  1. I dunno if I will ride Manta or HRRR first. Maybe Manta since it will be easier for me to go to SWO really early and get in.
  2. The move was expected when Brito said no free beer to anybody. This is going to suck. It was the buyout that forced BEC to change this
  3. ^ I dunno why people say IOA had a close epic fail. I think it was a great success. As for HRP, it was destined to fail. Bad timing, bad location and their uninteresting ride line up were the 3 major factor for its failure.I think the only ride I might of gone out of my way to visit would of been Maximum RPM (Not even). It is sad because I liked the idea behind HRP, the theme and their attitude. Hopefully is similar park can be built in a better time at a better place.
  4. Pretty interesting that the park built the rapids ride. It is awesome to see that they can take care of their rides. Fire Whip looks awesome, and with an engineer from Vekoma, hopefully the park will get a brand new custom made coaster int the future.
  5. awesome trip report. This is certainly a top place for me to visit some day!
  6. No construction pogress of the coaster itself, just the stage. They need to hurry up!!
  7. ^ I was thinking the same thing
  8. It looks......smooth... wow um yeah
  9. The ride is looking good! I dunno what is so unique about it. I know is unique for mack but I don't see any unique elements other than the first hill.
  10. That layout looks weird and interesting
  11. Ooook....Maybe a debate B&M vs Intamin or CP vs SF but TTD vs KK??? WTF?
  12. Well personally i think the true purpose of the splash effect is really just a crowd pleaser and is meant to catch people's attention and get them in line or exited for the ride, not really much to be enjoyed while on the ride itself. At least with the two Busch Divers it is, because you really can't see the jets anywhere while riding because the restraints prevent you. But I guess with Manta you will be able to see it biased on the preview pictures, but nobody really knows as of now. It might just be one little fin at the back of the train and not on each of the left wing tips. But really, i think the true relationship between the MCBR and the splashdown is really just cause and effect if you think about it: No MCBR= Faster speed in splashdown = Stronger unbalanced forces on the train= more stress on the train structure and joints = more down time = less ride time I guess I understand what you are saying, but I think with some other type of element and a trim break would of been enough to control the speed
  13. is probably just making jokes. the train ops at BGA always make jokes like that lol
  14. Exactly. This ride did not need a MCBR. They just neede a dual loading station.
  15. It looks Awesome! I am glad they went with a custom made invert
  16. WOW, I wold never thought someone would give as much detail about a coaster so soon... The way he described the 2nd coaster felt more of a flying coaster and not inverted. Anyways this place is cool and if they do keep expanding, it will me on top of my list to visit
  17. Awesome they finished it before the end of the year!
  18. I find it hard to see how it will splash into the water and come out around...It seems like it is in a very tight space after the MCBR
  19. I don't see anything
  20. I am not liking how many block braked there are.
  21. I like the fact that they are theming most of the base of the supports. They are going the extra mile. Way to go SWO! They are just hauling butt on this ride. It is almost completed and its not even the end of the year...well it is lol.
  22. This show walk through attraction is good thanks tho the water vortex. So if they want to take that out, might as well replaced Poseidon Fury with a new indoor ride.
  23. Not sure if I like this blue color scheme...I hope they paint the support some other color to make it look nice.
  24. I pick BGA! BGA is a zoo first and a park second. BGA knows how to take care of their animals and how to make them interact with guest. Jungala is the best example and that new area looks beautiful! Also, BGA knows how to do very good events, Such as Howl O Scream. BGA like BGE have good coaster, but I give BGA the slight lead on this. BGE is better at theme, bu BGA is getting better (Jungala, Egypt, Sheikra). BGE takes the cake at landscaping, but BGA is not far from that. I do see a lot of great options or potential for theme when I think of Africa, rather than Europe. BGE is kept better, but I think that is because it is a seasonal park, plus it is in a nicer area. BGA on the other hand has to constantly keep up looking good and they do it very well. BGA is a good park despite its surrounding area (Very Ghetto) and it is because of this that BGA gets my vote, BGA has done so well despite all the set backs (location, climate [climate can be extreme in Fl from one day to the other and has hurt plants, tarnish paint, etc]) I think if BGA themes better and can work on Landscaping more they could be better than BGE to all those that prefer BGE.
