  1. But what about the hippos? Some-one please think of the hippos
  2. I always like the Asian services when it comes to taking care of your stuff or parking the strollers for you, I was always a fan of Lotte Worlds valet service on Atlantis when they wheel the trolley over for you to put your stuff in and then wheel it over when you get out, I understand wheeling it over when you board makes for faster loading since people don't have to walk over and shelve it but I always find it amusing when I disembark and something that is only 5 steps away is wheeled over to me.
  3. Sadly there has been a donkey death, the status "Beware of the Magic Donkey at Lotte World" may need to have a new donkey found , the donkey wasn't there at the start of this year but they had a few art paintings and sculptures so I hoped it was temporary but I managed to go last weekend and the same boring apple sculpture was still there whereas all the others had now gone so i'm pretty sure he's been put down. I preferred the donkey. This apple doesn't shit anything interesting
  4. Although I have a PC I was also curious if the second fundraiser would be added to the total for the stretch goals. the second fundraiser has been running for a while so 30,000 more seems feasible.
  5. Are there that many rides that launch first then have a lift hill half way through out there as opposed to lift hill first then launch and pretty much keeping the momentum going? So far all I could think of was Takabisha, Powder Keg and Atlantis Adventure but i'm sure there must be many more out there.
  6. Same. There is a park in England that could of used a similar concept. Haha I think it would probably make nearly all the Uk coasters better if they upgraded to that concept
  7. I got a car unlocked on Dodonpa for a tissue stuffed in the bottom of my pockets that I didn't even notice was there when I emptied my pockets they were definately extremely thorough on what goes in the lockers. I couldn't help thinking that if by some miraculous chance it did come out the very bottom of my pocket, the chances of it even coming down to the ground and hurting someone were practically 0.
  8. What about the flats, are they normally busy too? Even the Star-Flyer,I got on after one cycle and the mouse only had a 10 minute wait which was strange since all the other coasters were pretty busy, Eejenaka had an hour line, Takashiba and the hamster coaster were 90 mins, Fujiyama 2 hours (due to randomly deciding to remove the second train when the line dipped down to just 1 hour and Dodonpa was 3-4 hours most of the day, maybe I just got lucky on the day with the flat rides. And those kinda weird run around and stamp your card rides were empty. Hopefully they made Eejenaka pretty again, It had a rehab a few weeks after I left but the trains were missing a lot of covers and it looked a little strange going around the track with half the covers missing
  9. Does Dodonpa tend to be the busiest? I jumped in that line first purely because it opened soonest (it didn't open on time though) and eejenaka and takashiba already had pretty healthy lines waiting for it to open an hour before the opening times and whereas most coasters stayed between 1-2 hour lines all day dodonpa had a 3 and a half hour line for the rest of the day (although the hamster coaster and rapids line was bigger than eejenaka the day I went, it seemed to be the main ride for teenage couples)
  10. I thought I was prepared for this ride after I rode TTD but boy was I wrong, TTD feels gradual compared to Dodonpa, It felt like I was being shot out of a cannon!
  11. Wow really? I never saw that when I went but I went in a cold february but i'd have been tempted to do it, the lines were all huge the day I visited, do they only run it during the summer? Do they lower the water levels during the winter for wet rides because both jurassic park at USJ and splash mountain I came off bone-dry (although I got my pants soaked on Jaws in the boat shed sitting in the back right)
  12. The Aquatopia thing you keep referencing is really intriguing me. Just what in the hell is their purpose. Is it a ride that follows a track and if so what all do you actually see/experience while on it? I am thinking of the boats in the little lagoon at Dutch Wonderland.....Dragon's Lair. Here's the TPR video of Aquatopia. It's a trackless ride I think, like Pooh's Hunny Hunt, just as a water ride. Comapring it to Robb's new video today, I feel like you can see the routes the cars follow much more clearly than you used to, when I went last February you could see the route clearly the same as the newvideo so I'd assumed it always looked like that but looking at the 2 videos 1 after the other it just looks different..... It's still a really fun random ride though.
  13. Lotte World seemed really quiet in the morning and picked up later in the afternoon, same as most weekdays.
  14. I kept thinking I can't wait to see a TPR quality POV of this and then realized I was thinking it 2 years later than everyone else
  15. I've never seen the show but does that island float in the sky on the show? I was just wondering if they were going for the floating tap look with that pole like i've seen in some water parks
  16. I'm guessing by the TR that you have a great relationship with Cosmoworld so do they set you up with special use of the park? I ask because when I visited I could only find pay to ride options and no options to pay for unlimited access/wristband options like the other parks had so I had to miss out on some of the dark rides and sky-lab since after the vanishing coaster, log flume spinning coaster and ferris-wheel I'd used up all my tickets.
  17. Seems it's time to start submitting your kickstarter requests.
  18. Man I miss the Japanese skippers, on one of my ride's we had a lady whose voice was so high pitched i thought she must have literally stepped out of a Japanese anime, right up until the shark showed up in which case she'd switch into the deepest terminator style voice i've ever heard. I badly wanted to get pictures or a video clip but when I visited they were really strict about no photos or videos on the ride, I wanted a picture of the most amazing skipper I had out of all my rides.
  19. Is there a separate line for the backwards train or do you decide once you get closer to the station? I just wondered how it works if only one train is backwards and all the others are forwards since i'd imagine the limited time backwards ride would be extremely popular
  20. I feel like this free-fall tower and the whole Alton couldn't put in a launch because it's too much electricity is you trying to pass off your own personal thoughts and opinions as concrete facts....... You've given no sources to back up your claims but you seem intent on claiming what you are saying is 100% fact, just a lot of they don't do this (run it to to the top of the tower/have this kind in the UK) and that's the reason which is just a bunch of hypotheses. Counter Point: If Six Flags Magic Mountain are running Superman at less than full power to save on electricity costs why would they install another launched coaster right next door as opposed to an intamin cable launch or something like a B&M wing coaster?
  21. The ride-ops on this were world class, I'm glad to see one park still has it. Although as much as i'm glad they have a back to the future ride still just for the amazing gift-shop full of amazing BTTF crap the rides got even more anti-climactic when the date in the car jumps only 2 years into the future as you ride.
  22. But isn't that the same harbour where they store for fantasmic too? Which isn't being removed anytime soon
  23. Out of interest when you say Sky-jump in macau was that the freefall cable or the actual bungee jump? I keep trying to talk myself into the bungee jump since i've done a few bungees before and a solo sky-dive but theres just something about watching those you-tube videos thats making my body go hell-no. Sorry I know i'm jumping ahead on your TR's but just planning a few days in Hong Kong and trying to talk myself into it so another persons thought on it would be great.
  24. There's an error for seoul land, the big wheel is actually a part of childrens grand park.... I think. The whole park is down for refurbishment until march 2014 so I'm not sure what will have changed it's not on the map but since it's a very rough proposed sketch who knows. I'll try and get out and check it out a little after the grand re-opening when the lines have died down, seems they got a gyro-swing at some point which seems interesting considering Lotte worlds one is only a 30 minute subway away. I'll also try and grab Everlands new ride in the summer if time permits it.
  25. Thanks. I still have quite a few PTRs to review from you and others, I've been quite busy preparing to embark on a new career, but I'll get to those Photo TR submissions soon. Ok I wasn't sure since I didn't click submit to park index since it wasn't a real TR just a quick update when I visited, should i click submit to park index even when they aren't full updates? Sorry if i double sent any of the japan ones i ended up doing those updates late at night and could never remember if I did or not.
