  1. The news I heard that will be announced today is that GM will be closing Pontiac's Division of GM.* Rumor is announcing at 9am. *not 100% sure, but sounds realistically could happen.
  2. Blue streak is being inspected to see if it can run or see what needs to be done to make it run?
  3. MB Oil Pump?
  4. Someone put up a photo.
  5. My insurance guy had a saying, "you can't get blood from a turn up". Six Flags is deep in trouble. The city was going to gain land, they sue Six Flags, they could end up getting nothing. The city should have accpeted the offer back in 2006.
  6. You could end up in TV or Radio.....websites are fastly becoming how stations get more product out, you can only air some much on airwaves without cancelling tv shows. The web is almost endless on what you can put out.
  7. Battery for an Hybrid car?
  8. Sweet, telecommunications major. What are you looking for when you get out? Television or Radio? If I ever go back for a 4 year degree it will be to Ball State only because I should be able to get out of there in 2 years with my credits from Vincennes University Broadcasting classes.
  9. My mom thought I was sleep walking this morning.....I wasn't. I was trying to sneak up on her. She was still awake when I got up for work. I quietly walked down the hallway, but she heard me. She called my name but I didn't say anything. When she stopped, I slowly reached around the wall and turned off her light and scared her. A long time ago, I did sleep walk. I had a butter bowl for when I changed the fishes water. I guess one night I had to use the restroom and instead of using the toilet, I used the butter bowl and didn't miss. I have quite an aim apparently!.
  10. If the park was to reopen in the current state of New Orleans, it would last a year at most. Sorry, but kiss any hope of a park in NO goodbye.
  11. New Orleans rejected 14 million buy out in 2007. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/04/23/ap6330069.html
  12. Oh well, it looked like a nuclear stack and it was in direction of Kentucky. I am not very familier with that area.
  13. Yeah, the NASCAR Driver is Kasey Kahne owns the team, he wasn't there, but he owns the team. I don't follow NASCAR anymore so I didn't know how to spell it. I should add that dirt track racing is how a lot of NASCAR drivers got started racing or got more into racing. Jeff Gordon, I believe, started in go karts before going to Sprints and then moving onto stock cars or something. Tony Stewart has raced Sprints in my home track.
  14. Time to update, major shake up in mine. 1. Diamond Back 2. Voyage (prev. #1) 3. Raven 4. Cornball Express 5. Adventure Express (KI) 6. Sheikra 7. Backlot stunt Coaster 8. Evel Knievel 9. Mr. Freeze 10. Chang How I rank my top 10 is depending on a number of factors, most important are Speed, airtime, smoothness. And less of a factor but a factor, theming.
  15. Bonus section...after leaving the park at 3pm I headed towards Lawernceburg Indiana for a United States Auto Club (USAC) sprint car race. These races are fun to watch. They still only turn left, but they are mostly local racers who here to race. Not like the NASCAR races. These you can attend for under 50 dollars with food at your local track if you have one. I purchased a pit pass which is ever more awesome. Ahem...WRONG! Your doing it wrong. If it wasn't for the pole, this would eb a good picture. I guess the older guy on the right side is a legend when it comes to track promotor or driving. Robert "the mad man" Ballou and Jesse "the rock it" Hockett. Changing a tire, they have one lug nut on each wheel and it is deep in there. So a regular car tire wrench won't work. These cars do not have starters. To start them, they have push trucks push them. The driver puts it in gear and as the truck gets enough speed, the engine spins enough to fire. Clay a spraying. either Levi Jones or Tracy Hines during qualifing. Tony Stewart Racing. Another example of sliding. and arrows for some of them. Cleaning the wall so drivers can see where it is. The week prior, the track put down new clay. Which in the first hot lap session, some of it was sprayed into the stands adn fans (including me). Jesse sliding through the turns. I always feel safe when a nuclear power plant is right across the river in Kentucky! NOT! How to turn. In the turn, break the rear end free and get it sideways adn crank the wheel the opposite way of the turn and floor it to keep it sideways. I like this picture, I believe taht the baby is his. I guess, didn't seem to be a fan. Another one, Jerry Coons Jr. Another big name, Dave Darland. Casey Khane Racing. One of the cars in the hauler I passed on the way to the track. This is what sprint car racing is all about, the fan/driver interaction. This is what NASCAR drivers do when they make the big bucks, own sprint car teams. This is Tony Stewart Racing. Also Casey Khane has a racing team. Shane "the throttle" cottle. These are the big boys. This would be Jesse "the Rock it" Hockett, another good driver. Billy Boat, a good driver. Sorry, these are AMSA mini sprints. These are the big boys. They either have a 360 engine or a 410 engine. They have just one gear, go. No shifting. To effectively turn you have to get the car sideways and just slide through the corner. More on that later. AMA Mini Sprint, these normally have a 1100 motorcycle engine. They were the support class.
