^Afterburn gets a lot of credit as being one of the best B&M Inverts. It's no where near underrated -

Good Coaster, Bad Park

Goliath, Superman, and pretty much every coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia.... The coasters are superb but the park itself is really crappy -

^ I don't know if cedar fair would give the same name to a completely different coaster. Well, at least not in the same year. They'll probably theme it to a different reptile, probably a bigger one considering the size of the crate in the pics above. -

Crikey! A large crate has been delivered to Carowinds that seems to be containing a large reptile of some sort. I guess headspin is becoming something new and we're gonna get a reptile themed coaster along with WOF and KI. Photo Courtesy of Screamscape Photo Courtesy of Screamscape -

I agree but with the old trains and a horse shoe turn instead of the turn around on this one(Goliath @ La Ronde). I think if they wrapped it around nick central and did the turn around at the back entrance gates it would end up being a good ride. -

AMEN I agree with that SO MUCH but i could do without the new trains. The design is stupid because if your riding with someone else and you don't get the two front seats your not sitting beside the person you want to ride with. Or if you've got three or four in a group, only two of you get to sit together. The old seats were way better because you actually got to sit with the rest of your group no matter where you sit on the train. see..... the two on the outside are enjoying riding beside their friends. Not three feet behind them. -
i'm gonna go with around 235 ft. (give or take a few feet). and it's gonna be drop #2. i love the thought of the 2nd drop being bigger than the first. Goliath @ SFOG is like that and everyone i know who has been on it loved it. It's one awesome ride(even though the difference between the 1st and 2nd drop was only 5 ft.) haha

well, wild thornberrys is the first ride in nick central so they'd probably cut that part out to put in the hyper. and the thing about it going under the bridge........ i think it will be cool to see what kind of layout they'll give because of all the things on the other side of the bridge(Rip Roarin' Rapids and the Paladium) -

aren't they only running forward trains? to me that is a disapointment. the backwards side was my favorite. i actually have only ridden it forwards twice because i love the reverse side so much. I'm going in the first of August with my church group. I'm sure we'll end up riding it so I'll give a report on how it rides when i get back. -

QueenCityBoy..... just ignore what some people say. You unfortunately cannot please everybody. In my opinion your the most helpful person on this forum because you've actually worked there and have been there for past projects. You know from past experiences just how long things can take to happen. > And by the way, i really don't care if they change Nighthawks color scheme. I would be happy with green and black just as long as they repaint it for the first time since they got it.(But purple and black would look really cool ) -

QueenCityBoy wrote: Not necessarily....... Construction @ KI started so early because they are using a splash down effect. And it still hasn't been confirmed that it is a hyper. It could very well be a Dive Machine, although most rumors do lean towards it being a hyper. hmmm...... but we're not getting into that. Carowinds could still have something else in the works for '09 and are being extremely secretive about it. We'll just have to be patient and see..... -

yeah Carowinds needs some new flats too! I think a maXair would be a good addition. Or a sky swing, or some BIG flat. I just hope they put in something new in addition to HeadSpin or else they are just gonna keep digging their grave in the Theme park industry. Not saying they'd close down (because they are no where near doing that) but that other the other parks are gonna leave them in the dust. HRP is only a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive away. Same with SFOG. What I mean is, Carowinds has such great potential to be an AMAZING park and when they put off BIG projects over and over again, their fans lose intrest in them. Come On, who wants to go to a park every year and not have really anything new to do. I think they need to do something BIG in 2009. Something even bigger than HeadSpin to get the public interested in them again. If they were to do another coaster next year they would get so much publicity. Rarely do you see a park splurge their money to add more than one good coaster a year. I don't know..... that's just my opinion. It probably seems a little out there but I'm just sick of waiting for Carowinds to do something they've been hinting about for almost 4 years now. Pick up the pace will ya haha -

?How tall is it? HAHA I'm sorry, I love carowinds and all but the idea of a boomerang coaster being the tallest coaster in the park is HILARIOUS to me. Not to say that I'm not happy for the new addition. It makes me extremely happy that carowinds jumped in and got a coaster from GL so I am very anxious to see something new in the park. Now onto the point of past 2009 plans....... is it just me or is anyone else a little worried that carowinds may try to throw the hyper coaster idea out the window for next year now that they are getting HeadSpin? I really don't have a clue what they will do...... ....... If they go through with it and add the new hyper (or whatever they have in the works) in addition to headspin and also go ahead and redo Nickelodeon Central into Snoopy stuff then it would give the whole park a new, and very surprising, feel to it....... But then again they've done some wierd things in the past so right now it's pretty much anyones guess. So...... i don't know
