  1. The text I quoted was directly from CW's website; stating that Canada's Wonderland Platinum Passes would be valid at all Cedar Fair parks through "Labour" Day 2022.
  2. I've never been asked to sit with a stranger on an Enterprise.
  3. "2020 Canada’s Wonderland Platinum Passes will be valid at all Cedar Fair parks through to Labour Day 2022." Wow, guess there's another benefit to buying through CW's site LOL.
  4. You're thinking of another park. KI's site says masks are required indoors and outdoors "when social distancing isn't possible." Given the CDC's ever-changing guidance as to what counts as "social distancing," I'd say the people in the photos are good.
  5. Depends what time you get there. If you're there right around opening, you'll be able to park close enough that it's not worth it. If you're coming at 3-4 in the afternoon, yeah you'd want it.
  6. God damnnit don't scare me like that! It's still on the map, just not labelled (Woodstock Express is also not labelled), and it's still showing in the Rides page. I plan on swinging by the park on my way back from KI this Sunday, I'll let you know.
  7. Welcome to American Dream NJ, where all logic goes straight out the window.
  8. I paid $60 for my Six Flags pass last November, that gets me in every SF amusement and water park in the country, with parking, that was valid for the remainder of 2020 and all of 2021. What you're describing isn't that far fetched.
  9. The system let me make a second reservation with a Platinum Pass, so I'd imagine you'd be good with a Gold one. Edit: Please note, that if you're unfamiliar with the ticketing software CF uses, you will need to make three separate transactions for this purchase - One for the pass, and then one each for the reservations. You need to complete the pass transaction first to get the pass number to input in the to reservation system.. Then, if you try to add two reservations to a single transaction, the system will tell you that you can't. It makes no sense but it is what it is. If you go the Daily Tickets route, no separate reservation is required.
  10. Are you talking about the 4-Visit Wild Pass? Don't forget, you can split it up to be two rides wristbands and two waterpark bands, so if you're coming down for a weekend, you could use both rides- and water-parks both days and have nothing left.
  11. For those desperate for details, I'll be going next weekend and will be sure to provide a comprehensive report.
  12. Alright, back home from the weekend in Wildwood, and time to wrap up this TR. First things first, @Zand, I did ask at Guest Relations and it is true - daily wristbands for rides are not happening this year. Your options are a ticket card, which I have, or season pass. Second things first, my reason for being here...the annual Spring Car Show! Unfortunately, due to COVID, neither the Spring nor Fall car shows happened last year, and doubly unfortunately, this years turn out was abysmal. Despite allowing in any-age cars (typically the spring show is limited to 10 years old or older; the fall to 25 years old or older), there was maybe 50 cars. Typically, it spans the entire length of the boardwalk....from the steps down to Wildwood Crest all the way to the north end where the boardwalk goes to ground level in North Wildwood. That said, there weren't that many cars that appealed to me, except... This nice 2nd generation Chevy Corvair: And this, JDM-import, right-hand-drive, Fairlady Z (83-85). The US got these as well, but not with the 2.0L motor, no turbocharged engines on the 2+2 models, nor were US models available as hardtops. Very nice indeed. Anyway, on to what you all really care about: Morey's Piers. This was opening weekend for them, and the only pier open was Mariner's (the one with Sea Serpent and the Ferris Wheel). They opened right on time (noon), but seemed to be having some trouble getting Sea Serpent going, and weren't sending it with riders even by 12:45. So, I decided to go back to my hotel and take a nap, and headed back to the boardwalk around 8. This time, it was a go...and here's where the queue was backed up to upon my arrival: Eeesh...I've never waited this long for it in all my years coming here. 15 minutes later (they were still skipping rows), I was on. Oh well, it's got new trains with vest restraints, and magnetic breaks, so how is it? Even better than before! This boomerang has always been the best of them all that I've been on, and these trains just make it all that much better. Easily #2 coaster in the Wildwoods. I didn't go on anything else, but did wander around taking some more pictures. Musik Express' light package was looking a little worse for wear, but they were still running it at max speed. VID_20210508_203038486.mp4 Same kinda situation with the light package on the Ferris Wheel and Moby Dick. Nope, no headache for me tonight, thanks. Farewell, my ever-cherished smoking zone. Drunken days at PigDog this summer will not be the same. At least the bumper cars got some some new cool LED strips on the power poles: VID_20210508_203605191.mp4 So long for now, Morey's! (Yes the fluorescent tube around the M was out). In other saddening Wildwood news, from speaking with the bartender and other customers at Jersey Girl, it would appear that both Shamrock and Cattle n' Clover (the latter of which was probably my favorite bar in Wildwood proper), have gone awry of the Governor's COVID restrictions are are not being allowed to operate all summer. Wow. I hope that isn't true, and if so they can make some kind of appeal process. I don't know how a restaurant/bar could handle being closed for basically two consecutive summers. I didn't make it up to North Wildwood to check out the scenes at Keenan's, Angelesea Pub, or Flip Flopz, but did stop in Good Night Irene's for a few tasty adult beverages and they were as hopping as could be. On another note, anyone wanna buy a beat up old strip club (Hurricane Bikini Club, on Schellenger, also still closed)? Only $850k, including the liquor license, which is probably 85% of that price. EDIT: Totally forgot the ride counter: 1x Sea Serpent 1x Slices of Mack's Pizza 1x Cup of Kohr's Bros Orange Custard (with rainbow sprinkles!) 4x White Russians @ Jersey Girl 2x Cherry Vodka RedBulls @ Good Night Irene's. 1x Cheesesteak at White House Sub Shop in Atlantic City on the way home.
