Once Upon A Time - TV Show Discussion
robbalvey replied to B&MBoy1982's topic in Random, Random, Random
I loved the Anna & Elsa (and really all of the Frozen) characters on the show, and thought the first few episodes were GREAT, but I really thought the whole "Snow Queen" storyline was terrible. Especially in the last few episodes of that section of the season. I watched it because I like the show, but I really thought it was one of the worst storylines they've come up with.... until the whole "author" thing. I actually really hated most of Season 4 and thought it was the worst writing and ideas they've had so far. I just re-watched Season 1 & 2 again recently and it's night and day the character development, ideas, and storylines. I mean, seriously what the hell was that whole author thing??? That guy was awful. And then the weird crap with Zelena returning in the form of Maid Marian and you want us to believe it was her all along. What??!? Just terrible. I'm hopeful for Season 5. But I'm not holding my breath. They are going with the age-old "let's turn a good guy into a bad guy" scenario that usually happens when the writers have run out of other ideas. Traditionally, that usually doesn't go too well, but we'll see... I like the show, but I think the direction it's gone in the last season and possibly this one makes me think it needs to end before it gets any worse. -
Has it really been a issue? I mean, I really didn't hear that many people waiting in super long lines for it. It rarely exceeds 45 minutes. The ops on the ride are terrific. And that's VERY reasonable for the park's "new ride" - one that many people claimed would have such low capacity that the line would be HOURS long!

West Coast Bash 2015!
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There are less then 25 tickets left for West Coast Bash! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, do it now! -
Some people just get so defensive over this discussion. It's all down to personal preference, and i'm totally fine with that. If someone prefers a gentle floaty moment on a ride versus an intense thrilling one, that's fine by me. What annoys me is when people try to tell me HOW INTENSE AND AWESOME the airtime on is. Sorry, I've ridden almost all of them and I've never found this to be true. And I agree with you. I've enjoyed every ride I've ever taken on Apollo's Chariot for example. The same way I enjoy a nice, pleasant Green Circle or Blue Square ski run. Mildly thrilling and lots of fun without any real threat or danger. But if I want a REAL thrill, I'm going higher up the mountain!
-
Yes. All of them. And if mediocre floater airtime is your thing, then I'm sure you'll love B&M hypers. And that doesn't make me an "Intamin fanboy" either, I just happen to like rides with good strong airtime. And yes, Intamin delivers that, so does RMC, so do rides like SFOT's Shock Wave, Lightning Run, Phantom's Revenge, DoDonpa, etc.... In fact, i'd love to see some accelerometer data on Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom as I feel both of those rides have stronger moments of aritime than any B&M hyper I've ridden! I do enjoy riding Nitro, Behemoth, Apollo's Chariot, etc. But don't tell me those rides have strong airtime, because they just simply don't. And that's not an "opinion" that's fact. Go take an accelerometer on both Apollo's Chariot at Expedition GeForce and let's compare. Does that mean Mako is going to be a bad ride? No. And I'm sure it will have a huge fanboy base and the public will LOVE it, but I don't think it's going to have the strong airtime like the other rides I've listed.

