robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
LOL! I actually *nearly* posted that one in update but I wasn't too sure if it appeared to be too "stalker-like" or not... I wondered why Eric looked so 'out of it' that day. --Robb "Figured you were tired from making babies..." Alvey -

No, we won't be there. We're hosting Termination Day at SFMM on Sunday. --Robb -
^ It's not doing it for me.

At least you got the spelling of her evil twin's name correct.

Beech Bend Discussion Thread
robbalvey replied to Jonathan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Beech Bend Park was very excited when the Sea Dragon was purchased from Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. While Michael’s life was controversial at times, his contribution to the music world is legendary. With Michael’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with calls and visits from fans wanting to ride the Sea Dragon. Beech Bend Park will open its doors to fans of Michael Jackson on Sunday night, June 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. with complimentary rides on the Sea Dragon as a tribute to the “King of Pop”. The Sea Dragon ride was originally purchased by Michael Jackson and installed in his Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California in the mid-90’s (see picture at left). It was said to be Michael’s favorite ride. Beech Bend Park purchased the ride in November, 2008 and moved it to its new home in Bowling Green, KY. The ride was re-painted and re-assembled just in time for the 2009 season. -
I have merged all of our "dead celebrities" into the Mega Dead Celebrity Thread. This is a good place to discuss dead celebrities since it's the The Mega Dead Celebrity Thread. --Robb

Theme Park Review's 90 Degrees Shirt!
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ We do have this shirt in a YM, which is what Elissa wears. The problem with doing "girly" specific shirts or tank tops is that I have to buy a minimum number of shirts (usually around 75) to be able to sell them at such a good price (and to get shirts of high quality) and there is no way I could sell that many. Sorry! --Robb -

The Official TPR "East Coast/Behemoth Trip" Update

Sorry again for the delay, but we had another TPR trip get in the way. (Hey that rhymed!) Rye Playland now posted: http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/photo.php?pageid=272&linkid=6208 -
I don't want to argue this. I'm NOT going to argue this. I have zero time right now to deal with childish behaviour. Don't make me have to give anyone a 24hr warning. Just drop it. Comments about Captian E.O., positive or negative, are welcome. Posts flaming another member for their thoughts on the matter is not. --Robb

I sooo cannot wait for you to die so I can speak ill of you... Jarmor, there really is no reason for a post like this. --Robb

That was the biggest issue I found with the ride. Seemed like if you were REAL dumb you could easily put your hands or arms in places they shouldn't be and OOPS!!! One less hand or arm on your body. --Robb "Again, only if your REALLY dumb!" Alvey
-
^ Not everyone is going to agree that what he did musically was good. Personally the only thing he ever did that I found slightly entertaining was Captain E.O. --Robb

TPR's Termination Day! Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Still have *ONE* more ticket available for Termination Day. EMAIL me ASAP if you want it! robbalvey@aol.com --Robb -
Totally. If I was going to bang either one of them it would be Farrah... ...yet Wacko Jacko is getting all the press. Sad. --Robb

I dunno about that. Think about it. Larger parks like Kings Dominion, Great America, Dorney Park, Kennywood, Hersheypark and even California Adventure have a standard Wild Mouse that seats four people per car. Most of those wild mice run 5 to 7 cars. Tranan ran 4 cars with 8 people. Perhaps with more R&D its even capable of more? If a larger park can sustain a wild mouse I see no reason why they can't have this coaster as well. --Robb "Capacity might be a problem, just like with a Wild Mouse, but it wouldn't be a huge problem." Alvey

The dude owned a roller coaster and a pirate ship. Of course TPR should worship him! Then again he owned the Elephant Man too...

Yeah I took a crap load of footage! Lots of HD POV's from this trip will be coming soon! --Robb
