  1. Hi! I know there is a Fast Food thread, but I was wondering which you'd prefer out of only these two: Macdonald's or Burger King? I prefer Burger King. Just simply because I can always count on the meat being good, and the French Fries being CRISP! In all my days at Macdonald's, the fries have more than often been soggy. Anyways, what's your preference? /Edward "Alveys, please take part in this as well?"
  2. Hi! Thought I'd share with you what kind of cam I have. It isn't good for mounting, nor is it the best, but it is decent... Konica Minolta DImage Z2 38-380mm 10X Optical zoom (noisy), 4X Digital Zoom 4.0 Megapixels Rapid AF and Continuous Advance 5 hours of battery time (or so said) Max vid rez at 30fps is 640x480. 800x600 at 15fps. Max pic rez is 2272x1704. Extra-High Quality SVGA Movie. SD flash card. Movie format: Photo Motion JPEG. Compression... Um... 15min in 1GB... Format limited to 12min... I think... USB2.0 transfer only. No Firewire. Sure, not the best, but gets the job done. /Edward
  3. Hm.. Lets see if I have any worth showing... Well, there's my avatar. /Edward I'll give you a few guesses... I'm in the middle there. Me on some swings. I'm in the front. I think this was late season.
  4. So far, my fav is Lisebergbanan. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1061.htm /Edward PS. Was there the 12th, and witnessed a train being moved aside. Forgot to film it though. *and the crowd complains*
  5. I can say yes, simply because that is the only one I've been to often enough. Oh, right... A name... Um... /Edward Best park, so far... Have also been to Tivoli, and Legoland Denmark, but not enough to make a proper "review"...
  6. Right! You are officially my friend! ;p Got a picture of yourself somewhere?
  7. Just one more thing. Was anyone there today? Anyone see this dude? http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=376231#376231
  8. Hehe. Nice one. Wait.. Buchanan High School? Nice to meet a Clan memeber. ;p /Edward
  9. OK. Went to Liseberg today and got myself another picture. If anyone was there and saw this dude, please quote and say! Or give a PM... PS. Was wearing a nice colorful scarf.
  10. Btw, was there today. I now have an entrance card. If anyone is going, give a PM. Here's an exclusive vid for Robb and Elissa for when they come again. http://bleuf.org:37600/edshare/RCT3.VID/TheSwing.wmv 22MB /Edward
  11. Actually, Liseberg had only one ride in a Helix. Höjdskräcken is the one ride, in the... um... 2nd Helix of Lisebergbanan (down, around (1), U turn, over the bump, and around Höjdskräcken (2)). And now, 3 times around (and maybe under) the swings. Wonder if they'll cramb something in the first, and last Helices... But hey, sometimes it is fun putting things in the middle of Helices. In RCT games, I sometimes put a small Helix around towers (free-fall, observations, etc). /Edward
  12. Just had a look around the internet. http://www.husohem.se/ Suddenly it clicked. Hus&Hem sounded so familiar, and yeah, there's a magazine called Hus&Hem. Hmm... Just realized that maybe they own this place. Win it for 10:-, or if you really want it, see the magazine and find it for the full price. /Edward _________________ "Do you want the meat slicer?" 13. Well... Just saying that from what I can tell from the demo, NL seems a little complicated when it comes to woodies (could be just the support structure or something). If I want to make a wavey/curvey woodie (Hades), then I'd use NL for it. But if it's just up and down, there and back (Balder like), then I'd use RCT.
  14. Well, I don't have NoLimits to make a good comparison, but it might depend on what I make. I find RCT to be good when it comes to Woodies. I have a certain style to woodies where it works in RCT (of course, RCT was my first (proper) RCSim). Up, down, up, turn, down, up, turn, down, up, turn, down, turn, up, turn, down, turn, up, turn, etc. For more curvy things like steels and such, I think I'd prefer NL. /Edward
  15. Nä, men, va fan! Medan ni var där så var jag på Sci-Fi Mässan och hadde ett stop med Billy och Verne. Ok, I didn't have any beer with them, but had nice chats. I'm thinking of going there next weekend, though very unsure. It will be one of those spur of the moment kinda things. Might go just to get the entrance card, but no riding... And interesting additions. Roof over the 3 swings of 'Bergbanan. Anyways, maybe we'll meet some day. /Edward
  16. Hus&Hem... House and Home... You know, never really thought of it, but yeah. That's quite random. Heh, the 10:- Chance Flee Market. Hm. You know... Anyone can do that at any carnival. They grab things they wanna get rid of, put them up on shelves and label them with numbers, then just give away stuff at the chance of a dice, wheel, or Keno balls. <.< /Edward
  17. Not quite. When queuing people should take notice of a train "banging" into the station (stiff friction wheels), then see the sudden "scrunch". Of course, some might think "I can handle that", or they forget after the ride. But it isn't painful. I brace myself each time by pushing against the handle. There are 4 sudden stops. At the near end where you have the warning sign, then coast down the S bend and there's another, then into the station house and another stop (next to a mirror where I suspect another train is stocked), then roll forwards to where people get in and out and the final stop for the ride. My goodness that's sharp! Looks like it'd give you a heimlech (sp?). I used to be a little afraid of Lisebergbanan. When I followed some friends to try and ride with them, I looked over and I saw the people double as they hit the breaks and I thought "Oh dear... That rough?" But now I see... There's rougher... All this "sudden stop" talking is making me think of some of the RCT games. When you make a coaster, and make a strip of breaks all at something like 10km/h, the coaster doesn't slow down during this, it basically just stops at the middle to end of the strip (worse if it's block breaks and there's another coaster in the next section). I managed to make these coasters a little more comfortable with a little work around. The first break piece I put has the speed of the train, and for each piece I put after that I decrease the value. Ok, veering off track here... /Edward
  18. Well... There is a picture of me in my avatar, then there are vids of me on YouTube. If you are curious where the Avatar was taken, feel free to ask! /Edward
  19. I live a simple life... Of course, I still live with my parents... But I don't do unessaccery spending. I kinda make a little rule for myself: Never get anything unless I have what it costs times ten. Plus, I don't smoke, nor drink, and rare occations I go out for pizza (or any fast food). Only if I'm with friends or happen to get hungry when I'm far from home. And when I go out and my wallet is empty, I take out no more than 400.- (~$50) or so (no Visa yet). Unless I'm going somewhere I know I'm gonna spend alot of money (ei Theme Park ). You know, there is this show on TV called Lyx Fällan (Luxury Trap) where two people go to someone who seems to be in a bit of an economy fix and has no idea why... They collect the items in the home, ask the person what their shopping habits are like, and not until then do they realize what they've done with their money. Now, this is only in Sweden. Wonder if there are any anywhere else? /Edward
  20. Hi! I'm Edward, a Rollercoaster fan. Actually, fan of the physics involved. I have Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 3, thinking of getting NoLimits, and I live 12 minutes (drive) from a Theme Park with 4 coasters. To give you a hint what town I'm in, the 4 coasters are a Zierer Juniour, a Schwarzkopf Steel, an Intamin Woodie, and a Hydraulic Launched Intamin Coaster. /Edward Edit: Editing Model info.
