especially with Timesaver, but LR throws a wrench into this if you're determined to get the credit. Having a second day gives you a whole second set of 10 hours to try to get on it. I basically just kept an eye on the app to see if it was open and went over there when it was. If you don't get on it, you're not missing much, IMHO. At best it's the 2nd best ride in the park, and depending on where you're seated it could be a lot further down this list. If you don't like country/religious music, you're probably not going to like any of the shows except for the bird one, which was kinda awesome. The tourist trap stuff seems exactly that...I didn't spend any time or money there. Note that there are a few credits tucked away in the small parks there (plus a bunch of mountain coasters), and a ton of cool-looking go-kart tracks, if you're into those. Don't get too excited about the Action-Park-style bungie jump towers you'll see though; they appear long decommissioned. You can DM me if you have any specific questions I didn't address. -

To add even more confusion to this, here is what I observed for people using Timesaver over the past two days (June 2nd and 3rd, 2023): -Resort guests got wristbands. -Some people had Cards contained in a clear pouch at the end of a Dollywood-branded orange lanyard. -Some people just had Cards, which the scanning grouper let the person keep. -Some people just had Cards, which the scanning grouper collected. -Some people were presenting their phone to be scanned. Clearly, the Timesaver situation is in flux LOL. -

Well, it did appear to run pretty consistently for at least the first two or three hours today. They were even running two trains, too! But again, its been closed since around 1 today. Maybe the closures are temperature-related? It did get into the mid 80s yesterday and today and that little set of LIMs at the base of the lift is always steaming something fierce. I was very happy to get my two laps on it when I first arrived to the park in the morning today. I'll save my full review for my TR, but in short: This is not the best ride in this park, in my opinion, and where it falls in the ranking will depend entirely on where you're seated. If you're in/towards the front, it'll be #2. If in the back, it's closer to #4. Not even the best RMC that I rode this week. If you don't get on it, you're not missing anything special aside from the credit. Temper your expectations. -

Currently in line for Lightning Rod, counter at about 50 minutes. Rolled back as soon as I got in line, they evacuated the train and ran 4 empty cycles, then ran like a other 4 trains with riders, then another rollback and another evacuation. Operator just announced "extended downtime" and everyone in the queue except me and one other couple bounced. Seriously, why do they not just try a re-launch after a rollback like every other launched coaster in the world? Why the whole evacuation procedure? EDIT: Saw on queue times that it was back up. Made my way over, and 20 minutes later (using Timesaver), I was lined up to be in the front row on the next train (they were only running one). Previous train dispatches, and a minute passed, and suddenly everyone in the station lets out a groan. I turn around, and there it is... The train rolled back yet again. *Sigh* 15 minutes later with zero motion, they announce "extended closure." Guess I'll try again tomorrow. At least they gave me a single use Timesaver card which is good on Lightning Rod, so with my resort band I'll have two TS opportunities on it tomorrow. -

So the trip is going well so far...no major issues and the weather has been mostly cooperative. Got to spend a good amount of time catching up with my old friend and checking out the nightlife scene in Athens. I even hit 300 coasters along the way, but you'll have to wait for the full report to find out what it was. I will say this, though: AireForce One has no business being in such a shitty little park as Fun Spot Atlanta. And I told the ride ops as much (though I did phrase it nicely LOL). @bert425, I did go to the Midtown Vortex, and of course rubbed the Phallus for good luck. The food was not as good as I remember, sadly. I'm also disappointed that they got rid of their other signature drink that came in a collectible glass...not the Skull Crusher, I already have that glass, the other one. For future reference Bert, there is a paid public parking lot on the very next block from the Midtown location, just in case you find yourself driving the next time you're in the area. I checked in to the DreamMore resort at Dollywood today, and I just have to say that this has impressed me to no end. I've recently been stepping up my hotel selection on these trips (from the cheapest possible that I won't get murdered at to mid-level hotels in the $150-$200 a night range), but this absolutely blows me away. I have not seen a facility and amenities this nice outside of Vegas or Atlantic City. Maybe there is something to this whole "Breakers or bust!" philosophy at Cedar Point? Also, this was my first time every driving down the "Tourist Strip" between the Interstate and Dollywood (I think its called the Parkway?)....and just could not stop shaking my head and laughing. It would probably take a month straight to do everything there, and I'm pretty sure you would be kicking yourself at the end of it for wasting so much time and money. I did see a couple of real credits though (not mountain coasters!), so I may have to swing back by that way on my way home on Sunday. And I saw a billboard for an actual, honest-to-Satan, Action Park-style alpine slide! ......that unfortunately costs $50 to go on since you have to buy a wristband to that resort. -

