Kraken613 Design Firm (RCT3)

The hyper looks great! Some of the transitions seem sorta iffy though. How many laterals does it pull? -
1. The most useful thing about the front page is the front page itself. It helps me stay up on all the major events and announcements. 2. Nothing. 3. Nothing. 4. Not very far unless i think I missed something important or am just looking for past updates I need to see again. 5. I have the front page bookmarked, so everytime I get on, I see it. 6. I've maybe clicked on it once or twice to see things that are no longer on the main page. 7. There's nothing more I'd really add except maybe a place to log in on the front page instead of having to go to the forums first. 8. I think the front page is pretty much fine as it is.

Cool, the interlocking inclines look insane. Can't wait to see the finished product. -

Cool, nice design. Ten guesses what coaster inspired this one, cough*Afterburn*cough. -
Best WDW restaurant w/ Dining plan
Pufferfish replied to emmanuel_10583's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The smaller restaurant inside the Wilderness lodge is really good. The waiters/waitresses are very fun, the food is great, and it only costs one meal credit on the meal plan. The 50s Prime Time cafe is another really good one. I always make a point to eat there when I'm at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's also just one meal credit on the meal plan. -

Cool design. It feels a little stereotypical though. I definitely wouldn't mind having it though, looks like a good peep drawer. -

Nice coaster, very interesting layout. Nicely themed as well. I say make the next one a dive machine. -

Carowinds Opening Day Trip Report

I don't know why you hate Vortex. It's one of the best B&M Stand-ups. I really like it and find it smooth and fun. It could only suck if you stand wrong or don't lean into the turns. -
AIR-Flying Coaster

Wow, that looks pretty good. It's a little too spaced out for me though. Maybe with some extra theming in the center it would look better. Otherwise it looks really good. -
It depends on when your last trip here was, last year not a single water element was working correctly except for one cannon. The waterfalls and hoses had been disabled/removed several years ago.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Pufferfish replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
While waiting to get my pass processed at carowinds this morning i was in line behind one of the most gp kids ive ever heard in person. He was so excited to get to go on Nighthawk and nobody told him the name had changed. He was saying to his mother, "I can't wait to ride cyborg, its so cool!" His mom then pointed out to him that it was testing and he said, "That's not Cyborg, cyborg has a big ball thing in the middle of it." -
Carowinds 2008 Season Opening Day pics!

Hey, I was there today as well. Did you see me? I was wearing my TPR hoodie. How did you get those good pictures of Thunder? I have my TR posted here. -
Well, this was a great day at Carowinds, not the best, but still good. I met with coasterguy99 today and he took a few pictures too. Now, on to the TR. The crowds were heavy but most of it was little kids and their parents. There has been a lot of small changes in the park. There are some changes that I didn't take pictures of. These are that Rocket Power Big Air got a new paintjob, and there is now a large hole cut out in Goldrusher's supports. Let the rumors of a new coaster begin! I'll let the pictures talk next as most of you have probably stopped reading this already. I end this TR with CF's last minute decision and Carowinds' newest*cough, oldest, cough* flat ride. I think it's actually funny. We complain about wanting the waveswinger back, we get a Chance YoYo. The signs for te different side have been removed. CF, please reconsider. I really liked riding backwards. Sorry for the crappy quality, I had to zoom to get a good picture. Goldrusher has new catwalks. They really stick out like a sore thumb against the old wood of the supports. Saturater, AKA waste of space, has a shiny new paint job. Now can we get one for Nighthawk? Nothing different here, still the same, great standup. In the morning I was amazed, they were actually able to depart trains fairly quickly. It normally takes about 30 minutes to get everyone situated. Hurler's new red train. After I took this picture, one row's restraints failed. Didn't take too long. Hurler was actually smooth for once, I only almost broke my ribs once. They retracked the fanturn which helped a lot Another ride without a name. Why do they have to change it to Drop Tower? That's just too generic for me. What the? I thought it was Afterburn! CF lied to us. Saw this on the side of the station. Yum, batwing. Such a beautiful piece of twisted B&M steel. Wee! Not many people have this picture. I'm amazed my little camera could catch it this well. Afterburn, through the trees!(I had to do it) Anyways, I'm amazed it currently has no sign at all. I hope this doesn't mean that flight deck could pop back up. The Borg ball is gone now. It looks weird that the footers are still there. It also looks very vacant there now. Hmm, looks like the next thing to repair. I guess the Vekoma shaking has been causing self damage. Nighthawk's new signage. Looks like they just copied some other coaster's sign and just changed the wording. It is sort of cool. Didn't ride it today though, the line was about an hour long all day and I wasn't wanting a headache. Nothing different here. I really like the entry plaza, it's just visually appealing. First thing I had to do was get my season pass processed. This is the nightmare of a line I had to wait in to get it done, but it's worth it. The line is actually longer than you see in this picture. There was additional queue inside the building. First change I noticed while walking into the park. They have now finally gotten rid of the walk with all the paramount movies listed. Yay, I'm here! I like the new entry sign. It actually looks better than the old one.

^ You do get Airtime on it. It's just that it is hard to tell from all the Jackhammering. If it was smoother, it would actually be a decent woodie. -
If you owned your home park (s)...
Pufferfish replied to Tanks4me05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If I owned Carowinds... *I would tear down Hurler and replace it with an Intamin Prefab Woodie(Balder clone). *I would put in an Intamin Rocket and a B&M Hyper. *I would also put in some good flats like an S&S Screamin' Swing, a Top Spin, and a Frisbee. *I would re-build Drop Zone, making it taller and quieter. *Last but not least, I would give Nighthawk a new paint job. -
I just saw Horton Hears a Who. It was very good, probably the best family movie this year. It had a great cast and held close to the original storyline in the book. I really liked it while some parts were slightly stupid. 9/10

It did earlier today. Some severe storms with tornado warnings. Have you ever had to write over 20 essays for one class at school?(I have)

Carowinds Discussion Thread
Pufferfish replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've really appreciated living about 20 minutes of Carowinds. I've had a season pass almost every single year of my life. It's a good park, but it does need something new in the way of a coaster. I can't really see a hyper here though as it would stick out too much from the rest of the skyline. I can mostly see an Intamin rocket much like Rita. Really we also need more flats. -
How many hours of sleep did you get last night?
Pufferfish replied to DBru's topic in Random, Random, Random
I got about 5 hours last night. Day light savings time really throws me off.
