I just checked this out. Overall, my first impression was pretty good. You did a great job of capturing that 80's style Arrow looper. I also loved the ride's position over the pond and isolated by the trees. Your supports could use some more work in the latter half of the ride. One of them sticks right into the track. As far as the layout, the transitions were pretty bumpy, but I guess that's to be expected on and old Arrow like that. Nice work. 7/10!

On Wednesday, my family will drive out to Reno, NV to visit my cousin who lives there. My grandparents and another one of my cousins are also coming. We will be having Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel we're staying at since my cousin doesn't have room for us in her apartment.

It would be helpful if you could provide us with a list of what you already have so we don't suggest something you already have. Ha, just kidding...I say go for Fahrenheit or one of the coasters new for 2008! Looks like I'll be going on a Boomerang or SLC for my 100th next summer.

I also set the mechanic to patrol outside the ride's exit so he is nearby when the "call" comes in. Another thing that works good is to put break segments right before the station to slow the train down to a speed that won't destroy it. Keep in mind it's only a station breaks failure - not a total failure.

I had about $300 when I started saving up this summer. I get $10 in an allowance which i put toward the trip fund. Basically, I cut all unnecessary expenses in my life for this. No movies, no iphone, etc. As of now, I have about $500 saved for the next payment due next year. For Christmas, I am asking for money only to go towards this trip. I'm expecting to get a significant amount from my grandparents; who are always there for financial support in my family. With that in store I will most likely get more for my 18th birthday in May. In the mean time, I have a "job" by helping my dad with some hard physical labor. Long story short, I get $10 and hour to go under our house (very low clearance) and dig out for foundation repair, and to fix the problem with the smell coming out from under. But it will be worth it when August comes around!

I'm guessing just bad luck. A series of events (inspections, previous breakdowns) would cause this problem - not a curse on the file.

My record is 13 times on Medusa (SFDK) back in August 2001. Nice!

It's about time they gave that some new paint! Boomerang could also use a new coat of paint. That ride has looked terrible for years. EDIT: Remember how SFAW painted at least 3 of their coasters and closed down the following year?

^ I believe that is what was already posted. I highly doubt they would remove Colossus as it is one of the icon rides of the park. STE, well I can see them removing that, but with the costs of removal and considering how large it is at the park, they would most likely leave it just semi-operational. I can also see them selling part of the park, but not much. What I mean by this is the former site of Psyclone, the junk yard, and possibly Deja Vu. I doubt they would close off the path leading up past Roaring Rapids as by doing so it would cut off circulation to the park. Back to the subject of ride removal, the only logical removal I can see would be of Scream because it is built on level ground which would allow for relocation and is not a signature ride of the park. As already said, SFMM will never become the next DLR for families. They should market to families but nto devote all their attention to them. I agree they could use more flats instead of world class coasters, but eliminating coasters for this not the answer and would only reduce park attendance. Hopefully when Flashback goes down, the park can use it's space wisely for improvement. IMO that would make a nice re-route of the HH entrance area and for a flat like a Top Spin or something. The answer is not to remove flats. The few that they have are great (Spin Out and Freefall are awesome disappearing classics!). More kiddie areas are not the answer! TT will go good with Bugs Bunny World. If they were to get a third one, it better not come at the expense of any coasters or other good rides. About the old structures throughout the park, they should just leave them standing until they will replace them. Or better yet, find some way to utilize them in the park. For example, the old Eagle's Flight station up near Ninja could house a small flat. As could the lower Dragon station. It would also be a freebie for theming around it too. For Metro, I heard from someone who works in the maintenance department that new trains are supposedly on order for it. We will just have to wait and see if this is true. As for the future of the park, X2 will make a brand new start for the thrill seekers as TT comes in.

Good for having the incentive to lose weight. Here's a suggestion. Don't use Orient Express to get to the top at SFMM. Or better yet, hike to the back of the park and then up the hill by Spin Out like during Tatsu construction.

Unless the coaster is dangerous (like that death TOGO in Japan) or a coaster as crappy as Psyclone was from what I heard, they should all be given a chance. If worst comes to worst, they could always use it as a parts donor instead of destroying it. Heck, any coaster being removed and not to be rebuilt should be used as spare parts if possible. I believe the reason we don't see so many relocated wooden coasters is because how much harder they are to take down and re assemble compared to steel coasters. Just wondering, does anyone have any photo updates on the park demolition since the last one?

This topic always comes up every few months, and since I'm a fan of all the FD movies I'll contribute now. I have made a recreation of "Devil's Flight" in NL (NOT Corkscrew). If I ever get around to modeling the station for it, then I might include that. If not, I'll just post the track design.

I don't go out of my way for credits. If I'm at a park where I can get a credit on a kiddie coaster that doesn't require me to accompany a child, I will go on it. I may try to hit up these kiddie credits at parks I will visit next year.