Nothing specific. Just "a relocated queue line and additional theming." They did show a concept art with slightly different moving statues in the final lift hill area. -

45 minutes is better than 3+ hours, and Maverick's FL line does dump you in station. Kings Island's FL "implementation" is better for a variety of reasons - number of rides that dump you in the station, availability on pretty much every adult ride, cost. But the fact that FL lines move quicker at KI can only be attributed to the fact that every line moves quicker at KI - they just put more emphasis on efficiency than they do at Cedar Point. Trust me, I am generally a "must have the skip the line pass or I'm not going to a park" kind of person, and spend the requisite funds to do so and expect a result. For the past several years I dropped over $1,300 for the Cedar Fair Platinum Pass plus the All-Season, All-Park FL Option. However, I expect the result that is offered...not the result that I feel I "deserve" for whatever twisted reason. In Cedar Point's case, the result that is offered is "shorter lines than the standby," and in that regard it delivers. Whatever was done in the past is irrelevant. -

You shouldn't need Fast Track on a Thursday/Friday unless you plan on doing the waterpark, which is woefully small for the demand it gets. Budget for it in case crowds are more than anticipated, though. I would definitely go on Thursday. Also, don't forget about Preview Night - with your tickets, you can get in to the park 2 hours before close on the night before your main day at the park. That is a good time to knock some things out. Either way, Fast Track or not, go to Fahrenheit first, then Wild Mouse, the Laff Track, then Wildcat. The first three have awful capacity and the third is the new hotness so will obviously be in demand (and possibly have some kinks still being worked out). If you or the family are fans of shooting dark rides, I'd also work Reese's Cupfusion somewhere in there early as well....its supposedly one of the better examples of the genre, but I've personally never seen the big deal. Also, the Chocolate World ride located outside the main gate opens an hour (maybe 2?) before the main park, so that's a good time to knock it out if you're interested. -

Just to echo everyone else's recommendations, Flying Turns first thing (but don't wait around if it's not running when you get there), then Impulse, then Haunted Mansion and Black Diamond. From there, just go around and have fun. Everyone else's suggestions for things not to miss are good. Don't skip out on the museums and "non-ride" things this park has to offer too. Edit: Oh, and don't skip Cosmotron, either! -

Thanks for the report @BitterOldHag. Sounds like they still have a ways to go to be ready for summer operations. As to Millennium's wait time with FL, that's actually kinda standard if the queue was back to the merge point. I've experienced waits like that for the past several years at times, especially if waiting for the front. I've also never experienced "urgency" of any kind by ride ops at Cedar Point (except maybe Steel Vengeance, but they have to do so to make up for the horrible locker situation) since I started park-traveling big time in 2017. Not compared to Kings Island, at least. -

No, I still think you were overreacting a few weeks ago. I just posted a possible rationale for their decision to add another early entry ride to the lineup; I would have been perfectly fine had it remained just the Boardwalk. We also clearly have different definitions of "beating up," but hey, it's cool. -

Cedar Fair has been doing something similar with their "Pass Perks" rewards program for the past few years, but the rewards were never specified like that. -

They probably realized that the Boardwalk area wasn't enough for the early entry people to all be accommodated, since they give everyone and their grandmother early entry these days. Still, I'll take it over the experience I had at BGT in December of 2021 when like two rides opened with the park at 10, a few more at 11, and the rest at noon. -

Only the very back of the very last car of the train would have to hit 500 to get a "legitimate" record, and if they put (presumably) LIMs the whole way up the spike, they could even move the train up there (at a decent pace, like Maverick's "lift hill") before releasing, then boosting on the old launch track. Either way, it will be a smashing success for the park but I have to imagine a disappointment for fans of the rush of acceleration of the original (like me). -

How do they waste time on existing coasters at CP when every single one has individual row lines that get filled as soon as the previous train dispatches? They ask for single riders while the next train is pulling into the station. If you were talking specifically about operations on Wild Mouse, which has been open to the public what, 2 days? 4 days? then yeah they might need some time to figure a good system out. A single rider line would not solve these issues though, since by your own admission it's not a coaster for enthusiasts, and enthusiasts are the only people who go to parks alone. Seriously, for someone who goes to the park "15 times a year," I think you'd notice how things operate a little better.
