1968 - 1980 Astroworld's unique double ferris wheel was an Intamin prototype, it featured dual loading of eight cages per arm. The Astrowheel served as a park landmark in its formulative years. The Looping Starship currently resides on its grounds. That is from Astroworld's Tribute Site. Ethel as they called her must have been a fun ride!
