Dear TPR Members, I have noticed quite a few posts lately with the title of "Photo TR" that do not actually have any photos in them, but instead a link to where photos can be found. While I for one don't mind people posting links to videos or photos as long as it's not done as 'spam', it is misleading to use the "Photo TR" title if there are no photos included with your Trip Report! How can we fix this so it's not confusing? Simple! Here is the solution: If you are going to link to photos on an external site, please post at least a few of the best photos in your post and then link saying "For even more photos click here..." You might even find that will increase the hits you get to your photos by giving people a 'teaser.' Does that mean you post one or two photos? No, that would be obnoxious, but for example, Super Crack will post like 10 photos from his Photo Bucket, and then put a link to the rest. That is a good example of what I'm talking about. You will notice that the "Photo TR's" that include photos seem to have the best responses and a higher number of views (for example DerekRX's Photo TR's.) So if you would like to have a good discussion regarding your TR, please add your photos in your post! The "Photo TR" title was meant for people who take advantage of the feature TPR offers to be able to post your photos to our server. If you are going to post a trip report and only link to photos on an external site, please do not use the "Photo TR" title. Hey everyone, I wanted to bring your attention to an email I recieved today from a group that is apparently attemng to "Save Clementon's Jack Rabbit." The email basically told me to click on the following link and subscribe to magazines: http://mygrouppage2.efundraising.com/Home.aspx?pID=Pj2CvTnOMdM%3d&eID=291&touch_id=552524 The more magazines I subscribe to, the better chance they have of saving the Jack Rabbit. WHAT?!?!?!? :shock: Is this even legit? I'm sorry, but I just don't see how ordering a subscription to "Good Housekeeping" is going to generate the millions needed to "save a rotting roller coaster!" They mention nothing about how much they need, or what the plan would be if they actually DID raise enough money. If this even is legit, this is the worst attempt I've ever seen at a "Preservation" attempt! My reccomendation would be not to support this. You're probably better off "buying a whale" for Whalon Park...and we all saw how well that worked! Is anyone seeing lag on the fourms today? Basically if it takes longer than 4-5 seconds from when to click to when a page loads, that's too long IMO. I am doing some work on researching webhosts that are better for forums now, and worst case scenario I might go back to Lypha. As much as I did not like their customer service and the fact that their server crashed TWICE, at least the forums ran faster. Anyone know of a good webhost that you reccomend? --Robb

Hey everyone! Thanks to all those who participated in the last avatar theme park. You all made RatTums very happy! This time around, it's Ted who will get the roasting as we're going to use his avatat format for the next contest. The theme is simply: _________ Fanatic. The trip is over. We are back home safely and RatTums seems very happy to have us back! The trip home was kind of messed up, though, since our British Airways flight from Paris to London was cancelled due to someone on the plane the night before having an "Infectious Disease!" :shock: So we were re-booked onto American Airlines getting back to Los Angeles by way of New York City. It just meant longer waiting in the airport, and longer total flight time (14 hours versus about 11 1/2) And we're home now! But don't worry, for those of you who have enjoyed following our TR's, there is the "real" update coming soon complete with tons of photos and videos! OMG Soren! I have finally just gotten a chance to see all of your Photos and they are GREAT! You guys all look so silly in that survival course photo! And why, oh WHY didn't ANYONE get photos or video of Joey almost killing himself on the Klimhoed!!! I mean, he jumped off that thing as if there was a stunt man bag below it.