http://blog.universalorlando.com/whats-new/halloween-horror-nights-25/ AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON AND OTHER FAN-FAVORITES RETURN FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 25 My favorite time of year is almost here… Halloween Horror Nights! I’m getting super excited with it being our 25th event. I know our Entertainment team has some great things in store for us all. Like, I literally know. And it is amazing. So far, we’ve revealed four of the terrifying houses that will be taking up residence this year. When it came to the question of who would like to help reveal the remaining five houses, scare zones and shows, I quickly volunteered. I almost fell out of my chair from excitement when I learned one of my favorite houses from 2013 was coming back… One of the fan-favorites from years past is making a triumphant return—the retelling of the classic 1981 John Landis horror film, An American Werewolf in London. You’ll find yourself back on the English moors as you fend off attacks and witness the bone-crunching transformations. The best part? The wolf pack has expanded, and they’re going to be even more ferocious with a whole new look. Following that exciting reveal, I moved on to learn about the original content coming this year. And being an uber-fan myself, I can definitely say our Entertainment team has gone above and beyond for the 25th event. Here’s the line-up for the original content houses and scare zones: Jack is back and he invites you to join him for the ultimate reunion in horror. Universal classic monsters will attack from the shadows, meat-grinding maniacs will rip every scream from your throat, and ghosts of Horror Nights past will stalk you around every corner. You’ll find yourself dying to get in and relive your most haunting memories of the past 25 years of Halloween Horror Nights. Congratulations! You’ve been selected to be one of the lucky contestants on RUN, the most popular and brutal television show in the world. In this house, you’ll have to try and avoid the skilled assassins known as Reapers as you work through “death obstacles” designed to mangle and shred—all for the amusement of the audience watching from home. And good news: the now run-down Hellgate Prison has been selected as the battleground. Good luck! A new volume of Scary Tales has been released by Ultra Violent Comics: “Asylum in Wonderland”. This time around, you’ll follow the white rabbit through the looking glass and into a murderous 3-D Wonderland. All of the beloved characters will come to life in this chaotic world with an insane, nightmarish twist. You’ll be left asking one question: Is it all really in Alice’s mind? Or are the images you see real enough to kill you? They have returned. The Body Collectors are on the hunt for the human parts they so desperately need. Emerging from the darkness on a cold, winter night, they descended upon the unknowing inhabitants of Shadybrook Asylum. Get ready to face their sharpened blades as the screams of their recent victims echo throughout the halls. Scare Zones Psychoscareapy: Unleashed — The criminally insane inmates of Shadybrooke Asylum have escaped and unleashed their horror onto a Halloween block party in the streets of New York. Come join the party goers as the inmates kill for the best Halloween costumes for their very own special costume contest where you will be the judge. Oh, and this will be one of the bloodiest scare zones ever! ICONS: HHN — And now for the scare zone I’m looking forward to the most! It’s time to take a look back in history and come face-to-face with the icons from our past. Iconic characters from the event’s 25 year history such as The Caretaker, The Storyteller, The Director and more will be found roaming the streets of Hollywood. I’ve even heard The Rat Lady will be making her grand return! Scary Tales: ScreamPunk — This year, we’re bringing to life our most horrifying Scary Tales characters with a new twist. This steampunk-inspired version of Scary Tales is sure to leave you screaming. Evil’s Roots — It’s time to be immersed in Halloween’s most evil traditions in the scare zone located in Central Park. Here you’ll find the event’s traditional jack-o-lanterns in the air as you encounter evil fairies, humanoid bats, scarecrows and more. Think “Grown Evil” from 2011 but on a whole ‘nother level! All Nite Die-In: Double Feature — Last but certainly not least is a double feature of horror at The Carey DrIvE IN movie theatre. Wander down the streets of San Francisco and you’ll come across this theatre that has been named “DIE IN”, due to the gruesome murders that occurred. Enter if you dare… And, of course, we’ll have two live shows this year… The Carnage Returns — Jack the Clown is taking Halloween Horror Nights back in a blaze of murderous mayhem with his army of feared followers and his companion in carnage, Chance. Remember, Jack always has the last laugh. Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure — Of course, they’re back in an all-new Halloween adventure. I could never describe the hilarious insanity of that show. It has to be seen to be believed. Party on, dudes! So, one question for everyone: Who’s ready for September 18 to get here? I wish I could hit a fast forward button or something… Till then, that’s the full line-up for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights houses, scare zones and shows. I’ll see you out there!

While I don't disagree with you, just know that nothing is really "confirmed" in this business until it's announced and even then construction starts. I can't tell you how many rides I've been told about or overheard about throughout the years that never ended up happening. And there have been plenty of announced rides that also never happened. Even right at SFNE Batman Dark Knight was well under construction and then it never happened. So while I'm fully expecting the Roar RMC announcement on the 3rd, overhearing some people talk about a future ride never means it's "confirmed."

I think if it is 3D, they might finally overtake Lotte World as the park with most 3D rides/rides with screens. Lotte World has in 3d: desperados, 4d shooting theater, dynamic theater on the 4th floor and 3d haunted house movie outside. Then you've also got the 2D shooting ride with its screens, the circle-vision Lotte's balloon ride and their version of Turtle Talk with a Beluga and now the 3 wild attraction simulators. Just going off memory the amount of "media based" attractions at Universal: - Spider-Man - Transformers - Gringotts - Forbidden Journey (rumored to get the 3-D upgrade) - Hogwarts Express - Shrek - Dispicable Me - Terminator - Simpsons - Kong (rumored) - Fast & Furious (rumored) Personally, I'd like to see another non-media ride like Hulk, Men in Black, Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park, etc. I get that Universal is "ride the movies" but lately I feel like their rides are more themed around "watch the movies." Crossing fingers that the Nintendo themed attractions bring us back to actual "rides."

There's a huge difference between having a sense of humor and being a dick. Doesn't matter anyway because you're banned. Bu-bye... Ps. Nothing you posted was even remotely funny so maybe you should leave the comedy writing to the professionals...
