  1. Did anyone see any pictures anywhere from this past weekend? Mike
  2. Now that Voodoo has been completed I ran out to snap some photos. The ride looks really great! Mike
  3. It looked like Voodoo was topped off today, at least from the webcam. Here are some pictures from yesterday when the final two or so track pieces were missing. Mike
  4. ^ I thought it was in one of the last TRP's Magic Mountain updates that they won't do a wooden coaster anytime soon? Maybe I was dreaming that? That launched XCar thing looks pretty fun! Mike
  5. Voodoo's holding brake spike is now completed - they were working on adding the holding brakes today. The ride's height is pretty impressive when you're seeing it in person. Here's more photos. Mike OMG!!!11 it's taller than Steel Force!!!111 (jk)
  6. I'm personally very happy that they're using the station from Geauga Lake. It's much more open than other Impulse stations in the Cedar Fair chain. Also, Dorney has swapped out the messy grid that was on front of the station for a much cleaner look - another improvement IMO. Mike
  7. They're moving pretty fast with the construction this week. The 'straight' tower is a little more than half done at this point. Mike
  8. They're saying that whatever it is it'll be a 'worlds first' - now I know that places twist things for marketing so who knows if it really will be the first of its kind. I just hope it's not really lame and they created all the excitement for nothing! Mike
  9. They were pretty busy with adding track and supports to Voodoo this past week. The station is now going up as well. Here's a photos of what's up so far: The station is the same one from Geauga Lake.
  10. ^ Behemoth has the same color scheme as Talon at Dorney Park. Mantis has red in the track, while Talon and Behemoth have orange. Both color schemes are some of my favs, though! Mike
  11. ^ That's what happened while the ride was at Dorney, also. In the last couple years it was really cheap to take a spin. I remember back when it opened they wanted like $20 (or more? can't remember exactly) to ride and no one did. That's when the price cutting started. Mike
  12. Yeppers, it'll launch toward Laser and that'll be the twisted spike. Mike
  13. With the ride having gone vertical I took a spin out to get some pics. They have the track and supports up for the station area, and the electric building looks structurally complete. Mike
  14. These photos are sad, but [here are some of the aftermath of the fire. Such a shame! Mike
  15. Anyone know which two piers that Morey's coaster is going to run between? Mike
  16. Maybe it's nothing but I'm having problems getting Great America's site to load correctly, perhaps they are having problems? Mike
  17. Phantom could have been cool ... I'm thinking dark purple, black, maybe some blues ... but I've got to ask - Stiletto? What's with that!? Mike
  18. That was awesome - thanks for taking the time to post that! My dream is to have a site/reference guide that contains stuff just like that - I just put up the press kits for Steel Force, Mamba, and Wild Thing very similarly to the way you did! Everyone clean out your attics! Mike
  19. Thanks for the photos! I had no idea that Al-Sha'ab Leisure Park moved the Spiral Coaster from Korea. That's such an interesting ride - I see that rcdb now lists it as SBNO. Anyway, thanks again the photos of rides that are hard to come by! Mike
  20. Thanks for the update - I noticed the banners on the webcam today. Any idea what the wave swinger is going to be themed to? Or the other rides for that matter? Mike

  22. I must be weird - I *loved* Chang when it was all yellow. It was so striking. Mike
  23. I subscribed to First Drop for a number of years and when they would publish layouts and such like that they would have an amazing accuracy rate. Looks like a great ride for Kings Island. Long live Cedar Fair's addition of Hypers! Mike
  24. Dorney launched their new website for Voodoo today - check it out. Mike
