  1. I would ask in the SFOG Discussion thread on the main forum.
  2. It's always nice to have MANY good photographers!
  3. It think it depends on how often you go and how close you are to the park. I live right down the street from Universal Orlando and have never bought their Express Pass because I can go whenever I want with no lines. But if you're going once a year, or very infrequently, I would strongly recommend getting Fast Lane even if the lines are only 20 minutes and that 20 minutes can be turned into 0 minutes. Those pockets of 20 minutes add up quicker than you think and can result in getting more rides in or just having a calmer, less stressful day at the park. Personally, I would never go to Cedar Point without getting a Fast Lane pass, but I also only go on average once per year.
  4. All great pics! Going to use some of them on our socials! Great stuff!
  5. Please post more pictures like the one above! I'd love to Tweet some of those out!
  6. ^ & ^^ Ahhh, 2007 was still the "good years." When getting perks on trips and stuff hadn't gotten old hat and people still appreciated them instead of expecting them. The sense of entitlement hadn't set in yet, and other than a few people that we quickly booted out, the majority of the group made up for it. 2006 - 2009 were our "golden years." 2010 started the downfall and after 2014, forget it! Not to say everyone was bad, absolutely not. But in 2007 when we'd have 100 people on a trip and maybe *MAYBE* 5 of them were trouble for us, in 2014 the number was getting close to half. But it's all good...maybe one day we'll change our minds and see what happens! LOL
  7. It's literally NOT across the street from Universal. Unless of course you consider I-4 a "Street" and you ignore all the other little streets in the way... And, oh yeah, here's a little bit of light reading for you that I strongly recommend: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/literally
  8. You mean the complete other end of town! Fun Spot Kissimmee is about as far away from Universal Orlando in terms of "theme park distance" as you can get here in Orlando. Also, Fun Spot's coaster isn't an RMC so why is that even being brought up?
  9. Oh, FFS!!!!!! DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELINGDUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING DUELING
  10. If they were to remove Dragons I don't think they'd replace it with another inverted coaster. The general public wouldn't be able to differentiate the two and it would be a hot mess (see: Terminator replacing Psyclone) I could see either a hotel or another big themed attraction (maybe a coaster) replacing Dragons, but not another invert.
  11. Oh, my opinion means nothing because I personally don't care. I have actually heard that this will be a dueling coaster and we should start to see the 2nd lift hill go up any day now. Why do you think they are being so secretive about it? Then again, I could just be messing with you all. Or am I?
  12. There's a HUGE difference between "speculating" and being so stupid that it makes your brain hurt. Having said that, no one is forcing you to be here. Last I checked no one was holding a gun to your head forcing you to read our forums or to be bitchy about them if you didn't happen to like something you saw... Or wait... Crap... Maybe someone *IS* holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read our forums?!?!? Ok, listen... Stay calm... Next time you can get to a keyboard without the gunman seeing... TELL US WHERE YOU'RE AT!!! We'll send for help!!!! The last thing we want is for someone to have to endure TPR if they don't want to or don't like what they read. We'll free you of this burden! DOWN WITH THE GUNMAN!!!!!!
  13. You're an idiot. Please leave our forums so it can be made smarter for the rest of us. Thanks.
  14. Two things: 1. It's dueling. dUEling. Please everyone stop misspelling that. You're killing me! 2. Anyone who doesn't think this is an April Fool's joke is not very smart. I realize that applies to a few people in this thread. Just putting that out there.
  15. Who knows, maybe one day we'll do them again... Thanks for the kind words!
  16. If the bands are anything like the other similar systems, you won't run to the ride. Also if you can only ride one thing, then do you want to get get in the "queue" for the water coaster instead of all the other slides if it is 6-7-8x longer a wait? Can someone explain how this will work? If I am first in line at rope drop, and make it to the water coaster before the other guests, I will not be allowed to ride? I'll still have to reserve a time? Yeah, exactly. It makes absolutely no sense. If you read everything that Universal has posted or the reports from the test they did at Wet N Wild, even if there is no line you still will get a return time, even if there is no line at all, and your return time is in 5 minutes. I just don't understand why I can't be at rope drop, go right to the attraction of my choice, and get right on. I'm hoping this is how it's going to work, but everything that I've seen published so far tells me that's not the case. I'm going to make the assumption right now that WILL end up being the case as soon as pissed off guests complain that they aren't allowed to ride something RIGHT NOW that clearly has no line. So either this system is completely flawed or Universal has done a really poor job of communicating how it's going to work, because I still don't get it.
  17. Wait...REALLY??!?! SMH. I don't understand that! I just looked and WTF you're right! Universal Express is $115 during the summer and it's NOT good on two of the most popular rides in the park??? I'm sorry but that's just wrong. I mean I get that those two rides also have a single rider line which helps, but if you're paying over ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS per person IN ADDITION to the cost of your park ticket, you had better put me in the front of the line for every major ride in the park at least once. I would not buy the Universal Express pass knowing it does not include the most popular rides in the park, sorry.
  18. Well, to be fair, that's the "Premier Pass" which includes a bunch of random stuff (None of which I would ever really use.) The pass that most people would probably get is the Preferred Pass which is $448 .99
  19. Wait, what??? Isn't the WHOLE POINT of buying the Express Pass to bypass the lines on the more signature attractions??? I really hope that's not actually the case. Yeah, it's kinda buried under the "more info" on the express pass page, and Krakatau Aqua Coaster isn't listed on the "participating Locations" tab. So, yeah. It says your Express Pass will be pre-loaded into your Tapu Tapu and you will immediately enter the attraction instead of being issued a return time. That seems REALLY odd! Granted I have not used the Universal Express pass system in years, but I don't think I would buy a front-of-the-line pass if it didn't include the most major ride with probably the longest line in the park. At least with the Six Flags systems they will include "one ride" on the most recent new big attraction, which I still don't quite agree with, but I at least accept that as a compromise. Not including the most popular ride in the park seems really dumb to me.
  20. Hi, welcome to the Universal thread. Last I checked Montu and Kumba do not exist at Universal. Maybe you should try posting in the thread that is more appropriate. Thanks.
  21. Wait, what??? Isn't the WHOLE POINT of buying the Express Pass to bypass the lines on the more signature attractions??? I really hope that's not actually the case.
  22. Nope! But that's okay because it makes my day far more entertaining!
  23. We've thought about it. And I think having a LIKE Button would replace some actual discussion and we like the forums to be as active as possible.