  13. Yeah, it's viable in the long term. Drive-Through Safari was the name of the game for the first 40 years of its existence.
  14. Doesn't look like it; I see ticket cards and season passes only.
  15. Down in Wildwood for Spring Car Show weekened....hopefully it doesn't become a complete wash out haha. Anyway, Morey's is scheduled to open Mariner's Pier tomorrow, but I did get to see them testing Sea Serpent on my stroll of the boardwalk earlier. Some early pictures... I'm not sure how disassembled these Go-Karts (behind the aquarium, across the boards from Splash Zone water park) normally get the during the off season, but this looks kinda like they won't be opening this year. Sadly it does not appear that Flow House, and their awesome bar, will be open this weekend... ...But Crazy Randy's retro arcade and Fascination was up and running! More to come!
  16. Original post updated - The big trip at the end of June has been modified to include a full day at Holiday World!
  17. I just don't get it. Six Flags says, flat out, "15 rides will be closed/removed from parks as a cost-savings measure," and then everyone clamors about how they're going to spend more than zero dollars to relocate-old/install-new rides at parks that generally, during normal, non-pandemic, times, don't see substantial investment. It's like the world has lost its mind.
  18. They normally park trains there. Don't read anything into it. As Bill said, Ka will never launch a train with passengers while Zu's cars are anywhere other than the station.
  19. This Saturday the 8th? It's pass-holders only so not likely to be too bad. Next Saturday the 15th? Weather Channel is calling for 73 degrees and partly cloudy. I'd say it'll probably be a mess, between new employees, early-season bugs, crowds of people eager to get out and do something now that they're vaccinated, perfect amusement park weather....yeah, likely a mess. Better splurge for that FL+. I'll be there the evening of the 14th and all day on the 15th myself, but I've got a Platinum Pass with the All-Season FL+ so I'm not worried.
  20. A nice touch. I guess the wooden block-style logos that made up the originals would've been too much (and a return to buzz-bars and skid brakes, LOL), but still a nice touch. Nostalgia is always good.
  21. @thrillseeker4552I've only ever been to the park once, but my similar experience as a first-time may be helpful to you. Going on weekdays will definitely be to your advantage, like I did...granted mine was in the middle of February when I'm sure the park was less busy, but that still helps. 1. I would recommend hitting Cheetah Chase early in the day, especially if you won't have Quick-Queue. I can't comment on Cobra's Curse since I skipped it (I can't stomach spinning coasters), but Cheetah was one of the few places that the QQ actually helped. From there, I'd recommend Sand Serpent (since it's a Wild Mouse it doesn't have the best capacity), Tigris, and Falcon's Fury as other lower-capacity rides. I'd also try to hit the flume earlier in the day before it gets too hot, and the rapids if they're your thing. 2. Whatever you do, print out the park map before you go. When I went, there were no printed maps available at the park and their app's map is HORRIBLE. You will need it, because I found the layout very confusing. All of the foliage makes things harder to see and can make navigating a pain; there are also a couple of paths to get from A to B where one is much longer than the other. 3. I didn't take in any actual animal shows, but there should be plenty available. Even without them, you can see a lot just wandering around. The train ride also provides good views of animals on one of the routes (can't remember which one, I wanna say it's if you get on at the Nairobi station). 4. Do not skip the pretzels from Twisted Tails Pretzels (near Scorpion and Falcon's Fury). Sweet, buttery goodness. 5. With two full days, you should have plenty of time to do everything, even if crowds are pretty bad. While some of the rides here are truly awesome and should not be skipped (Kumba, Cheetah, Scorpion, Falcon's Fury*), there really aren't a LOT of rides. *Probably Montu too, but it was broken while I was there.
  22. You might be right about that. Do these passes expire a year after purchase, or first activation, or are they tied to a calendar year like SF/CF passes? And I'm correct to assume that a pass purchased in Florida is only valid at the Florida parks, right? I could probably swing two trips in the span of a year. From OrlandoInsider, it appears that crowds are very light the first two weeks of December...might be worth another trip down to Florida for that, and hopefully IG and Icebreaker.
  23. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you and all the "little things" the park is doing. They can definitely improve a day. Just the way it was being hyped and all "Don't wanna spoil it," I was expecting something bigger, like what I'm about to respond to @Danrarbcabout. It's not even about new rides...personally, if I frequented any SF park, I'd be clamoring for them to do something about the horrific food service experiences before any kind of prettying up of the park. But maybe that's just me.
  24. LOL. The Batmobile is coming back, that's it. I was expecting them running the train backwards or something. You guys are desperate for anything, aren't you?
  25. Looks awesome, like a blend of Maverick and I305. Unfortunately I'll probably never ride it, since I can't justify the cost of Universal tickets for what I'm interested in, but yeah, looking really good. Glad you locals get to experience it!
