So just to give everyone an idea, here is the park map: It is the "Netherlands" and "Scandinavia" section that has been lost according to Michael Mack in his Tweet above. And here is the list of rides in each of those areas: It would seem from the photos that the Pirates attraction was a total loss, but it's hard to tell what other attractions may have also been completely lost. I have not yet heard any other confirmed details.

This video shows the difference in speed between the rider cam that Craig shot at the POV that the park provided us. The POV hits the final brakes about 6-7 seconds slower than the rider cam. Not a HUGE difference, but enough to where you'd notice it while riding. Here's the POV that the park sent to us at is referenced at the end of the video above:

How would anyone really know? Doesn't a ride have to actually OPERATE for some period of time before we know any details about the operations of it???

Some of the pics are on Twitter. You shouldn't be seeing "image" unless Twitter is being blocked by your ISP or their system is not working. All the images show up just fine for me.

OK, this thread has now devolved into stupidity. We don't need more of that on TPR.

That is actually not the case, because the paint work added to the side of the sub station (just to the side of the top hat) has only just been painted, so it couldn't have been filmed longer than a couple of days ago. This is correct. I went back and looked at the two POVs and they were not shot at the same time. Shocking that someone on the Internet was wrong...

Someone posted on our Facebook page that the POV video that the park shared with the media was actually shot over a month ago and the ride runs much faster now. Again, I"m not sure why parks do this sometimes where you'd think you'd want to show off the ride in the best way possible. We'll have some ridercam footage posted soon from today so hopefully that will show the ride running more like it actually feels.

Is it really that unexpected? I feel like once every decade or so Six Flags buys a bunch of parks, then sells a bunch of parks, then buys more parks, closes some parks, buys more... This has been happening for many, many years even as far back as when they bought parks like Magic Mountain and Great Adventure. I don't have the time to do the research now because I have many better things to do with my time, but I'm sure someone could draw up a pattern over time between their buying and shedding of parks over the years...

And also keep in mind that not only are we responsible for our own posts, but we ARE actually responsible for everyone else's post, too. Contrary to some people's beliefs, TPR is not a "free place to say whatever the hell you want to." We do ask that people abide by some very simple guidelines and rules that can pretty much be broken down to "please be a decent human, not an obnoxious shitbag" and when people are unable to act that way (sadly happening more and more often lately) it's our responsibility to step in and correct that situation. And seriously, these last few pages of garbage could have been completely avoided if people would have been "decent humans" and apologized for their lack of personal responsibility. And in 2018 being a "decent human" is apparently too much to ask of people.

Not gonna lie - You guys are the reason it's still here! But seriously - when people ask us why we don't do as many events as we used to or why the public tours stopped, it's not because we don't WANT to do those events and trips. We *LOVE* doing them... Until some people show up... And make us wish we hadn't done them... And that's just me being up front and honest... People who are like Mr. Corn and VCXFreak is the reason why there aren't more TPR events and why we stopped doing more of the fun interactive park things that we used to. And trust me, it bums me out knowing that I'd love to do more things like that, but how do you stop people like them from showing up and creating whatever the next round of pointless drama is that I have to deal with? So the solution is just not to do those things anymore. Or at least do them with a private select group of people who you know aren't total douchebags. And we haven't always been right on the money in that scenario either...

First of all. If you are a former ride operator YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO POST AN ONRIDE PHOTO WHEN YOU KNOW THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED!!!! I don't care if you shot that photo with your phone, your watch or a potato. "Hey guys, I'm really sorry about that onride photo that I took. It will never happen again." is all you would have had to say and everything would have been forgiven! But no, you had to go the "I'm an entitled Californian and I'm allowed to do whatever I want to" route and that just doesn't fly with us.
