  1. Busch are getting some great press coverage on this whole section of the park! They're doing a great job marketing it.
  2. I hate being so far away from so many awesome looking coasters.
  3. This ride will be missed. I'm not 100% surprised it closed. Every time I've gone, it was like ERT. This coaster will forever be one of my top woodies. Long live in my heart DBH. RIP. <3 This was also my first time doing a POV.. (Not the best one in the world, but I like it)
  4. It's been at or around $20 in the Orlando area for a few years now. It's all becoming normal to me. I get so excited when I see a place only charge $12. (Do they exist anymore though?) The prices are only going to get more expensive in years to come too, so if you wanna complain now, be prepared to keep on complaining. I bet within a couple years, Disney/Universal will be at least $25 for parking. That's why it's so worth the money to get the season passes that include parking.
  5. I disagree, I think the point of these releases is to build up buzz around their new coaster. It gets the community talking and interacting with the park. It's brilliant Marketing ploy if you ask me. Hershey has done a great job in the past years with interacting with fans. I give them a lot of credit for what they do within the coaster communities.
  6. ^I didn't mean like Disney/Universal Studios theme. I simply ment where it's going to stand. Most coasters do have a theme, whether there is a storyline and sets behind it or not. There's (normally) a reason behind a name, and I think we're seeing it emerge with this website teaser.
  7. Ok, someone piggyback off me here. These are my thoughts on the website: 1) I think we're seeing something a little more than just a typical coaster. They're research studies point to gravity manipulation, propulsion, ect. 2) http://www.rideinstitute.com/about.php Their staff list have two people that are theatre people/performers, one person who is an expert at parachuting, and another who . The musical side of this has my interest. Why music? 3) And this makes me chuckle: What are you up to RIT? Seriously! This is driving me bat crazy! I'll think we'll see more throughout the end of this month and into May, as the PDF's open up.
  8. Regardless of it being Intamin or B&M; it being 212 feet or 512 feet; or an Aquatrax or Megalite, I am most curious to see what this theme is going to pop out to be. I really appreciate it when parks market their coasters to the coaster community before the actual announcement. It builds up interest and generates buzz. From a Marketing viewpoint, pretty brilliant (just as long as you don't over hype something *coughThirteencough*.) I like this RIT theme they're building. To me, it sounds like they're going for an engineering educational ploy, which begs the question what will the actual ride be themed to? I'm wondering if it's proximity to the Comet is going to have to do with anything, and wondering what the purpose of the website is. I bet there are A LOT of clues on the website that we're just not looking into. Or like this new news piece Prince Desmond anyone? Yet at the same time, they had a press release denying any media/viral marketing campaign. The whole site is WAY more fascinating to me. I hate blue print debates. Let's focus on what the heck this is all about! TPR obviously got chosen to help crack this code for a reason. Let's figure it out guys! Edit: I also wonder if there are going to be any launches to this thing:
  9. I think everyone is getting off track here......
  10. It's like when someone starts to tell you something and then says "oh nevermind" "Now you gotta tell me!" I HATE THAT.
  11. Are they sets of years? Like 2012, 20??, and 2036? Is there a comet that comes around in those years?
  12. I just want to give a big thank you to Robb, Elissa, and everyone who works so hard on everything for Club TPR. It takes A LOT of work getting these things organized. This is a fantastic membership that I highly recommend EVERYONE to sign up for right NOW! Take advantage of it, because there's a lot behind it. Thank you all so much for this. It's greatly appreciated! -Neil
  13. Mistakes happen more than you'd think. Normally nothing that isn't fixable, but I wouldn't say mistakes are highly unlikely. They tend to be clearance and/or heavy forces issues.
  14. Whenever I hear about these sorts of attacks, I kinda take it personally. Some of the things said in the past, weren't just at Robb, but at the people who follow the site too, claiming we're all goons and groupies. They stop at NO length. I'm sorry Robb, that people not only get at you, but the community you so carefully brought up. You know, some people just don't get it. They're like the ignorant bully who picks on other kids because their level of humor/education/communication skills/comprehension aren't on the same set. There are plenty of people online that I can't stand, but I'm not about to go to such lengths to belittle them let alone their community. If you don't like it, STFU. Don't drag everyone into your sad, broken world. Neil "Makes me want to gay-slap some b*tches" Curiel.
  15. You know, I've been visiting the park since the late 80's as a kid, and have watched it grow up tremendously. For the most part, I agree. It's lost that cutesy small park feel to it. I've learned to embrace it. I agree with the major "hits". Jungala is the neatest kids section I've seen, Scorpion is still most kid's first looping coaster (it was mine too), and animal encounter sections are just as neat as most zoos. The misses, I can't say I agree with the majority of them. They're things that the park can't control. I think the only major "Miss" the park has is their operations. While yes, they've grown up to be a big park player along with IOA, and Disney, I think it's helped the park create new opportunities you wouldn't have seen had it stayed that little park. This biggest disappointment was the loss of Anheiser Busch. (2 free beers! I miss those.) But all in all, I have to say Jim Dean and his staff are doing a pretty good job at creating an experience for their guests that is memorable and immersive.
  16. I have a serious question: Does anyone actually purchase photos from people on this site? Do companies? Is there really a need for watermark anymore? I mean with so many photos (particularly in the Orlando area) out there on the internet, is there still a market for people buying photos on this site? I'm not a photographer myself, so maybe I don't understand the need for it, but when people like invertadong go to such lengths to be so uptight about it, it makes me laugh and wonder if he really expects to make money on it? Does my question make sense? Am I asking too many questions? Should I put in another question mark?
  17. What a great addition to the park. This coaster is looking more and more awesome daily. Pat on the back for Busch Gardens. Major pat on the back.