  16. Few points before picture posting: *I was a common ticket holder so I didn't get to any rides until 10. *Didn't ride DB right away. *left at 3pm Coaster reviews in order of rides. Backlot Stunt Coaster: Launch was pretty good and the upward helix (?) is fun. Coaster is fun. Very smooth. 9/10 Racer: Seats are terrible, very rough, semi enjoyable. Liked the three bench trains 6/10 Adventure Express: I actually enjoyed this coaster. Very smooth, like the themed lift at the end. Sadly this is where we were stopped for about 20 minutes. Still give it a 9/10 Flight Deck: Fun and smooth. Not big person friendly (or tall person friendly). 8/10 Diamond back: I rode in back seat. First off the single riders have to have tickets? Why, isn't the point of these to fill out the train? AFter being denied a SRT, I waited in line and seen about one or two seats per train go out without anyone on them.... Anyway, onto the restraint, not big person friendly. I didn't fit the first time, I moved back farther and barely made it. But the back seat has awesome air time. That is all, next time I head to the park, Will take my video camera and my dslr. Get better pictures. Onto pictures. Bonus hint. I am parked in this picture...very well worth the 15 dollars for preferred parking. Rode it...goal was five coasters, got five after this. me being geeky Almost not big person friendly. almost 90 degrees The "cool" people in SoB que, breaking the rules... Got in line for SoB, line was slow, it broke down, I left and rode.... Got stuck on Adventure Express, pulled camera out of pocket took pic, put it back in. Rode blue racer My chariot awaits Skipped DB intially and went straight for this with a 20 minute wait. DB line. I am here. So is my crappy camera (good camera stayed in car)
  17. bed time for me....working mornings all week, work 5am to 1pm.
  18. I need jsut lose weight and just relax riding when I have time (other than walking when I am at work). Hopefully I can replace the fat on my upper leg with less mass then fat has. I don't need ot lose much mass. Plus as I said I need to loose weight in general, I was also close to not making it on top gun...err....flight deck.
  19. Get serious, I weigh about 270 and about 6'1". The part you need to worry about is the circumernce of you legs. I have large legs and that is where my issue was. I am going to start riding a bicycle when I can, because I need to lose some weight in general.
  20. I loved the ride. I almost didn't get to ride, I was in my seat and the restraint didn't go down far enough for the sensor. I moved back farther in my seat and was able to ride. As posted before, every single ride had a long line except the tower. My only gripe on the ride was that when I found out there was a singles rider line, I got in line all the way back to where it started. when I got to the main entrance where the sign is, I said I was a single rider. The attendant said, "we don't have anymore single rider tickets". So I had to wait 45 more minutes. While waiting I seen tons of empty seats and thought why have tickets for single riders. When I got to the station there was 5 people with single rider tickets. Luckily, there was a seat in the part of the train I want. Back seat, talk about airtime. I will post some photos tomorrow probably. I didn't take many pictures due to the long lines and leaving at 3pm. I only rode 5 coasters.
  21. Alarm clock will be set for 5:30 int eh freaking morning (three hours to the park), already have my ticket.
  22. Filter (fuel) for veggie oil for your car.
  23. Just got in from my other job, didn't realize someone had posted it.
