    Last sunday was the last day of the summer season. I ended my weekend in the park after helping my sister moving....     Some photos from last Friday, when I was a teacher aid at this year physic lecture @ Liseberg. Riding the wave swinger with water and slinky toys Liseberg has started to demolish building for the temporary parking space during the construction of the hotel and water park @ Södra parkeringen.     Today Liseberg took the first step of the Jubileumsprojektet. They will now start to clear the area and demolishing buildings to create space for the new hotel and water park. /// Marcus

    There is actually five cues (frist row, fast pass, single rider, the rest of the train & disability), the disability cue start @ the photo booth, the rest of the lines splits after the main entrance. /// Marcus

    In the pressrelease Liseberg states that the official ribbon cutting ceremony will happen on August 10th, BUT if the last certification, tests and staff educations are complete, the will do a soft opening earlier in the week Pressrelease - in swedish /// Marcus

    Today Andreas (CEO) rode Valkyria for the first time. [twitter] [/twitter]twitter It was also a article in the local newspaper about Valkyria that stated that the coaster will open in 2-3 weeks. GP about Liseberg and Valkyria (only in Swedish). /// Marcus edit: Valkyria will have a singel rider queue.

    It's only a notice in the "on track"-section in the latest First Drop about Lost Island and Kanonen. /// Marcus

    Liseberg just released a pressrelease: First testrun if Valkyria only in swedish. It says it was a sucsessfull testrun and they will continue on with testruns, tweaking of the coaster, training of the staff, completion if the theming and finaly certification of the ride. They estimate it will take ~3 weeks until the grand opening. /// Marcus

    Yesterday I got the information the Liseberg would do the first test of Valkyria today, so I got up early to document the event: Valkyria looks nice in the morning sun I will try to get both trains in the same photo.... Fun , fun, fun..... Inspection crew Train!!!!! Predrop inspection I don't want to drop Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Loop de loop We will brake soon Apparently Sweden played some kind of sport event today...... We lost I also add photos from last week, when I visited the park with my sisters kids and a secret guest... I saw that viking89 beat me with the video, but I didn't get the Twitter tags working anyway. Now we just have to wait until the certification of Valkyria is done before we can start riding.... /// Marcus

    Just beware that the world's largest youth football tournament Gothia Cup taking place 15-21/7 and Liseberg will be packed with participants.... Gothia Cup = 1700 teams from 80 nations. /// Marcus
