  1. I am glad this person is being put out on the public, that gives all those dumb a$$es that want to slip in their small child an example of what you should not do. It still shocks me to see people try to do this, especially in the area I work. Not to mention how when you say "sorry he/she is too short, everyone in the queue line either start booing or persuading you.
  2. I am very confident with Merlin taking over, I just hope everything turns up well. This is a very unique park coming to Florida since there is nothing like it here. Legoland will have Tampa/St Pete Orlando and Winter Haven supporting it so that should be good. What keeps the other Orlando parks and BGA alive during the not so busy season are the Brazilian, Argentinian and British tourist. The Brazilians and Argentinians go in a group that is much older and prefer thrill rides. I think that is one of the problems that legoland may have. How to attract people during off peak season. I have confident in them, it seems that with them, CG will finally be securely open for a long time
  3. The only new ride for the area is Air Grover and the Swings (well those are the old swings from the pygmy village) Anyways this is nice, but I think BGT still needs more kiddie rides. Not sure why they took so long to announce it...
  4. Do any of you think Merlin may not want to put a Legoland...maybe they want to do something different? You never know. But I am sure it would not work out if it was not a Legoland park. A legoland brand has a much better chance
  5. Well if you were to go to Florida I would say to hit Disney Magic Kingdom, just cause it is the most visited theme park in the world, why would you not go there if you come to Florida... For two thrilling theme park, go to Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens Tampa. For water park I say either Blizzard Beach or Aquatica. I would most def recommend Sea World Orlando as well because it is a very unique beautiful park with great shows, animal enocunters and rides (even though it does not have many)
  6. I think the theme park industry in general is not announcing new attractions due to the economy slowdown...
  7. I know and most of them get annoying and obnoxious. Now if they were coaster enthusiasts then I would of been fine with them..but they are not and they just...well let me just stop here before I ramble..... And yes wild surge is a pretty fun frog hopper, my stomach tickled a lot I was laughing the whole ride and then some after the ride
  8. Kumba needs another paint job 1:11 There has to be a way to somehow prevent that rust or whatever
  9. Well...the only thing that i am looking for to in 2010 is Harry Potter at IOA. Nothing else really...I am not going to China anytime soon so there is really nothing I can predict. I do think in 2010 small parks will flourish in the USA mainly because people are not going to spend too much money on bigger expensive parks. I think most of your prediction is of what is to happen this new decade, in that case I see B&M slowly fading out and eventually non-existing, unless they come up with new innovated ideas. I see Vekoma, Gerstlauer, and even Mack and MS being the top competitors. 2011 will be a much more interesting year for coasters and theme parks
  10. - Favorite new coaster EL TORO!!! - Favorite new ride hmm....I think I will go with the interactive dark rides like MIB or Toy Story. Rhino Rally was a very good concept and at the beginning a good ride..so it gets my second place - Favorite new park Gosh I did not go to any new park - Most memorable park moment Going to Disney again really early and crying when they did the show before opening the park - Most memorable coaster moment Kingda Ka...I was scare out of my mind when we climbed so high - Least favorite coaster Galaxy spin (cypress garden) - Least favorite ride Those bouncy things from Zamperla!!!! They tickle toooo much - Least favorite park Cypress Gardens - Most interesting ride you've seen introduced Mission Space - Least interesting ride you've seen introduced King Kong rides.... - The decade's biggest flop Hard Rock Park and Son Of Beast and Flying turns from knobles - The decade's biggest success Hmmmm....Dunno. BEC parks, Dollywood, Holiday park all come to mind - The best meal you've had at a park Busch Gardens Tampa BBQ!!! Awesome ribs, with fries and soda just under $10 - The worst meal you've had at a park The stupid and expensive fast food at ALL the Disney park, The burgers were nasty and the whole meal was like $12! Same goes for SFOT stupid taco salad for like $12 aswell - Best park turnaround Busch Gardens Tampa, SFMM, Disneyland Paris - Worst park turnaround SFKK, Hard rock park to Freestyle Music Park, Knotts! - What was the biggest trend of this past decade? Launching Coasters, Gimmicks (floorless), Skipping line tickets, etc
  11. This looks really cool!!!
  12. 1) Well it may be busy and i think they close either at 6 or 7....so get there early.
  13. They should of gone with Worlds Of Discovery, it suits them better....I know that Sea World is more marketable but Sea World parks and ent does not flow right
  14. Agreed. I also think he went through one bad experience and mostly focus on all the negative things
  15. Thanks for the report. Lots of cheesy stuff they could improve. Is only their 2nd year. They will get the hang of it. Just like BGT with HOS....They got the hang of it now. Anyways, I feel like perhaps BGE's may not be well trained, so I hope you at least contacted someone about this unfortunate situation and how this could be avoided. I hope they take that into consideration. To BGE's defense. Do you really expect to have a lot of rides working properly in cold weather? Stuff happens, and I assure you that the rides are well taken care of. From my experience, I noticed that there are those random once in a blue moon day, where all the rides decide to go down for whatever reason, and it is a B!tch. 1) People are all complaining, 2) The mechanics are hustling to get things fixed as soon as possible and as efficient as possible.
  16. I am planing on hitting BGT tomorrow
  17. awesome! i love these brochures. Is good to see old things like this!
  18. The sit down side looks boring, but looks can be deceiving...
  19. Saturdays are is always our busiest day...but this past sat was busier than we expected...I would suggest people to come on thursday
  20. We were told that the Clydesdale will leave the parks sometime soon.... And the names will remain. All other Busch merchandise have been sold off. I hope that BGA gets a dark ride connecting to Egypt if they take away the Clydesdale
  21. They should just keep the gardens as a cheap entry for locals ran by the city or something. This place could never be a successful Theme Park...Maybe a water park can sustain them. Do we know if they are keeping the water park?
