Astroworld's unique double ferris wheel was an Intamin prototype, it featured dual loading of eight cages per arm. The Astrowheel served as a park landmark in its formulative years. The Looping Starship currently resides on its grounds.
That is from Astroworld's Tribute Site. Ethel as they called her must have been a fun ride! The whole area became darker when they took her out.

I just went to an Indoor Precussion tournament today. And EDW Catholic High School won! They were so good! They also had a guy named Jeff Prosperie. He acually went to EDW.Here is a video of Jeff:

What's going to happen to the X's old trains? Will they be used for parts or the Sky Tower museum? Or will they be used on other 4-D coasters, or will they get scrapped?
