Not quite true. I would consider Kennywood an urban park, maybe Dorney. I'm assuming when Ginzo referred to them as "Urban Parks" he means like right in the middle of the city, like Liseberg as well. I would NOT consider Kennywood right in the middle of Pittsburgh! You have to drive a good ways to get there through some confusing roads (if you're not a local.) For some of the parks on our Scandi trip they were RIGHT smack in the middle of the big city and very easy to find. --Robb

^ You're just subminally thinking that because of the Hydro Thunder cabinet that was slightly blurred out in the background of one of the pics! --Robb -

I'm not sure you understand how it all works. You're paying for the "event" and the "event" includes admission. There is no season pass/non season-pass rate. Everything is one price. You have to remember there are a lot of costs that go into putting on an event like this and those costs cover things like: - Food - Drinks - Other catering - Operations costs for ERT - Animal trainers to come in early - Security, management, and guest services to come in early and stay late. - Etc, etc, etc... There are a lot of things that happen "behind the scenes" for an event like this, Termination Day, and West Coast Bash and all those things cost money and add up. We were able to offer a season pass/non-season pass rate for Termination Day because it was only one ride and a limited amount of staff was needed. For this event, the admission is basically "given away" and if we offered a non-season pass price, there would be very little discount, if any. For West Coast Bash, we did not offer that this year. Just like Bay Area Bash, everything was rolled into one cost. I hope that makes a bit more sense. --Robb

Actually, it was our decision. The Friday worked better for our West Coast Trip and this event ties into that trip. Also, we try not to hold events on Saturdays, especially if it's mainly for locals of a park for a number of reasons - - Frist off, if we have morning and night ERT does anyone REALLY want to be at a park ALL DAY on a busy Saturday? - Saturdays are usually parks busiest day in terms of group sales, catering, etc, so we often find we can get MORE from a park by avoiding Saturdays. Those are really the top two reasons. --Robb "We hope you can make it!" Alvey

Your TRs are always amazing. Glad to see that Cliff's is being well kept up. Always thought it was one of those very under-rated parks in the country. Silverwood, Cliff's, Waldameer, Martin's Fantasy Island, etc... All very similar and all great parks! --Robb
